Part 16 — Say Goodbye

Xin was looking at him oddly. "Why?"

Zap looked at Xin, Azyra, and Momoko.

Keep close to you what you love most.

Zap shook his head, slightly enough so that no-one noticed. That has to mean to keep them away from all the dangerous things I do...right? Zap shook his head again, this time so that they could see. "All of you just stay here. It'll be quick, I promise."

"I swear, some horrified ghost has possessed your body and made you worried about everything. I'm still going to go with you," Xin said.

"I'll stay back with Momoko," Azyra said. She turned to Momoko. "You're not going, are you?"

"I have no experience in this sort of thing," she replied. "I'm definitely not going."

"Xin—" Zap said, trying to protest.

"Let's go," she said, walking ahead of him.

"Ugh. Alright, you two, we'll be back," he told Azyra and Momoko. He went down the stairs to prepare. He grabbed his jacket.

Xin, gun and knife at her sides, simply walked outside. "Ready?"

"Yeah," Zap said. Xin opened the door and they both walked outside. Azyra closed the door once they had left the apartment lot. She turned to Momoko. "Don't worry about them," she said. "They'll be fine."

Once Zap and Xin reached Momoko's college, they hid their weapons and walked inside. They noticed Ed, dusting his hands as he was walking towards the exit. Zap pulled out his pistol, prepared to shoot. He looked back at Xin, who was in a crouched position. He looked back towards Ed and was tackled down by Xin.
