SONG: Someone To You by BANNERS

Over the past four days the only thing that Matthew Sturniolo could think about was his lips pressed against Sofia's, the moment that the two had shared was stuck on his mind like glue. He hadn't told anyone about the kiss, so when his brothers pissed him off, he acted out and stormed upstairs to his room.

The brunette headed boy was quite annoyed, Sofia hadn't texted him in four days, not a call, not a text, not even a reply on his brother's post. It was like she had been completely icing them out. He understood that it was awkward between the two now, but he figured they could've talked it out, but he also figured that she might've been too drunk to even remember.

Matt just wanted to talk to her about it or anything really. He just missed their conversations and he had been head over heels since that night he fell for her, hoping she felt the same even though she had a boyfriend.

The two were laid up in her parents' bedroom. Sofia had just found her mother's letters and Matt had just finished reading one while Sofia laid her head on his shoulder seeking some type of comfort as she held back her tears. Glancing down at her, Matt placed his hand on her back, rubbing in a circular motion.

Finishing reading the letter Matt went to speak but Sofia stopped him, "I already know what you're going to say. So, can we just sit...? Relax?" huffing out a breath Matt responded with a nod, "Yeah, we can do that,"

He watched as Sofia laid back, copying her actions Matt stared up at the ceiling in silence, feeling Sofia turn over to face him, he felt her eyes lingering on him, causing him to turn over.ย

His bright blue eyes staring deep into her dark brown ones, admiring her every feature, personality and psychically wise, her deep brown eye, her beautiful freckles, her short brown luscious hair, her smile, her laugh, the way she playfully rolled her eyes at her friend's stupid jokes.

The way she took care of her friends as if they were her children, the way she cares for her family, the way she adored animals and her friends/family, the way she interacted with her fans, the way she didn't care about what anyone thought.

But one of the many things that he loved about her was the fact that she always did what she needed to do for others before herself, she always put Brooke, Khai, Nate, Mason, and Matt along with his brothers first.ย

No matter what.

It didn't matter if she got hurt in the process, sheย didn't care if it hurt her in any type of way, she'd always put them first. But right now, he was hoping that she'd put her family aside and focus on herself, take care of herself, before it was too late.

Because right now that was all she needed, to think and care about herself before caring about others.ย

The sound of the doorbell ringing startled Matt out of his thoughts, clearing her throat Sofia sat up making her way downstairs, meanwhile Matt stood as he watched her go. His thoughts made their way back onto his mind.

He listed everything he loved about Sofia and slowly realized that Chris was in fact right, he was head over heels in love with Sofia, it just took him a little longer to realize, not to mention the fact that she had a boyfriend.

One who looked like he'd be sticking around for quite some time.

โ•ฐโ€ขโ˜…โ˜… ------------------ โ˜…โ˜…โ€ขโ•ฏ

Thinking back to that day, Matt had realized that maybe Mason wouldn't around for as long as he thought. From what Matt knew about Sofia, he knew that she couldn't lie and or keep a secret from Mason about something so big.ย

But also, didn't know if she remembered, but he did and it might've just been him, but that kiss meant a lot more to him than he thought it would. Kisses were always a big deal to him, but their kiss was different, it meant everything to him, and he was just wondering if she felt the same.

Huffing out a breath as Matt thought about their kiss, Chris stormed into his room with Nick following behind, "Why are you so gloomy?" Chris wondered, "What the fuck are you talking about?" Matt raised his eyebrows with an attitude already annoyed.

"There ya go. Having an attitude for nothing," Chris pointed out as the youngest and oldest sat on his bed, "What's wrong?" Nick questioned, "Nothing's wrong," Matt shrugged the two off returning to his phone, snatching his phone out of his hands, Chris raised his eyebrows.

"Give me back my phone," reaching out for his phone, Chris backed away, "Tells us!" Nick begged, "I'm bored, just give me something!" Nick added with a groan, huffing out a breath Matt did, "Fine."

"... I kissed Sofia." Matt nonchalantly but hesitantly told the two causing their eyes to widen in complete and utter shock, "What?!" the two brothers asked in exasperation, mouths dropping with an incredulous expression written all over their faces.

"Actually, she kissed me, but I kissed her back and as much as I hate to say, Chris. You were right and so was Brooke." Matt nervously rambled, "Again what!?!" Nick asked leaving his mouth wide open in shock, "When the fuck was this?" Nick asked as Chris yapped about the fact that he was right.

"My bro's finally getting a girlfriend!" Chris exclaimed with joy for his older brother, "Shut the fuck up, she has a boyfriend still, dumbass," Matt corrected Chris with an annoyed tone, "Yeah and now that you guys kissed, she'll break up with Mason." Chris deadpanned.

"Four days ago," Matt replied answering Nick's previous question ignoring and talking over Chris, "Chris, let the man speak! I need to know what fucking happened!!" Nick exclaimed with anger in his tone towards Chris which immediately shut him up, Nick then asked, "What happened? where did it happen? how do it happen? fucking tell me something!"

Matt sighed and then started explaining how his night was going which they did not care about before he received a text from Sofia asking to come pick her up with multiple miss spellings, being concerned Matt rushed to Sofia's location to pick her up, getting interrupted by his brothers, "Get to the point already!" "Kid, hurry the fuck up!" Nick and Chris exclaimed.

Continuing his story with an eye roll, Matt explained the rest of his night, from punching some random guy in the face, to taking Sofia home and her pulling him in for a kiss in the car and him kissing back.

"So how was the kiss? Was it just a small peck on the lips?" Nick wondered, "I'm not-" gasping, cutting off Matt, Nick spoke in question, "Did you guys have a full on make out session?" smirking to himself with a nod, "Ohh, you guys did,"ย

"No, we didn't. I pulled away," Matt stated with a disappointed sigh, in the moment part of him wanted to pull away because he knew it was wrong but the other part of him wanted to kiss her again, and again until he couldn't anymore.

