Part 27 — That's My Artifact

Reaching the four scientists was easier than Zap had thought. And this is why I'm a secret agent. He peeked around the corner and saw the artifact, lying on a table. It was being closely examined. Zap, clutching a smoke grenade, pulled the pin and threw it inside the room. When it began to fill, Zap rushed in, grabbed the artifact, and ran outside. He jumped over the railing and down onto the third floor. He quickly ran down the steps onto the second floor. Dodging scientists in his way, he made his way down to the first floor.

Running out of the exit was not the end. A group of scientists were chasing him by foot, and cars were being started up. Zap quickly ran around to where less cars could reach him. He turned around multiple corners until he reached HQ. He pulled out his card and swiped through security. He closed the doors and ran up. Once he reached the computer room, he stopped to breathe. He pulled out his gun. Hannah looked at him, confused. "What... happened?"

"I just took back my artifact. No big dea—"

Zap was interuppted by the swarm of scientists rushing in. He threw a smoke grenade with hs right hand and started firing. When he ran out of shots in his magazine, he put it in its holster and pulled out Xin's knife. He caused minimal damage, but enough for him to slip out, with the help of the smoke.

Once Zap reached the exit he ran for his apartment. He rushed inside the apartment, knowing that he was safe.

Although, not safe from the two girls inside.
