Five, you, Allison, and Diego were sitting in Diego's car as he parked it. You and the others were out to find Harold Jenkins and Diego suggested finding a record of the dude on the police station. You were sitting at the back with Allison, your head resting on her shoulder while Five was in the passenger's seat. You weren't that close to her but you're working on it and planning to be close to all of your siblings after all of these shenanigans are finally done.

"I know this Jenkins dude has to have a record," Diego stated. "We gotta get our hands on this file."

"And your plan is to what? Waltz in there and just ask for it?" Allison asked.

"I would love to see him waltzing inside there." You whispered with a giggle cracking a smile from Allison and even Five.

Diego slightly glared at you. "I know the station like the back of my hand, sis. I've spent a lot of time inside. And you won't see me waltzing, baby sis. Never in your life would you see me dancing."

"Getting in jail or just visiting someone?" You asked, lifting your head up with a snicker. "And hey, Captain Serious, I've seen you danced when we were kids "

"Whatever and shut up. Here's the plan."

"Plan?" Five softly asked. "I'm just gonna blink in and get the file."

"No, that's not..."

"That's actually easier." You yawned, stretching your arms out.

"Yes, it's easier but Five doesn't know the ins and outs of this place, okay?"

"I literally just did this yesterday." Five told Diego who asked a small what on him. Five sighed. "My yesterday, not your yesterday."

"Time travel sucks." You muttered to Allison. "It causes us to be confused and left wondering what the hell he's talking about."

Allison rolled her eyes with a smile. "You're totally right."

"It'll take me two seconds. Why don't I just go?" Five asked, wanting to get this done but in a soft voice. You raised an eyebrow at him. He would literally scream at Diego right now and now he's going a bit soft.

"Listen to me. You are not going in there. I made a call. That's what a leader does. He leads."

"Thought Luther's the leader." You teased earning a proud smirk from Five.

"Shut up, (Y/n)." Diego got outside the car, leaving you, Allison, and Five. You just rolled your eyes and got outside the car. "Hey, Eight. Where are you going?" Five asked.

"I need some fresh air, well not really fresh but a bit polluted air." You looked at Five, leaning on the door of the driver's seat. "I can see that you need some too."

Five got outside the car with Allison who said that she's going to call Vanya. Just in her luck, there was a nearby payphone so Allison started calling Vanya while you were leaning against the stoplight post and Five leaning on a wall with his arms crossed.

Your attention was focused on Five who was waiting patiently and looking down on the ground. You were about to talk to him but as soon as Allison ended the call and her message for Vanya, Diego arrives with the file. Five was about to take the file but Diego leaned it away from me. "You're welcome."

Allison took the file, too done with the boys' bullshit, and opened it. You leaned on Allison's shoulder, looking at the file too. Allison froze when she saw a picture of a man whom she recognized quickly. "Holy shit."

"What?" You and Diego asked.

"Harold Jenkins is Leonard Peabody." Allison showed the picture to the boys to see.

"Who's Leonard Peabody?" You asked, being clueless about who the man is.

"Vanya's boyfriend."

Your eyes widened and your mouth was hung open. "VANYA HAS A BOYFRIEND?!" Five closed your mouth and shushed you. "We'll tell everything in the car. Come on let's go."

You and your siblings got inside the car, you were still shocked that Vanya has a boyfriend. She didn't tell you nor did she ever mentioned it. Maybe because you two had been busy already and been apart for too long. You felt bad for not knowing this. You could've stopped Vanya from falling for the guy who could end the world.

"You could've seen him, (Y/n)," Allison said. "But you went upstairs as soon as Vanya and Leonard arrived."

"I'm an idiot." You sighed, leaning your head on the window. "How am I so clueless and oblivious? God, I hate myself." Five glanced at you before looking down on his hands and softly gulping. Diego parked his car and finally arrived at Leonard Peabody's house.

You and the others got out of the car, Allison and Diego are leading the way while you and Five stayed behind. "Be careful, okay? We don't know what Peabody's capable of."

Noticing how Five limps, you walked near him as Diego and Allison talked in the background. "You know... I've been wondering why you're limping. I thought that's how you just walk but I've seen you walk before. What's wrong?"

"I fell and hit myself on the table, remember? It's nothing." Five said as he tried to walk normally and barely succeeding.

"Most serial killers and mass murders don't seem dangerous at first sight and looked kinda scrawny." You heard Allison explaining to Diego then pointed at Five. "I mean, look at him."

Five glanced at her. "Thanks." He said as he took it as a compliment.

"Good point," Diego stated. "So what's this guy want with Vanya?"

"Oh God, I hope he didn't hurt her." You whispered under your breath.

