Libra POV

"She's awake...." A moan escaped my lips and I would've felt embarrassed if it wasn't for the pain overwhelming any other feelings.

I hissed when I felt a cut on my hand, they were tied up by a rope behind me and it burned when I pulled away.

I was blind folded so I assumed I was sitting in a dark room.

"Libra right!?" A chuckle danced in the room, did they think torturing me was funny?

Sadistic.....

"I'm going to propose a.....deal or a compromise, whatever you wish to name it. I know you might be a bit curious to know what's going on and the answer could be yours and even your freedom. From the chair and ropes I mean...." The masculine voice trailed off and even though I should've been trembling in fear, there was no danger or malice traced in his tone.

"I don't really enjoy being kidnapped, just gonna put it out there....."

"Ah! I like this one...." Another masculine voice not as deep as the previous, sounded like a young guy, joked around.

"I don't mean to hurt you, I really don't. We're going to need a sort of bond and trust among each oth-"

"Trust!?"

"Perhaps I should get to the point but I ask for your patience nevertheless and if you're capable, no interruptions. I promise that I'll let you and your friend g-"

"Where is she!?"

"I see your manners only extend so far..."

My lips sealed again, I was probably dealing with a murderer and here I was opening my mouth.

"What do you want....."

"Good. You're friend is ok. We are not trying yo hurt you and no hand will go near you unless you say so. I ask for your trust, just try to confide with us...."

Hushed whispers scared me, I didn't know what to do. I did not want to have to make so many decisions. My life and my friend's life was in his hands though, I couldn't shield myself from danger if my hands weren't freed. My wings could not transform if I didn't have the space, it wasn't impossible but flying out of a room where I had no sight of was difficult.

And if my eyes were not directly gazing into another human's eyes, I had no powers whatsoever to free me from this one.

"I w-will trust in you bu- reasons. I need them...."

If I couldn't defeat him, I'd have to be with him. Seemed logical enough, or maybe I should have yelled and kicked and fought but what's the point?

"You don't think I know who you are! You're the one who came for what, a school inspect with those others. I knew it was you! And I know that man was either Gemini shifted into someone else or either you were controlling him to do as you like!"

I couldn't help but gasp. A silent but shocked gasp let itself out without permission.

How the hell did he know?

He knows my powers, my identity  and there is no other explanation but this must be Ophiuchus.

The confidence to face him disappeared and didn't even leave a trace. I could search for hours but it was like it was never there, if he knew me he knew Taurus. I mean he knew Gemini.

"Remember Owen. Well here I am."

I need to leave and quick.

Done with him and this situation, I started to unite the thick rope while be ranted away.

"I'll let you go and you can take my word. You have to promise though that you will not dare try to control me or any other person in this room, I'm Ophiuchius, another Zodiac with these abilities."

I nodded quickly, and in a jiffy I was untied.

Numerous men stared back at me while I forced my sore legs to stand me up. Ophiuchus himself was smiling at me, I would have never thought the man was even evil.

His black hair was slicked back, blue eyes were focused on me and only me, his chiseled jaw had thightened and I had to admit his cheekbones were a catch to the eye since they stood out so much. Dimples laid right next to his cheeky smile.

Around his twenties I would assume since he still looked young, his arms though were muscular and buffed against his suit.

Had I made the right choice?

Should I keep my promise?

If I were to hypnotize him, the others would surely notice of he starts acting strange. They were all tall, muscular and intimdating enough for me to decide against it. I should hear him out, I mean should I?

But if I didn't this would go wrong and I'd be done unless I shield myself but then again what if what he has to say will benefit me?

"Thank yo-"

"How old are you?"

"Huh?"

"You look older than seventeen."

"I'm twenty one and I'll explain once you just quiet down. I am the oldest Zodiac, not that our constellations never existed but it was recently discovered by astronomers. Of course I was always noticed but never considered a Zodiac because that would just change the dates of the horoscopes, I don't have an element, an opposite and that unevens the balance of the twelve of you."

"Wha-"

"Look. I am not considered significant to the people and neither are other constellations unless you're some star lover and whatever. As you may have been told, our ancestors always lived in outer space and there will be more to come. That my love, is a load of crap."

He inched closer, reaching out his hand which I hesitantly took. Helping me up, he walked me over to the couch now empty for me.

"I noticed your disturbance...."

"Thank you..." Taking a seat, he cocked an eyebrow at me before going on.

"The queen must have poisoned you with her lies. She's not the Universe, the real queen, and I believe with your help we can make this right."

"Are you crazy?"

Crossing his arms in front of me, he tossed himself beside me to give me a disapproving look.

"I knew you guys would return but my patience was cutting short. You are not the eleventh generation or whatever number, you're the second and I'm the first Ophiuchus. That dumb book you took and found was set there on purpose, she believed that you guys would never reconnect once you were gone but instead you did and stronger than she had expected."

"Was there an incident before us?"

