You're on an island you discovered recently, exploring all the amazing sights there.

You soon stumble upon a large altar with a massive gem sitting on top.

When you go to touch it, someone yells at you.

You turn to see a red figure glaring at you with his fists drawn.

Today, we're pitting you, the average person, against Knuckles, the last surviving echidna.

Knuckles backstory is one with a lot of loneliness and survival.

After the supposed god of destruction, Chaos, destroyed the echidna tribe, barely leaving any survivors.

Since then, generations of the last echidna family have been guarding the Master Emerald from any intruders.

The Master Emerald is an important and scared power that is strong enough to take or give energy to the Chaos Emeralds, making it the most powerful object in the world.

The duty of this task was eventually handed to Knuckles for him to guard with his life.

So now you know who this is, but just what are you up against?

Knuckles is always known for his unmatched physical strength, easily able to lift several tons off of the ground.

He can easily throw something like a heavy boulder or catch a car being thrown at him, provided he actually has enough time to react.

In the Sonic Boom intro, you can see that Knuckles is strong enough to punch the ground and trigger a fault line, causing a volcano to erupt!

In Sonic X, he destroyed a device on the moon, despite being in zero gravity!

And his most impressive feat....

Punching Sonic out of his Super form and knocking the Chaos Emeralds out of him!

Knuckles is also really durable, taking hits from people like Sonic and Shadow and still live.

He can also glide for some reason, which means you're up against another opponent who can kind of fly.

Knuckles is also fast enough to run behind Sonic, though Sonic might've slowed himself down some so Knuckles and Tails could keep up.

So you're up against a guy who can lift and destroy massive objects with his bare hands and pretty much take hit after hit.

Just how are you going on beat him if he's that strong?

First step, RUN AWAY FROM AND AVOID HIM!

Forget about taking him up close with whatever heavy bat or hammer you brought with you!

Knuckles fighting style literally is boxing, along with a few other styles if needed.

Fighting Knuckles up close is out of the question.

You need to take him out while keeping your distance from those massive fists of his.

If you're able to get your hands on any gun, I'd recommend trying to get any type of sniper rifle.

If you can find the perfect place to hide, a perfectly fired headshot could end the fight quickly.

Though you will be pressing your luck, because if you miss, Knuckles will know where you are, making an instant game over for you.

How about instead you try a shotgun?

If you can ambush him up close, you could quickly fire a close range shot, leaving him with plenty of wounds.

The only problem is that Knuckles is super alert at most times.

If your ambush doesn't happen quickly enough, Knuckles will take you out before you pull the trigger.

Yet again, we're going to have to turn to Home Alone favorite strategy: traps!

Unfortunately, you won't be using a basic trap.

Knuckles knows how they work since his island is littered with them.

But....you could use that to your advantage.

For the first time, I'm recommending you fight Knuckles on his own turf.

Yeah, you're going to have to trap him on Angel Island.

But you're trap isn't a basic one.

You will using a clamor mine like the military.

Knuckles always expects his intruders to either fight him directly or sneak the Master Emerald away when he's not looking.

The last thing he expects is for someone to leave a trap on his own island.

The plan is to hide the clamor mine underneath or near the Master Emerald.

It's the perfect trap since he'll be guarding it when you set it off.

When you manage to fly up to Angel Island, find the perfect hiding place near the altar to the Master Emerald.

You should wait until Knuckles has to leave for something.

While he's gone, try to hide the mine as close to the Master Emerald as you can.

If you also have the perfect cover planned out, you won't have to worry about getting hurt by your own trap.

Once Knuckles comes back to guard, trigger the mine.

You can now watch as several hundred steel balls and shards of the Master Emerald tear through and impale Knuckles everywhere!

And I literally mean everywhere!

If Knuckles still manages to survive, he'll have too many wounds to handle in order to fight back.

This is where you grab your weapon of choice and finish the job.

If you're going for a melee approach, I'd recommend something sharp and quick.

A bat or a crowbar is just making the fight take too long. Unless of course you're just doing it to make him suffer death by head trauma?

Regardless what melee weapon you choose, you will still need to dodge those fists.

Luckily, he should be drained of stamina since his body is still struggling to heal from the clamor.

If your approach is a ranged weapon, simply fire two or three shots to the chest and one to the head.

Congrats! You've defeated a god like Echidna!

Now lets hope you're up for the task of fighting the God of Destruction, Chaos, because you breaking the Master Emerald did just free him!

In summary, Knuckles may be strong physically, but he's no match for anyone of superior intelligence.
