"Yugo, you'll catch a cold"

"I'll be fine, (N/n)! It's just a little snow!" Currently, Yugo was trying to make a store run for things in their little apartment, while (Y/n) was trying to stop him from going. One of her eyebrows slightly lifted higher than the other at his statement, crossing her arms across her chest. (Y/n) walked over to one of the bigger windows, lifting the curtain high enough for Yugo to look outside.

"A little? Yugo, there's snow pushed against the window sill" Yugo only laughed in response, removing the ear muffs from (Y/n)'s head.

"It'll be fine" He sighed out, lightly caressing her cheek. He gave a reassuring smile her way, hoping that she'd give him the house keys.

"But I just got home!" She whines, tugging playfully on his jacket.

"And I'll be back home in at least ten minutes"

"But that's ten minutes of lost cuddle time! I even put two mugs of hot cocoa in the microwave!" Yugo laughed once more, ruffling (Y/n)'s (h/c) hair.

"That's very tempting! But (N/n), what'll the neighbors think?~" Yugo playfully sung, a smirk on his face. (Y/n) rolled her eyes, a smug look on her face once again for the night.

"Nothing bad! Maybe, 'Aw, that young couple next door are spending the holidays together!'" She replied, attempting to get his jacket off, "Or, in Rin's words: 'Yugo's taking my threats seriously and is actually being a good boyfriend this year!'"

"I've really gotta go, it could get worse..." Yugo stated, smiling weakly.

"The fireplace's nice and cozy, perfect for snuggling" (Y/n) replied, placing her hands on her hips and keeping a goofy smirk on her face.

"I don't think I can at the moment-"

A loud Ding! from the kitchen catches both of their attention, signaling the hot chocolate had been completed. A sly smile managed to make way on (Y/n)'s face. Yugo looked from the front door to the kitchen entrance, weighing his options. He unfortunately was unable to catch the look on his partner's face before it vanished, changing into something of innocence.

"If you leave, the cocoa won't be hot anymore! I can imagine it now; You get home, cold from being out in the snow. Once you try to drink some to warm up, it'll be cold!" This idea kept Yugo in thought for a moment, his eyes darting from (Y/n) to the door in front of them.

"I-I can't stay! I need to run this errand, it's super important!" He finally answered, lightly grabbing the keys from her hand. (Y/n) looked down, upset a bit that Yugo was still going out there.

"I guess so, since it's that important..." Looking up, (Y/n) smiled weakly, attempting to show it was ok. Unfortunately, her eyes betrayed her by showing how much it really hurt. Yugo noticed, the look on his face softening.

"...Maybe a bit of hot chocolate before I leave wouldn't hurt..." (e/c) eyes brightened and shined at the sudden words Yugo muttered.

"R-Really?" (Y/n) squealed out, nervously pulling on her sweater hoodie strings. Yugo nodded with a weak smile.

"But only for five minutes! After that, there's something I really need to do!" (Y/n) nodded, beaming with happiness. She smiled widely, excitement shouting at everyone through her pupils.

"I'll be back in ten minutes" he stated, ruffling the (h/l), (h/c) hair that belonged to the girl in front of him. She nodded, lightly touching his hand with her's.

"Be careful, please" Yugo grinned, kissing the top of (Y/n)'s forehead. She smiled, watching as he left out the door, hopped on his duel runner, and sped off.

The dilemma here would be that Yugo still isn't back yet. It's been twenty minutes, ten minutes over his proposed return time. Should she have been as worried as she was? Maybe not, but (Y/n) couldn't help herself. She was extremely worried. Pulling on the strings on her coat, (Y/n) nervously bit her lip, silently hoping he would be back soon.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The sudden noise brought (Y/n) out of her thoughts, causing her to jump. Once she realized where the knocking was coming from, she immediately ran for the door. (Y/n) yanked the door open, tackling the blue eyed boy. Yugo laughed lightly, wrapping one arm around (Y/n).

"What took you so long?" (Y/n) asked, pulling Yugo out of the snow and into the warm apartment. Yugo smiled as he was pushed onto the comfy couch.

"Just running an errand, one that you'll probably enjoy!" He answered. (Y/n) found her attention on Yugo's hand, which had been behind his back since he got back.

"Oh, really?" (Y/n) asked, reaching for the hidden hand. Yugo noticed, switching hands and moving the present further away.

"I believe so, (N/n)!" He smiled, moving away from the girl. Unfortunately, she tackled him as soon as he was up.

"Gonna show me, Fruit Bowl?" (Y/n) asked, leaning over him.

Yugo was slightly (majorly) flustered at their position, trying really hard to keep a straight face. Once Yugo met her determined eyes, he looked away, flustered. It was one thing he loved about her, that determination that she hid from many.

(Y/n) took notice of his distracted nature, using it as a way to take reach the present behind his back. Once Yugo regained focus, it happened to be too late. (Y/n) snatched the present, cheering in victory.

"Got it!" She quickly opened it, smiling happily. Soon, her smile dropped, eyes widening slightly at the sight before her. Her eyes watered at the small thing wrapped in holiday paper, a couple of tears leaving them. The look worried Yugo, hoping he hadn't messed up.

"I-I can take it back if you don't like it! Don't worry ab-"

"I love it!" She exclaimed, hugging Yugo tightly. The sudden outburst caught him by surprise as he slowly wrapped his arms around the smiling, crying girl.

"Great, 'cause I really didn't plan on returning back to Shun's house" Yugo laughed out, wiping the girl's cheek. She smiled back, squeezing the sewed up toy in her hands, "It's freezing out there!"

"I told you" (Y/n) stated, grabbing the fluffed up blanket off the sofa and throwing it at Yugo. Soon after, she returned to squeezing the the small, fixed up teddy bear. Yep, looks like this one's going in the books for 'The Best Christmas Ever'!
