"It's......Yuma."

They all stand there shocked. Mouths open.

"Are you kidding me?" Shark asked.

"Are you telling me we're duelling for no reason?" Kite said.

"Well.....yes and no. Kite, you and Shark are like brothers to me. That's all I've ever thought of you two. I'm sorry." You tell Kite.

"I get it. It's fine." Kite said.

"Yeah. You can like who you want. And so will we. You know that this isn't over, right?" Shark said.

"I know." You say as you laugh.

"See you tomorrow." Shark said, as he left.

"Yeah, see you." Kite said, as he left too.

That left Yuma and you together. Yuma was still in shock.

"Yuma? Are you ok?" You ask him.

"Umm......"

"I said the truth. To end the fight. And maybe if you know the truth, you would like me back."

"Well.....I.....do." Yuma said.

"What?" You say softly.

"I do. You're cool, funny, caring, kind to everyone, and....cute." As he says that his cheeks turn red.

You laugh under your breath.

"Come on. Let's go." You say, as you grab his hand.

You saw his face get even redder.

"Stop being so nervous." You tell him.

"Sorry." He says.

"You can't be sorry. It's natural. But we're fine with each other. Right?"

"Of course. But...it's just different now.

"I get it. But just need to act normal. I like the real you. The clumsy, stubborn, school kid. Ok?" You say.

"Yeah. Come on." Yuma pulled you.

"To where?" You ask.

"Umm....I don't know." Yuma said.

"Well, it's getting late. You can eat dinner with us." You offer.

"Yeah! That sounds great!" Yuma says.

He let's go of your hand and starts running.

"Hey! Wait for me!" You yell at him.

And you start to run after him. After a couple of minutes you are walking into your house.

You and Yuma sit at the table and wait for the food. Your family tries to embarrass you, which they do. Yuma laughs, you laugh, your family laughs. You eat dinner, laugh some more, and you take Yuma outside.

You both are sitting on the front step looking at the stars. You put your head on Yuma's shoulder. He grabs your hand.

"It's beautiful out." You say.

"Yeah. It is." Yuma replies.

You take your head off of his shoulder.

"I'm lucky to have you around."

You lean into Yuma's face. He leans back. You feel your lips touching. You kiss him gently, and so does he. Only for a few minutes are you kissing. Then you both pull away slowly.

"It's getting late. I should go."

"See you tomorrow then?" You ask.

"For sure." Yuma replies.

He gives you one last kiss on the cheek and with a wave good bye, he leaves.
