Christmas Morning

T'was the morning of Christmas. All were asleep in their beds, dreaming of eating and reading, except one small girl will brown horn-rimmed glasses and short brown hair. She sat awake on the couch waiting for jolly saint Nick to pay her a visit. Did I forget to mention it's two in the morning?

Then there was a stir in the hall and the short teenage girl swiftly turned to see the intruder making the movement. But alas it was only her good friend Taurus trying to steal the cookies who also promptly shouted at her, "Go the heck to sleep Virgo." Before departing back to his room. The young girl never did go to her room though, she ended up falling asleep on the couch.

Later Christmas Morning

"Virgo wake up." Capricorn said nudging Virgo awake. She had passed out late at night on the couch waiting for Santa to come. She quickly looked around the living room and saw under the only Christmas tree the zodiac signs had a bunch of presents.

"YIPEE!" Virgo yelled running straight towards the presents, "Ever since I heard the legend of Santa I have always questioned his existence. I mean, how does one man make over seven billion toys in a single year? I've done the math and the numbers aren't good. And yet every year Santa manages to deliver what he promises, it's so obscure." Virgo was saying as she was being held back by Capricorn as she tried to race to the gifts.

Taurus had came out of his room, looking surprisingly happy and ready for the day, unlike usually. He ran to where the cookies were and was disappointed to find they had disappeared. "Capricorn why did you e-" Taurus started saying but was cut off by Capricorn as she motioned to Virgo who was shaking each present carefully.

"Oh come on! She's basically an adult! She should know!" Taurus argued. Capricorn only glared at him. He sighed and sat on the couch and turned on the TV.

"I have the perfect movie!" Virgo said randomly and stole the remote from Taurus. She turned on A Christmas Story which played the entire day.

All of a sudden the door to the earth dorm opened and the fire signs burst in. "PRESENTS!!" They all yelled running to the tree.

They were shortly followed by the air signs. The air signs were all in festive pajamas and all looked only half awake. "Hooray! Christmas!" Libra cheered as she went over to the coffee maker and grabbed a cup of coffee.

"Ooh, coffee!" Aquarius said, seeming to have woken up more. She tried to grab a cup of coffee but was held back by Gemini and was handed Nutella instead. She happily obliged to eat the Nutella instead.

Several minutes had passed and yet the water signs were no where to be seen. "I wanna open presents now!" Aries yelled impatiently.

"Just wait. I'm sure they have a good reason to be late." Virgo said slowly becoming more serious.

"Hey Sagittarius wanna go outside?" Aqaurius asked her friend.

"Why?"

"In case my tongue gets stuck to the metal pole out there." She replied with a sheepish smile. Sagittarius shrugged and got up with her friend.

Before they could leave however, the water signs came rushing in. "Sorry we're late! Scorpio forgot to do his Christmas shopping and none of the stores were open except seven eleven." Cancer said taking off her winter stuff.

Pisces and Scorpio had came in after Cancer holding several poorly wrapped presents.

"Can we open the presents, can we!!!" Leo asked jumping up and down excitedly.

"Yeah, but first who's going to play Santa?" Virgo asked looking around the room. Libra had raised her hand up immediately. Virgo picked Libra and she ran over to the tree.

"Alright the first present goes to... Scorpio! From, Pisces!" Libra handed Scorpio the gift.

Scorpio opened it and pulled out a pair of black headphones. They looked really expensive too. "Thanks." Scorpio said setting then aside.

"Next up is Virgo! Also from Pisces. Wow you're quite the gift giver aren't you." Libra said handing Virgo the gift.

Virgo unwrapped it and pulled out a complete book series of Harry Potter. "I knew you liked the series so I got some books made for you that have special hard covers and your name engraved in it!" Pisces said happily. Virgo was very pleased at this gift.

The gift giving went on, with Aquarius receiving nine jars of Nutella, a shirt, and a telescope. Taurus receiving a bunch of food and a gaming laptop. Libra got a phone, and a gift card. Scorpio got the headphones and an iTunes gift card with a Christmas card on it. Aries got several video games, and even a McDonald's gift card, who knew those existed? Pisces got a paint kit, oven mitts, and a cook book. Sagittarius received a thirty day free trial on Netflix, and new shoes. Virgo got the book series, several more books, and also a Barnes and Nobles gift card. Capricorn got some headphones, a black sweater, and also poorly made card that read 'sorry but I'm broke-Love, Taurus'. Cancer had received a pink fluffy unicorn, a camera, and several shirts. Gemini had received several shirts, a card and also a movie set.