Five patted your back before following Diego. "We don't know yet. How about we ask him after we kill him?" You noticed Allison missing so you looked everywhere around the house to see her sneaking her way in through an open window. You chuckled and followed her, leaving the two boys.

You and Allison were inside and so was Five who used his spatial jump to get in. You and the two made your way to the front door when you heard a window breaking. You and Allison looked down to see Diego laying on the ground, groaning in pain.

You slightly laughed as you reached out your hand for him to grab. "Subtle." Allison simply said. Five opened the front door to find it unlocked. "You know, the door was unlocked."

Allison cracked into a smile on Diego's stupidity as Diego took your hand and you helped him stood up. "The owner of this house will go nuts to see his window broken." You wheezed into laughter earning a light slap on the back of your head from Diego.

"Shut up, (Y/n). My way works just fine." He threw a shard of glass away and started walking away. "Spread out. Yell if you, uh... you know, you're in trouble."

You giggled again, holding on Five's shoulder for support. "I can't fucking breathe. Our brother's an idiot."

"Inspiring leadership." Five sarcastically said.

"One of the greats." Allison added, giggling a bit.

You and your siblings separated inside the house to find anything useful or the guy's plan to end the world. You suddenly heard Allison's voice from upstairs. "Guys, you need to see this."

You, Diego, and Five ran upstairs to find Allison. You saw her head peeking out from the attic causing you to giggle. "Isn't that adorable? Just like when we were kids."

Allison rolled her eyes. "Come on. There's something you guys should see."

Diego helped you to enter the attic while Five effortlessly spatial jumped but he helped you get in the attic. Once Diego is also inside, you all looked around. Pictures of you and your siblings were scattered all over, some are even crossed out, cut off, and burnt heads of the miniatures.

"All our faces are burnt off."

"Well, that's not creepy. This guy's got some serious issues."

"Shit." You and Five cursed out softly. Suddenly, you noticed Five gasping softly, his body losing balance a bit. He looked down at his side, panicking for a bit. He didn't realize he was leaning against you and you were supporting him if he ever falls. Just to your surprise, he collapsed on the ground, bringing you down since he was leaning against you.

You sat up and shook Five. "Five? Five!" Five groaned in pain as Allison and Diego knelt down to see what was going on with him. You noticed blood on his shirt. 'Oh God, there's blood.' You lifted his vest and shirt up to see a shrapnel wound on his side of the stomach. "You idiot, why didn't you say anything?!"

"You have to keep going." Five softly said, almost passing out. "So... close." He sighed softly before completely going unconscious.

"Five?" Allison asked. "Five!" Allison tapped Five's cheek, trying to wake him up.

Diego tapped your shoulder. "We have to go. Let's bring him back to the house."

You entered the car while Allison and Diego brought the unconscious Five to the backseat with you. They laid him down and then went to their seats. Diego started driving, heading back to the Academy. You laid Five's head on your lap, brushing his hair softly. 'Don't you dare die on me, Five.' You leaned down, leaning your forehead against his, pleading. 'Don't take him away from me. I can't lose him. Not again. Please...'

Allison turned to you from the passenger's seat and reached out for your hand, holding it. "He's gonna be fine, (Y/n). Don't worry."

"Hey, baby sis." You looked up to see Klaus smiling widely. "Want some chips?"

You shook your head as Klaus sat down beside you. "No, not really. And don't call me that. I'm just as old as you guys are."

"Well, there's a reason why dad named you Number Eight. And the fact that you came to the Academy a little bit late. Soooo, that means I can call you my baby sister! You're our baby sister."

You chuckled before dipping your hand on his bag of chips, grabbing one, and ate it. "Yeah, I suppose you can call me your baby sister."

"Where's Five?"

"With Vanya. How about Ben?"

"Being a bookworm in the living room. And don't even ask me where Diego, Allison, and Luther are."

"Well, we all know Diego's probably in his room being moody or with mom while Allison is with Luther hanging out."

"Can you imagine them getting married?" Klaus suddenly asked. "Allison's name won't change, both have the same father and surnames"

You started laughing. "People will think it's kind of incest."

Klaus burst into laughter. "I know! And they'll think it's weird!"

You both laughed but immediately hushed yourselves, trying avoiding a scold from Reginald. You sighed. "Well, I won't marry any of you guys."

Klaus frowned. "Why not?"

"Because it's weird and you guys are my siblings."

"Well not by blood."

"Still weird."

Klaus bit his cheek, trying to think of something. "How about Ben? You're not gonna marry him?"

"Ben's more like a brother to me, Klaus. Just like you, Luther, and Diego."

"Well then, how about Five?"

"What about him?"

"You're not gonna marry him?"

