Sirius waited with bated breath.

"I'm listening."

Olivia sighed. "I know what you've been looking for."

Sirius' eyes widened, "I'm sorry?"

"I know who you're looking for."

Sirius stepped forth, making Olivia take a step back.

"What are you trying to say?"

"What I'm trying to say is that..."

Sirius was close now, he was able to pick up on the scent lingering off the Ravenclaw.

"You're her, aren't you?"

Olivia gulped, staring into Sirius' eyes softly, "I... I'm your secret admirer."

Sirius felt his heart soar out of his chest at that. The deafening silence around them was overwhelming but Sirius' mind was racing with many thoughts. He stared at Olivia intensely, trying to process this new information.

"You... wow, I wasn't expecting you to tell me so suddenly."

Olivia smiled up at him, her arms coming up to wrap themselves around Sirius' neck.

"I guess you just happened to be really good at convincing." She smirked at him.

Sirius smirked back at her but soon his face melted into a frown. He inhaled deeply and the expression only deepened.

Olivia watched him, her face puzzled, "What's the matter? Is something wrong?"

"That's not the scent." He murmured.

"What?"

"I'm saying that the perfume you're wearing now is not the same as the one you sent me."

Olivia's eyes widened, "Oh. Well it's not like I'd wear that all the time." She laughed.

Sirius nodded, releasing a bark of laughter but that thought was still lingering in the back of his mind.

"So, Walker, when did I become so charming for you that you developed feelings for me?" Sirius asked, raising an eyebrow teasingly.

Olivia grinned, "Since you probably fell in love with your own looks I suppose." She said, and pulled Sirius closer, leaving them inches apart.

"Well, what can I say, I just happen to be dashingly handsome."

Olivia moved even closer, "I guess I can't deny that." Her eyes fluttered shut and she inched closer.

A sudden gasp interrupted the two, making Sirius and Olivia jump apart. At the end of the corridor stood Kiara, staring at the pair wide-eyed. The Hufflepuff Seeker, Evelyn Jones rounded a corner, only to freeze at the sight before herself. When no one moved, she gently placed a hand on her friend's shoulder.

Kiara shuddered and turned to look at Evelyn, who had an are you alright expression on her face. Kiara shook her head furiously, blinking, before looking at the pair of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw in the middle of the corridor.

"I'm so sorry for interrupting, just wasn't what I expected to see when I rounded a corner." She laughed.

Kiara quickly turned around, getting a hold on her friend's arm, and rushed off.

"Rude." Olivia mumbled under her breath, before she smiled sweetly at Sirius, who was still gazing at the spot Kiara had been at a few moments ago.

"Aw, Siri, you wanna go do something?" She asked sweetly.

Sirius snapped out of his thoughts, "Actually I just remembered I have to be somewhere, I'll catch you around, yeah?"

The girl's face fell, a certain emotion lit up in her eyes but Olivia shot him a small smile, "Sure, see you."

Sirius nodded, before dashing off, leaving Olivia alone whose smile fell off her face as soon as the Gryffindor vanished from sight.

"I've got you in my hold Sirius Black, and I don't plan on letting you go."

Sirius rushed back to the common room, and when he didn't see his friends by the fireplace, he dashed up the stairs to their dormitory, skipping a step in between.

Sirius kicked open the door which slammed loudly against the wall, making all his friends' heads whip up to stare in surprise at Sirius standing in the doorway, carrying a sort of mad air around him due to his dishevelled appearance.

Peter jumped on his bed, "So?"

"It's her." Sirius replied quietly, his words bouncing around the room as the atmosphere had gone dead silent.

"Well, good for you, Pads!" James said, walking forth to thump his best mate on the back.

"Yeah, at least we won't have to hear your nagging now." Peter began saying, "Just James' for the time being."

"Hey!"

"Oh do shut up for once, Prongs." Remus snapped at James, turning to look at Sirius who stood limply in the doorway. "What's the matter with you? You don't seem all too happy, considering you just found who your secret admirer is."

Sirius sighed, "I am glad but something just feels off, but I can't figure out what."

Remus shut his book and stood up, strutting towards the other boy until he towered above him.

"Perhaps you need to know her more before getting into something more. Perhaps that's what is bothering you?" Remus voiced out as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, Sirius nodded slowly.

"Maybe you're right, Moony."

✧ο½₯゚: *✧ο½₯゚:*

It had been a few weeks since Sirius Black found out that Olivia Walker was his secret admirer. The two had started off nice and slow, trying to progress into something more. It was nice for the most part for Sirius, but at times, he felt as if Olivia was getting too eager, trying to jump into things real fast. Although Sirius tried to be happy, a part of him wasn't ready to go forward, not wanting to take things further.

But some of that seemed to fade when he was with Olivia, who always told him how much she had wanted this. How much he meant to her. Sirius was glad to see the girl happy, but he missed their old routine of writing to each other. Sirius felt as if perhaps his heart wasn't willing to let something else blossom, but he didn't want to lose his secret admirer, so he was going to at least try.