There was one last present, and one person who had received no presents. "Alright last one, to Leo, from... I have no clue. This hand writing is atrocious!" Libra said throwing Leo the box. Leo tried to make out the name, but couldn't. No one could.

"Oh well I'll just open it." Leo said tearing away at the paper covering the box. Inside was a tiny jar of Nutella, and also and a board to hang photos up. "This gift looks really cool! I think the picture board was even hand made!" Leo exclaimed happily.

"Awesome now let's get some hot cocoa!" Aries shouted ignoring Leo and grabbing a mug.

Pisces made hot chocolate for everyone and they sat down to watch Elf.

After the Movie

"That was a nice movie!" Pisces said smiling. The signs agreed with him.

"So, what do we do now?" Aquarius asked.

"You didn't know there was a party being hosted by some of the third years? They invited everyone in the school." Libra said, suggesting they attend the party.

"Then let's go there!" Sagittarius said. The rest of the signs agreed and got geared up to head for the party.

At the Party

The zodiacs had finally made it to the Christmas party. It was being held at one of the third year dorms, and there were a lot of people.

"WISH YIU MERRY CHRISTMAS, WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Libra shouted with Cancer and Sagittarius as they were singing on top of a coffee table.

"You're gonna break your the table guys!" Virgo yelled warningly. At least Virgo had Christmas clothes on.

Scorpio was over at a snack table with Taurus and Capricorn. Although Capricorn and Taurus were talking amongst themselves excluding Scorpio.

"Hey Scorpio! Didn't know you'd be here at this party!" Said a familiar voice. Scorpio turned around and saw his childhood friend Pluto walking up to him.

"Yeah. The other zodiacs dragged me here." Scorpio said.

"Cool. I'm older than all the planets, plus I'm technically not even a planet, so we got separated when I came here in my first year. First year seems so long ago." Pluto said as she grabbed several snacks.

"First year is crazy for me. There's a lot to process."

"Lemme guess, you've processed it all alone in the dark of your room?" Pluto said with knowing smile.

"You know me well." And right after Scorpio had finished saying that someone from behind had come up to Scorpio and attempted to hug him.

Scorpio had dashed skillfully out of the way leaving the giver in a confused state.

"Jupiter!" Scorpio said still surprised.

"Aww! Scorpy, why did you run away from my hug!?" Jupiter asked as she tried hug Scorpios arms.

"My name is Scorpio and it's because I don't like hugs!" Scorpio said irritated.

"Fine then I won't give you a Christmas present!" Jupiter said pouting while holding up a nicely wrapped gift.

"Good because I don't want it." Scorpio said coldly and turned to back to look at Pluto. Pluto was giving Scorpio a disapproving look.

"Ughhhhhhhhh, fine! I'll take the gift." Scorpio said reluctantly grabbing the gift from Jupiter.

"Open it!" Jupiter said bouncing up and down excitedly. Scorpio opened the box and pulled a brown teddy bear and two tickets to a movie.

"No." Was Scorpios reaction. Jupiter looked like she was about to cry. Pluto smacked Scorpio across the back of his head.

"Ouch. Fine, but only if someone else comes too. I don't wanna be alone with this weirdo." Scorpio said giving one of the movie tickets to Jupiter.

"Okay fine." Jupiter said agreeing to the plan.

"I'll go. I can buy my own ticket too, lemme see the date and movie." Pluto said looking at the ticket.

"Good, now I'm going somewhere else." Scorpio said unhappily walking away.

Leo had found Phecda and was happily dancing around with her in the living room. Aquarius was watching as she snacked on a jar of nutella from the corner of the room, since she doesn't like large crowds.

Finally after several hours the party had ended and everyone had started heading home.

"Hey guys it's only six right?" Gemini asked.

Virgo looked at her watch and confirmed that Gemini was correct. "Hey there's a parade going on right now then! It started at five thirty though, but still. Let's go!" Gemini said excitedly. All the other signs agreed to go.