He remembered the feeling of her soft lips against his and he missed it. More than anything. And he wished he could talk to her about it, but he was certain that she didn't remember their kiss or anything that happened that night.

"Are fucking stupid!?!" "Why would you pull away?!" Nick and Chris questioned their brother with incredulous tone's, "Because it was wrong. Sofia has a boyfriend, just in case you forgot," Matt reminded the two, the boys nodded knowing it was true.

"But still, that means you have a chance," Chris told his older brother with an excited tone, "If she even remembers that night," Matt muttered, "What?" Chris asked with a shout, "What do you mean 'if she remembers'?" Nick questioned with raised eyebrows.

"She was drunk, she probably doesn't remember the whole night,"ย

"Well, whatever I knew this was gonna happen," Chris smiled to himself, "No shit it was so obvious," Nick added with a chuckle, rolling his eyes in annoyance, Matt continued to think about Sofia and their kiss.

He desperately wanted to text Sofia and just talk about what happened, he wanted to know how she felt about him, and he wanted to tell her how he felt. "Did you guys talk about it?" Chris asked, "No, no we didn't. And I don't even know if she remembers," with a disappointed tone, Matt breathed out a sigh.

"Well fucking call her!" Nic exclaimed, "I can't just call her and ask her-" interrupting Matt, Nick continued, "Yes the fuck you can. Just text her." shaking his head in response, "I can't. What if she doesn't even remember? Then I'll just sound like an idiot." Matt sighed as he over thought about every little thing that could go wrong.

Snatching Matt's phone, Nick threw it to Chris, who ran out and unlocked his phone with face ID, that obviously work. Shooting up from his bed, Matt ran after his brothers who shouted, "If you don't do it we will!" Nick locked himself along with Chris in Matt's bathroom as they began to text Sofia.

"If you give me my phone, I'll do it myself!" Matt shouted pounding on his bathroom door, "Don't send that dumbass, you didn't spell anything right." Nick told Chris who rolled his eyes deleting his text, from the other side of the door.

With a sigh Nick opened the door and handed his younger brother his phone, who immediately snatched it out of his hand, looking over his text messages with Sofia. Luckily his idiot brothers didn't send anything, sighing in relief as he made his way back to his room trying to figure out what to type.ย

Plopping down on his bed, Matt breathed out a sigh as he typed out a text before deleting it, he didn't want to be to forward and just ask her, but he also didn't want too just come out and ask her if she remembered their kiss.

"Just text her!" Nick told his younger brother with an annoyed tone as he sighed, "It can't be that hard." Chris deadpanned, "C'mon dude, you got this! just text her." Chris added trying to hype up his brother, "What are you waiting for?" Nick questioned, Matt nodded and just mindlessly typed as he waited for a response.

It wasn't anything big, but he just wanted her to reply, and he hoped she remembered, he just wanted to be someone to her. Someone a lot more than friends.

"There." Matt announced, indicating that he had texted Sofia, "And now we wait." Nick sighed out as he pulled his phone out and mindlessly scrolled through TikTok.ย

Coming out to just say it, Matt spoke, "I know it sounds silly or stupid but I-I just wanna be someone... to her." sighing to himself as he caught his brother's attention, Nick turned his phone off, glancing up at his brother, "Someone who's more than a friend?" Nick questions tilting his head to the side with a smirk.

"Yeah, something like that," Matt replied with a nod as his phone dinged, indicating that he had received a text, from who he hoped was Sofia. Picking up his phone that laid by his side, Matt turned it on to see that Sofia had in fact texted him back causing him to smile. "Is it her?" Nick and Chris questioned, with hopeful tones.ย

Matt nodded in response and began typing. Matt thought to himself as he texted her, I just want to be somebody to Sofia. Someone special to her, hoping that she someday felt the same.ย

(if you see italics it's because it's them talking why Matt's texting Sofia)

Matty B๐Ÿ’™ - Matt

Sofia the First๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป - Sofia

Matty B๐Ÿ’™
hey

Sofia the First๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป
hi

"You guys are so dry," Nick told his brother who flipped him off in annoyance as he began to type, not knowing what to say. It was true though, Sofia and Matt were always dry texters, they usually had good conversations in person, never over text, and considering the fact that they mostly called each other, they barely texted, when they did it was just a simple 'hey.' 'hi' 'what are you doing?' 'nothing much' 'you?' 'same' 'wanna call?' and then they'd facetime.

Mattyย B๐Ÿ’™
how've you been?

Sofia theย First๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป
I've been okay
wbu?

Matty B๐Ÿ’™
doing good
uh, do you remember anything from that party?

โ•ฐโ€ขโ˜…โ˜… ------------------ โ˜…โ˜…โ€ขโ•ฏ

Matt typed out the question, hoping she responded with a 'yeah, I've actually been wanting to talk to you about that night,' but she didn't instead she responded with 'no why?' sighing to himself Matt replied with 'no reason just asking gtg text you later ig'

"Well...?" Nick and Chris simultaneously questioned, trailing off, "She said she doesn't remember anything," Matt shrugged trying his best not to sound as disappointed as he felt inside. Feeling bad for their brother, the two suggested doing something, ordering food, watching a movie, but Matt denied.

He just wanted some time to think for himself. He didn't know how to feel, other than hurt? yeah hurt. He felt hurt by her, in a way, he had hoped that she remembered for the past four days, but now that he knew she didn't, he felt like the kiss never happened, like it was a dream.ย

Yeah, he felt like it was a pretty amazing dream, but one that he only knew about. One that he'd never share. With anyone, minus his brothers, but especially not Sofia.

Or so he thought...
