Gianina spent the next morning cleaning the Salvatore boarding house.The home was decades old but,it didn't stop her from wanting all the dust gone.She was basically forced to stay there because Mason wasn't answering his phone,which she found odd but,not too odd because of his actions the previous night.The other reason was because Stefan was at the Gilbert's so she didn't want to be there with Jeremy either.

"You know,you've been mopping that part of the floor for about 10 minutes,I don't think it'll get any cleaner."Damon yelled over the music Gia was blasting in the speakers.

"I'm thinking,you should try it sometimes it's really useful,brother."The Salvatore girl rolled her eyes.

"Well,I was thinking."Damon turned off the music."You need to go talk to your little boyfriend before I do."

"I have one of those?"Gia walked over to the speaker and turned on the music once again.

With a sigh,Damon turned it off and crossed his arms."Yes you do,Wolf boy Lockwood."

"He is not my boyfriend,Damon.Even though it's really none of your business because the only time you care about my personal life is when it involves Katherine."The second Salvatore huffed and put down the mop in her hand.

"Being the good and caring sibling isn't my thing,maybe you should ask Stefan for that."The eldest Salvatore shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't need either of you to care about me,I do everything for you guys,that's how it always worked,right?The sister who isn't really your sister ruined your life and always tried too hard to be considered family?"a knock was heard at the door after Gia completed her sentence."I'll get it."

As Gianina walked away,Damon genuinely felt bad for her.He had never said it out loud but,he did used to have some resentment towards her,he just never thought it was clear he did.Either way,he followed Gia to the door and when she got there she was hugging Jeremy Gilbert,it seemed they had more of a sibling bond than she had ever built with him and Stefan combined.

"Why do we need to talk to you?"Damon asked.Then,he proceeded to pull his sister out of the doorway and began to close the door.

"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse."Jeremy informed them."He's not a werewolf yet."

"Thank god,I would've been so worried about him if he had killed some—"

"Hm,fascinating.Not enough."Damon tried to shut the door,again.

"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for the moonstone,a special connection to a werewolf legend.That's why he's here."Jeremy stopped the door and Damon finally started listening to the young boy.

"I think K-...I heard something about a moonstone before."Gianina smiled to cover up the fact that she almost let Katherine's name slip.

"Moonstone?"Damon furrowed his brows.

"I know where it is."Jeremy said happily,it made Gia smile because he reminded her of a little puppy.

"Why are you telling us this?"Damon asked.Gia rolled her eyes at her brothers major trust issues and folded her arms over her chest.

"Gianina is my best friend so,if she's in danger or something I wanna help."The Gilbert boy shrugged his shoulders.

"Thanks,Jer."Gia smiled even more,her friendship with Jeremy was one of the main reasons that she decided to stay,except the whole Katherine thing of course.

"What does your sister have to say about this little discovery?"Damon asked,Jeremy stayed very silent."Oh,you haven't told her yet."

"Elena doesn't want me to get involved in all this."The Gilbert boy started to walk into the house but Damon stopped him.

"It isn't her choice to make,Damon.It's his life,do you see me or Stefan stopping you from anything,hm?"Gianina said with annoyance laced in her tone.

"Fine."The eldest Salvatore stepped aside and let the youngest Gilbert into the house.As the two men walked away,Gia clapped her hands giddily hoping they wouldn't notice.

Somehow,all the Salvatore siblings and Gilbert's ended up at yet again,another social gathering.Gianina was seriously starting to question where in the world the town got all this money but,she assumed it was better to not know.

"Hey,Mason."Gia tapped on the Lockwood mans shoulder.

"Nina,i'm so sorry for—"

"Let me speak."The Salvatore girl sighed and he nodded quickly."The thing about my brothers is,I don't like them but,I love them and i'll be damned if I let someone hurt either of them.If you were someone else,I would probably cut off your tongue and feed it to you.With that being said,i'm pretty sure this whole mate thing makes me hate you a lot less than I should so,don't do something stupid like that again."

"I promise I won't."Mason smiled slightly."Does that mean you'll go on a date with me?"

"Hell no,you are still in the dog house,see what I did there?"Gia laughed.

"Come on,when you think about it I didn't do anything and your brothers are clearly fine,I just seen Stefan a few minutes ago."Mason shrugged.

"I'll allow you one hug,that's it."Gianina extended her arms."and your hands better not go anywhere near my ass."

"Sounds like a good deal to me."Mason chuckled and wrapped his arms around Gia but,suddenly she was sucked into some sort of vision.

She seen a room,one with white sheets and fluffy pillows but,it was the person who was thrown onto the bed that surprised her, Katherine.It was almost as if she was seeing through Mason's eyes the moment it happened,feeling what he felt,he was in love with Katherine and her at the same time.

"Okay,that's long enough."Gianina faked a smile so he wouldn't think anything was unusual."Jeremy needed me to bring him a drink,I got distracted."

"I'll see you later,maybe even tonight?"Mason asked.

"Uh,yeah,tonight is fine."Gia nodded and once she was out of Mason's sight she sped to Damon and Stefan who were talking outside.

"Mason is with Katherine,they are working together."The Salvatore girl whispered to them.

"What the hell are you talking about?"Damon furrowed his brows.

"It makes perfect sense,they came around at the same time and Katherine just made us think she was here for one of us."Stefan stated.

Gianina had come to the realization that her mate and the "love of her life"were together and it broke her heart.She knew she still had feelings for Katherine and she knew that she had some weird connection to Mason.It was all too much for her.

"I've got a plan."

"How did you get stuck doing that alone?"Mason asked as he ran over.

Gia was pretending to move things out of a truck to lure Mason in.Soon after her sadness calmed down,her anger set in and she wanted nothing more than to question him.

"Matt and Tyler bailed,something about draft picks?"Gianina said as she rolled a table out of the truck."I'm a dancer,I don't speak jock, unfortunately."

"Let me give you a hand."Mason put his hands on her hips and lifted her off the truck before setting her down.

"Thank you."The Salvatore girl smiled and a wave of guilt fell over her,she knew that in any second Bonnie would come out and hurt him.

Just like that,the Bennet girl came out and started to fry Mason's brain.A small pool of tears formed in the corners of Gia's eyes as a result of this and she quickly looked away when Mason tried to make his way over to her,he thought she was in danger too and was trying to save her from it.

"I'm sorry."the tears began to lightly trickle down the Salvatore girls face as Damon kneed Mason and knocked him out.Gia was fine on the outside but,anytime that Mason felt pain since they met,she had felt little inklings of the same pain in the same area,the mate bond at it's finest.

Whatever pain Damon would inflict on him for the rest of the night would hurt Gia too,they just didn't know it yet.

Also,I am separating this episode into two parts so that the whole chapter isn't too long.Just be prepared for next chapter because that mate bond is really about to break Gia's heart.
