Greta, Klaus's witch had stayed over the whole night going on and on about breaking the curse. Gianina was sick and tired of hearing about it, and deep down she knew bad things would happen. Worst part was, the ritual involved her and people would be hurt because of it.

The ritual required Elena to die, something her brothers would hate her for forever. Something that she could not deal with. As much as she wanted to just let go of Stefan and Damon completely, she would never be able to. Not in a million years.

"You need a vampire and a werewolf, who is it going to be Klaus?" Gianina asked pleadingly, she really hoped it wasn't Tyler, they would have been apart of the same pack if all the werewolves weren't killed, and that made them connected.

"Well, I always have a main plan and a backup plan, love. Don't worry, you are the last person i'd sacrifice." The vampire said with a grin on his face.

"You can't do this, there has to be another way." The Salvatore girl said with a frown, she was dying to escape, dying to warn her brothers to go far away, as far as possible.

"There isn't, but if there is any sort of loophole you'll be the first to find out about it." Klaus said sarcastically as he glanced at Katherine. "Go be a good little vampire and fetch me a drink, Katerina."

Katherine, who was pretending to be compelled agreed and left the room, much to her girlfriends dismay.

"Nobody is going to love you more just because you are a hybrid, in fact they'll fear you, nobody will ever come near you again, why would you want that?" Gianina questioned. She was trying to come up with any way she could to convince Klaus not to go through with this.

He was taken off guard, and even seemed slightly hurt by her statement but smiled anyways, putting on a facade of someone who doesn't care about small things such as love or the feelings that come along with it.

"I thrive off of fear, you'll see that when we are traveling the world together." The original vampire was quick to come back with a response.

"You can't take her away." Katherine said as she came back into the room with a glass of brown liquid.

"I beg your pardon?" Klaus clenched his jaw and looked back towards the Pierce girl.

"Nothing." Kat handed the older vampire his drink and sat down, completely defeated like no one had ever seen her before.

Katherine and Gianina sat on the couch, completely and utterly still. They were both hungry, angry, sad, and still defeated that things were not going their way. Things were seemingly looking up until all of this happened.

"I am starving." The Pierce girl complained as she slowly got up to her feet.

"Maybe there is blood in the fridge?" Gianina suggested, she got up too and ran a hand through her hair, things had been different between her and Katherine the past few days and she knew it.

"I look terrible desiccating, there better be." The Pierce girl walked to the fridge and swung it open before sitting down on the ground.

"I'm sorry we are in this mess." Gia said in a low tone, almost scared to bring anything up.

"It's not your fault that he is completely obsessed with you." Katherine rolled her eyes slightly at the thought of Klaus looking at Gianina.

"Is that-"

The girls both heard the door knob turning and quickly ran over to it.

"Look who's dumb enough to come back." Katherine commented smugly as they seen Alaric lean on the doorway.

"Well, somebody had to invite him in." The Saltzman man replied, confusing the girls as he turned around. "Damon, would you like to uh, come in?"

The blue eyed Salvatore happily entered the apartment and Katherine sped over to him, pinning the man against the wall.

"Are you trying to get us both killed?" She asked angrily.

Before long, Damon turned around and put Katherine in a choke hold.

"You are both so immature, could you please stop with the games? It's giving my a migraine!" Gianina yelled.

"I gave you two vervain for Katherine, now i'm here to collect. I've got it from here Ric." The Salvatore man said to his best friend.

"You sure?" He asked in return.

"Yeah, only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back in the house, keep Elena from handing herself over." Damon demanded.

"I'm sorry, get blamed for what exactly? Because if you want us to repay you by doing something that could get us killed, no." Gianina knew her brother and knew he would be bold enough to request that from them.

"I need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf." The blue eyed Salvatore stated.

"Why? What are you going to do?" Katherine asked curiously.

"Dead wolf equals no ritual." Damon smiled, almost like he had thought of the best plan in the world.

"I'm not just going to let you just kill a werewolf for no reason!" Gianina said loudly.

"You can't interfere Damon, Klaus will kill you and anyone you have ever met." Katherine informed him.

"Not to mention it's the worst idea i've ever heard." Gia shook her head and scoffed.

"I just need to delay this thing." Damon pleaded with the girls, meaning he did something incredibly stupid.

"No, no way." Katherine shook her head and walked off.

"You should both like this, it'll buy Katherine another month of her pathetic life and then you two can run around like Thelma and Louise." The Salvatore man said.

"Right, except i'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing." The Pierce girl informed Damon.

"Gia?" He asked.

"Nope." The two girls said at the same exact time.

"He went out earlier today to get Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. Therefore, we are in the clear." Katherine said happily, Gia was not so happy about Klaus's choice of sacrifices.

"What if I told you both that Elena had vampire blood in her system?" Damon asked with a sigh.

"What!?" Katherine and Gia said at the same time, both wondering how it happened.

"Yup, and no offense to you Gia but i'm sure Katherine wouldn't like competing with Elena for Stefan's heart for eternity." The Salvatore man said, making Gianina's heart sting once again.

"The tomb, he's got them in the tomb." Katherine said to Damon who quickly ran off.

In that moment, all of Gia's insecurities about their relationship came back. Did Katherine really love Stefan? Was she just a second choice until her brother realizes he wants to be with Katherine? Those questions ran through the Salvatore girls head as she looked at her girlfriend, completely broken.

Klaus stormed into the apartment after coming back and forth between there and getting things prepared for the ritual. At one point, he made Katherine take off her daylight ring, Gianina didn't even really feel like helping, she just felt numb to the amount of times people had disappointed her.

"Where's Maddox? He should've been back ages ago." The eldest vampire said as he took out a computer and sat it on the table.

"I don't know." Katherine shrugged her shoulders. "What are you doing? Where's Elena?"

Gianina stayed silent in the corner, trying to drown out the conversation. Too much was happening and she just wanted to think. It was times like these she just wished to be back in the studio dancing.

"I sent her off with Greta, it's almost time." Just as Klaus finished his sentence, the door burst open.

"I wasn't aware you'd been invited in."the old vampire said angrily.

"I've come to tell you that you need to postpone the ritual." Damon informed him.

Gianina sighed at the amount of times she had heard the word ritual in one day.

"Didn't we already have this conversation?" Klaus asked.

"Yeah, but that was before I rescued your werewolf, and vampire, and killed your witch." Damon commented, making Klaus rise to his feet.

"Excuse me?" The original questioned.

"...and you can kill me for it, I don't care. It was all me." The Salvatore said, Gia looked up from the ground, not wanting her brother to die.

"Gianina, Katerina, give us a moment." Klaus said with a smile.

"Please don't kill him.." Gia pleaded.

"Give us a moment." The original said once again, making the two girls walk away.

After that, things continued to go downhill. Klaus came back from knocking out Damon and Gianina found out he had been bit by a werewolf, completely breaking her heart even more. The next thing was enough to send her over the edge again, Katherine called Jenna Sommers, Jeremey's aunt to be the vampire in the ritual.

The ritual that would make her a hybrid.