At the Parade

"IT'S SANTA!!!" Virgo shouted looking at the one float. Santa was sitting on top of it waving.

"SANTA PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!" Virgo screamed trying to get pass the crowd.

"Virgo calm down, Santa's probably really busy." Pisces said putting his hand on her shoulder.

"That doesn't mean I can't try." Virgo said deepening her voice and glaring at Pisces, "Now follow me. We're chasing that float." And Pisces was off being dragged by Virgo.

It was already dark outside, but the streets were all lit up and bustling with people at the Christmas festival. There were stands open selling things like toys and fried dough.

The signs had split up and were all buying things. They had agreed on meeting at the dorms at nine.

"Look at this cute snow globe!" Libra said holding up a small snow globe.

"Let's buy it!" Cancer said holding up her wallet.

"How much money do you guys have!?" Taurus asked. He had tagged along with Capricorn, Libra and Cancer.

"Infinite amount!" Libra said with a sly smile. Taurus had no clue what that meant.

They moved onto other stalls, Taurus complaining the whole way through.

"That looks like a nice star gazing hill." Cancer said pointing at a hill they passed.

Up on that hill was Aquarius. She was staring up into the stars lost in her thoughts.

Then from behind someone was approaching her. "Hey Aquarius! Looking at the stars?" Said the person.

"Eek! Oh it's just you Leo. Yeah, currently we're in the sun of Capricorn, with her constellation showing. Have you ever wondered what it's like up there, in the stars?" Aquarius asked, her breath showing in the coldness.

"I've never really put any thought into it." Leo said standing next to Aquarius, looking into the sky.

Aquarius started to point out stars and what constellations they made along with a few planets.

"Wow, you are really passionate about astronomy!" Leo said amazed at her knowledge.

"Yeah. I love looking at the sky! It's something I've done since I was a child." She said. The air felt almost a little warmer.

Then they heard lots of screaming and looked done the hill at the festival.

All of the lights had turned off and it was completely dark. People were running around wildly. Kids were crying, and stands being knocked over.

"Leo you stay here! Take my watch and if I don't get back by nine try to find me." Aquarius said handing Leo her watch, the air returning to a bitter coldness. Aquarius ran off into the crowd, leaving Leo behind on top of the hill.

She had ran to the center of the crowd.

"Aquarius!" Someone called. It was Sagittarius.

"Sagi what happened?" Aquarius asked.

"I don't know but we need to find the others!" Sagittarius said and they ran off together.

They had reached the other end of the crowd and saw Cancer with Scorpio, Jupiter, Libra, and another older looking girl.

The weirdest thing about this scene was that Cancer was yelling at Jupiter and the older looking girl, although Aquarius and Sagittarius couldn't make out what was being said.

Scorpio came up to Cancer and put his hand on her shoulder in an attempt to stop her. She looked at him and for a moment looked as she was going to collapse crying, but she shook his hand off and angrily walked away. The lights turned on with that so did a speaker.

Someone was making an announcement. "Due to the unexpected power out we would like to end the festival short. Sorry for the inconveniences and we hope you have a happy holiday."

All the rest of the Zodiac signs had met up with the others in the large, but thinning, crowd.

"What happened? Is everyone okay?" Pisces asked worriedly.

"Yeah, let's just get back to the dorms." Scorpio said leading the group in the direction of home.

No one spoke during that time. They reached the dorms finally and  called it a night until Aquarius remembered something.

"What time is it?" She asked.

"Ten to nine." Virgo replied.

"Oh crap. I'll be back!" She said running off.

She had ran all the way to the hill and found Leo sitting in the snow unhappily.

He looked up and saw Aquarius. "Hey! Your back! So what happened?" He asked smiling.

Aquarius filled him in on the events until they reached the dorms. They called it a day and went inside their own separate dorms.

And that was the zodiacs very first magical Christmas together.

Hooray I got it all done on time! I'm currently writing this on Christmas Eve for me and I know for some of you it will already be past Christmas day but I'm going by my time! I'm really happy too, since I got to 100 followers just a few days before Christmas! That's epic! Especially since I made this account around July and in case you didn't know this is my second account. I didn't just join and become awesome right away. I'm making a special chapter to celebrate 100 followers though.