You looked away from Klaus when you saw Five talking to Vanya as they passed by. Vanya giggled as Five smirked, feeling accomplished that he just made her laugh. You looked down, shrugging. "Well... no. H-He's just like a friend to me. He's my best friend. It's... weird."

"You're stuttering. And you even excluded him earlier when I asked you about Ben."

"That doesn't mean anything!"

"That means a lot, (Y/n)." Klaus glanced at Five and Vanya who were still talking. "You like him. It's not that bad."

"Five... is not really open about his feelings. And it's kind of obvious that he likes Vanya."

"Uhhh, no. Vanya doesn't like Five while Five likes you and you like him!"

"Keep it down, they'll hear you!" You whispered, trying to cover his mouth but he held your wrists. Klaus frowned. "You could tell him now or you're chances of getting Five will be down to zero. It's now or never. You may never know that he'll be gone tomorrow or next week."

You snatched your wrists back, eyeing him suspiciously. "Who are you and what have you done with Klaus Hargreeves? So inspirational."

Klaus sighed before standing up. "You're not gonna do it? Fine. I will." He started sprinting off, chasing after Five and Vanya, leaving you startled and confused. "Fiiiiiive! I've got something to tell youuuu!"

Your eyes widened in horror and quickly chased Klaus. "Klaus! No! Don't you dare!"

Finally, you all arrived at the Academy. Allison and Diego carried Five while you opened the doors for them. You looked around for anyone to help. "Oh, God. Why did we even brought him here? We should've taken him to the hospital!"

"A kid with a shrapnel wound might raise some questions..." Five suddenly spoke causing you to turn to him in surprise. "You were awake?!"

"I won't be in the next few minutes." Five groaned.

"Shut it you two." Diego shushed.

Diego and Allison placed Five down on the couch. "He's still losing blood. What do we do?" Allison removed her blue blazer, placing it on Five's stomach for he won't lose any blood.

"We gotta get the shrapnel out."

Diego looked up from Five to see a familiar robot woman walking across. He got distracted and walked after her. "Mom?"

"Diego, where are you going?" You asked, standing up from your sitting position but Five held you back down. "Stay..." You looked down at Five helplessly as he stared back at you. "Don't leave me..."

It was surprising to see Grace was back and was the one who aided Five. You knew Grace was turned off but you didn't expect her to come back. Even Diego was surprised. You watched as Grace applied tape on the bandage while Diego and Allison talked.

You suddenly noticed Diego walking away but Allison stopped him. You didn't bother to listen to their conversation and leaned on the doorframe, looking at Five's sleeping face. As much as you want to ignore your siblings' conversation, you still listened.

Afraid that you might miss something again, you started listening. And what you didn't expect was Diego saying the words you would never expect to hear from his very own mouth. "Luther was right."

You and Allison turned your heads you Diego, both eyebrows cocked, scoffing. "I didn't think I would ever hear you say those words." Allison said.

"Yeah." You agreed, now leaning your back on the doorframe. "Going soft now, princess?"

Diego softly chuckled, a chuckle that you haven't really heard for a very long time. "Yeah, well... we gotta stick together."

"Where do we start?" Allison asked.

"There are no addresses in the file, but there is another relation listed. Jenkins' grandmother. She lived near Jackpine Road. You coming, (Y/n)?"

The question caught you off guard but from Diego's tone, he knew what your answer's going to be. "I'm gonna stay with Five. He might get pissed that I left him while he waited for me to wake up when I had a gunshot wound before."

"You had a what?" Diego quickly asked, getting surprised and worried.

"I'm already fine. I can heal faster than you guys, remember? You two can go on. I'll stay here."

Allison smiled warmly at you and pulled you in for a hug. You hugged her back, a smile forming on your lips. It was cruel that you and your siblings have to experience these kinds of things. An apocalypse coming and even with a lead, you still don't know how to stop it.

The fate of the world rests on the Umbrella Academy.

You waved goodbye to Diego and Allison and turned to see Grace by the door. "Hello, sweetie."

"Hey, Mom." You greeted back. "Glad to see that you're back. And thanks for everything."

"Anytime, dear." Grace planted a kiss on top of your head and smiled sweetly. "Now, if you have any problem just call out to me, okay?"

You nodded in reply. The robot woman finally went upstairs and you sat down on the corner of the bed where Five's resting. A yawn escaped from your lips and your eyes drifted to the side to see the prosthetic eye sitting on the bedside table.

You stood up from the bed and looked for a chair in the room. You found one where Five's jacket is sitting. You pulled the chair quietly towards on the side of Five's bed. You folded his jacket and somehow turned it into a pillow. Placing it down beside his arm, you laid your head and just stared at his face. Slowly, your eyelids are getting heavy and you weren't able to stay awake anymore.