"No just fear. Persues is the new quee-"

"The demon star."

"Yes, here let me explain. There is a kingdom above this world no one is aware of but us. Right under the noses of those humans, billions of constellations would transform to human and just roam around Earth because it is better, improved and easier than space. Universe believed in freedom and she let this happen, as an outcast, Persues was always ignored and misjudged. It is a rule everyone knows by heart that whoever can overthrow the queen or king by battling each other, is worthy of that title."

My eyes wandered to the others, were they involved? They had to be. The more he spoke I found myself more drawn and intrigued to the topic. This was a whole another story I was not told.

"Everyone loved Universe and she just wasn't defeated. Horoscopes had been invented more than two thousand years ago and so only a thousand years ago, Universe had created a visual form or what we represent. But they were careless, and too powerful and became more powerful when their significance grew. Universe thought they were warriors and gave them abilities...."

"....know just the twelve of you remember. They were the original, and were always going to be the only ones. But once they were allowed in Earth and became too attached to their human self. They were capable of something others weren't capable of...."

"Feelings?"

"How'd you know?"

"Because that's what pulls a person back right, they wouldn't be so attached to Earth if they were not capable of caring."

He nodded at my thinking, it made me feel guilty for even considering to trust him. Maybe I could but I could never be too sure. He was one of us, why wouldn't he have harmed me by now?

"Yes and emotions can be powerful enough to play with one's mind but that's because we,were given personalities and ways of thinking, living and believing. Now let me tell you the story, the air signs had enough self control to stay aloof, earth signs were smart enough to stay away, fire signs that they were worth more than humans so they stayed away and water signs being considered most sensitive....."

"Cancer?"

"No."

A teasing grin settled on his face.

"Pisces?"

"Scorpio."

"Really!?"

"Yes, Pisces and Cancer were too loyal to the rules but Scorpio's curiosity and rebellious nature took over. Sh-"

"She!?"

"Yes she. Before you guys, the Zodiacs were different genders. Air and fire are masculine signs while the rest are feminine but Universe mixed it up this time. She fell in love with a human and exposed her true self to him, despite swearing to never tell a soul they had to wipe out his memory but Scorpio used her powers against a queen. You can't do that....."

"Anyways the boy's mind was wiped out, Scorpio was forgiven and Persues felt that Universe was too irresponsible hut she was not strong enough. First though, I was created in discreet by copying exact things Universe did. I wasn't what she expected, I was an infant and what could I do, not much so instead she took the abilities I had."

"How?"

"Those scars you guys have are active and that's how Persues will always know when you're dead or alive. She didn't tell you but you can deactivate it by using the necklace. Mine was stolen so I have no powers."

"She took them and with that she defeated Universe."

"Well yes but Universe was weak because of her pregnancy. It tired her out."

"No one noticed her belly." Multiple laughs erupted in the room when I said this.

"Love that's not how we work, we must use our own strength and powers to make one of us. Technically we pass our abilities to the next generation, they become everything we were. Universe though is unlimited, she will never lose everything but she gave in too much for that child. She needed rest but she couldn't refuse to fight because that would make her a coward."

The other men nodded at everything he said, this was far more interesting than the other story I was bored with.

"Once she became queen, she took down the freedom to visit earth, turn to human and she was ready to immediately get rid of the Zodiacs. They were stronger than her and twelve against one is an easy match. Everything Pisces dreamed of is a lie, they knew she would recover so Libra replaced her memories...."

"Fast forward the Zodiacs had children and there can't be two of the same constellations except Gemini or Pisces because twins and two fish but whatever."

"So let's say the second I pass away, a new me is born."

"Yes that's how it works. They passed away and you were born. You didn't have parents when you were born, you never meet your parents. Pisces only had a hallucination to make you think otherwise."

"Then how did Libra control Pisces' memories...."

"Persues used your ability and fortunately gave it back since they were weak which is strange since they are usually already there when you are born. Persues knowing I had no powers, you were weak, she sent us away to random locations in hope of having us separated for years to come and she was lucky. She only sent you back here so I could kill you."

My heart skipped a beat at the last sentence and he must have noticed my concerned expression because he muttered a couple of sorries.

"I don't want to. I just want justice and my abilities back. Universe's daughter is out there and she's the true queen not some Persues. I have grown alone in an orphanage 'till I was adopted at seventeen then left alone again when they were gone because life screws everyone up, it took me everything to be who I am today and now I just need a bigger team."

I was sensing good vibes from this dude, it was the kind gestures and friendly smile I was receiving but still, it didn't look fake. Maybe it was time to abort the mission for more important things.

This chapter was too long but I needed everything to be understood before getting straight into action. So the reproduction thing, do you understand? Once a space creature or whatever, for example Aries, has a child. She is deactivating her powers to create a new her, you can not die if you do not have a child.

Or not passing away in general if the force is strong enough but you'll see later on ;)
