Part 18 — I Don't Like Her

Xin watched Jessica wave at her and Zap as she left the apartment. As she saw Zap close it, she finished her dinner. She looked up at Zap. "I can't lie to you. I don't really like Jessica that much."

"Why is that?" Zap asked.

"She seems weird. Like she has a dark aura around her."

"Really?"

"At least, that's how I feel."

"Huh. I don't really see what you mean."

"I just don't like her."

"Don't get jealous."

"...What the fuck?"

"I'm just teasing you. I understand if you don't like Jessica, and that's fine. Just don't greet her with a knife to her neck."

"I'll do it to her stomach—"

"Xin!"

"Not sorry."

"Geez..." Zap grabbed a bar of chocolate from the fridge. "Going upstairs."

"Do that." Xin walked into the kitchen. "Wish me luck."

Zap saw her. "This isn't going to go well. The fire extinguisher's near the sink!"

"Fuck you!" Xin watched Zap as he walked upstairs. She grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen. "I'm going to smack him with this." She put it on the stove and turned on the flame. She poured cooking oil and cracked an egg. "I'm going to do this to Jess' head." She started to scramble the egg. "Just like Zap's mind when he decided to start dating Jess...stupid." She poured soy sauce over the egg. "The way her blood will spill out when I get to her..." Xin stopped thinking for a moment. "I'm going crazy. Can't say I don't like it, though." She started humming as she finished cooking the single scrambled egg.