After the day the truth had come into light, Sirius received no more messages in his diary. When he asked Olivia why, she said she didn't see a point as they were now meeting in real life. When Sirius said he sort of wished to continue it, she waved it off.

Another thing Sirius had noticed was that the ring he had been gifted was blue most of the time.

Blue.

The colour that represents the emotion of sadness.

Perhaps the ring wasn't working any more. Sirius hadn't touched the topic of the ring with Olivia yet, not wanting to ruin the atmosphere. Everyday, when Olivia got close to him, the scent travelling off her and into his nose was different. It was never the one she had sent him that one night not too long ago.

One day, as the two were sitting out in the stands of the Quidditch pitch, watching the Hufflepuff team practice, Sirius finally decided to touch the questions itching to be answered.

"So Olivia, where did you put that diary now?"

Olivia tore her gaze away from the sky and looked at Sirius, "Oh, it's in my trunk. I guess I don't really have any use for it."

"I was wondering if we could start the writing thing again, I do miss it."

"But I feel a bit embarrassed writing in that, when we see each other everyday so I'd rather not." Olivia replied, examining her nails.

"Oh." Sirius mumbled out, before an idea slithered into his mind. "Oh, well, are you feeling alright? Are you happy?" He asked, remembering how his ring was blue.

Olivia gazed at Sirius with a puzzled expression upon her face, "Of course, why wouldn't I be? I'm over the moon now that you and I are together."

Sirius suddenly choked on air, "Olivia, we're not officially together yet."

"What?" She said out loud, a certain emotion dead set on her face. "What do you mean by that? I thought I meant something to you."

"You do!" Sirius answered, trying to handle the situation before it got out of hand, "I just wanted us to get closer before we took bigger steps."

Something shifted in the girl's face as her gaze landed on the ground, steadying her breathing, "Yeah, you're right. Sorry."

"It's alright." Sirius breathed out, studying the girl. Hesitantly, he worded his question. "Do you still wear the ring?" He asked, his grey eyes falling upon the Ravenclaw's hands, where a variety of rings decorated her fingers.

"Hmm?"

"The ring that I had given you before the Christmas holidays." Sirius said, speaking a lie to see if she was indeed who she proclaimed to be. Sirius had voiced this concern to his friends, who all said it could be a possibility if he believes so.

"Oh yeah that. I have it saved for special occasions to wear, after all, it was gifted by a very special person." She answered sweetly, her head moving up to look into Sirius' beautiful eyes. But instead, Sirius was frowning deeply, breathing heavily, his eyes screwed shut.

"Sirius, you alright?" Olivia wondered, placing a hand lightly on his shoulder. At the contact, Sirius jerked, standing up swiftly.

"How dare you?" He growled out. "How dare you interfere in my personal, love life?"

Olivia was alarmed by the sudden outburst. She stood up, grabbing Sirius' face between her hands.

"Sirius, what are you talking about? You know I'm the one you've been looking for. Why do you suddenly think it's not me?"

"Because," Sirius spat with anger, "you just lied about the ring. I never sent any ring, I only sent the diary connected to mine. The ring was sent to me, the matching one with hers, allowing us both to see each other's emotions. You never wore the perfume that I had received on that parchment, and you always turn down the topic of the diary. You've been pretending this whole time!"

The colour drained from Olivia's face, going real pale.

"N-no, Sirius... you have to understand, I'm the one you need. You are only mine-"

Sirius threw off her hands from his face, "Don't you even dare to claim me! I can't believe you made me fall into your trap! I don't even know how you found out about this in the first place! I only ever wanted to know my secret admirer, whoever she is! Oh no." Sirius mumbled out in a hollow voice, horror struck. "I must have hurt her, especially when I told her I wouldn't." Sirius ran a hand through his hair in worry. "I can't lose her now-"

A cold laugh cut into Sirius' rambling and his eyes snapped to Olivia, who had her head thrown back as she chuckled. When she set her head straight, her eyes held a maniacal look in them.

"Fine! You win, Black. I am not your secret admirer but I wanted you. You're rejecting me for her? Fine! But I'll let you know that you won't get her now. You blew it all up! She won't want you now." Olivia let out a cold chuckle again.

Sirius however narrowed his eyes as his initial shock wore down, "Wait a second... you know who she is, don't you?"

Olivia evilly smiled at him, "Of course, how else would I have known what was happening between the two of you? She doesn't know that I know, but you've lost your chance now, Black." She said, moving closer to Sirius, staring into his eyes. "Either choose me or stay searching forever."

Sirius clenched his jaw, "I'd rather have no one then be with you. Get out of my sight." He growled out in a dangerously low voice.

Olivia turned her nose at him in disgust, "Have it your way then." And with that, she flicked her hair over her shoulder, and strutted away, leaving Sirius to mull over what had just occurred.

Sirius sat down defeated, grabbing his head in frustration.

"What am I going to do now?"Β
