Bryce gave a half grin to his brother as he made his way into Miyagi-Do, finding in place with Sam. Daniel had called a quick meeting after the pair got home, ordering all the kids to meet up where it all began. "It's great to see you all back here again. You know, we had one goal going into the All Valley. Beat Cobra Kai. We walked away with a first-place trophy thanks to Eli."

Bryce reached over Sams head to rub the top of his brothers with a cheeky, proud grin. The team clapped for him before Daniel went on. "As far as the rest of the tournament, well, it just didn't go our way. We said we'd close our dojo if we lost. And...that's exactly what we're going to do."

"Daniel, what the hell?" Bryce gapped.

"Bryce, please." Daniel sighed. "As of today, I am shutting down Miyagi-Do Karate."

"What?" Sma asked in disbelief.

"Wait. Mr.LaRusso-" Eli began.

"I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, but with everything going on at Cobra Kai, continuing to operate Miyagi-Do only leaves a target on your backs. Guys, I have to keep you safe, okay? Just remember what you've learned. This dojo may be closing, but Miyagi-Do lives inside each and every one of you still."

"Great. Guess i'm getting a summer job." Demetri confirmed with pursed lips.

"Dad wants us home." Eli nudged Bryce. "We better go."

Bryce looked down at Sam. "You gonna be okay here?"

"Yeah." she said back, but it was anything but convincing. "Call me later."

Bryce nodded his head, pressing a kiss to her forehead, and turned to walk with Eli. "What should I do?"

"What do you mean?" he looked over.

"For Sam." his older brother said in return. "I know she's really down about this. Plus Miguel riding off into the sunset, she's worried. I can't drive seven hours every time she needs to feel better, gas is crazy right now."

"That's true. Public transportation is better for the environment, anyways." Demetri walked on the other side of him as Bryce gave him a knowing look. "Besides the point."

"I don't know, what does Sam like?" Eli shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know, all kinds of stuff. I literally just told her it was gonna make this the best summer ever and then...nope!" Bryce smacked his hands together when he said it. "I should break into her phone and see what's on her amazon wish list."

"Woah, okay." Demetri cleared his throat. "You don't have to break into a phone to see, you just need the link to her account. And, lucky you, I have it."

"Why do you have Sams amazon wishlist?" Eli gave a questionable look.

"Wasn't sure what to get her for her birthday, so I forwarded it to myself when she was pretending to hate you when you first joined Miyagi-Do." he shrugged his shoulders.

"Good times." Bryce pursed his lips. "You'll send it to me?"

"Yup." Demetri gave a salute. "Fair well, oldest Moskowitz."

"Only by a couple months." Eli rolled his eyes and hurried after him.

Sam didn't know why, but she needed to know more about her Dad and Jodie. For Bryce, he shrugged it off like it hadn't been a big deal or he wasn't curious. But, for her, she couldn't shake the feeling of their story being a bigger part of her Dads life then what he let up. She also couldn't help but remember how her Dads perspective on Bryce shifted in the slightest when he found out who his mother was.

"Sam?" Daniel caught her rummaging through his things, she backed up quickly. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." she stood in the middle of the dojo with one of the many boxes pulled infront of her. "Just...looking around."

"Something I can help with? Looking for something Mr.Miyagi left behind?" Daniel looked down at the box shed been in. "Won't be in there. That's all high school stuff."

Sam gave a guilty look before exhaled. "Dad, why don't you like Bryce?"

"Are you kidding? I love Bryce." Daniel laughed. "I wouldn't keep him in the dojo and let him come over so much if I didn't like him."

"Okay, so then why do you act like you don't like us being together?" Sam crossed her arms. "I mean, I figured you'd be happy. You guys seemed like you were really getting along good."

Daniel exhaled loudly. "Sam, it's not that I don't like Bryce. And if you like him, then I can support that. I just...want you to be carful? I don't want you to get hurt."

"Bryce wouldn't hurt me." Sams eyes fell into a faint glare, knowing if her Dad knew about the Kyler situation, and how Bryce went after him the second he found out, he'd understand.

"Jodie said the same thing." Daniel said it without even realizing he had, shutting his eyes immediately after because he knew Sam was not going to let it go.

"What happened?" Sam sat down on the floor to seem more welcoming. "What did Jodie do?"

Daniel sat down, taking a second of hesitation. "Back in school, Jodie was always just bad news. She was hung over every day, never saw her without a cigarette. Just, the type of girl your parents tell you to avoid. And, I did. Until after graduation, and I kept running into her at the plant shop."

"What was she doing there?" Sam had to laugh.

"Look for a certain type of plant, if you know what I mean." Daniel did crack a smile as Sam laughed. "I don't know, I just kept worrying about her all the time. I knew she was bad off in that sort of life still, she had no plans for her future. I wanted to help her, you know? I wanted to change her."

In a different aspect, Sam remember when she wanted to change Bryce too.

"So, we got close. And she ended up being funny, and open, and pretty hot headed. But, she was amazing, and I loved being around her." he went on with a shrug. "I knew she always had her dream of making it big somewhere, wanting to be some type of movie actor. She talked about it all the time, and that was just more important to her then I was."

"What do you mean?" Sam frowned her eyebrows together.

"I mean that she left me, out of the blue. She caught wind of a commercial being shot in Georgia and was gone the next day." Daniel shook his head. "I loved her so much, and she didn't even care about me enough to second guess it, or even ask me to go with her. She said goodbye in five minutes and I never saw her again...until I came and got you from Bryce's apartment."

Sam let it sink in. "Why did you never tell me that?"

"I didn't want you or Bryce to think I was judging him." Daniel shook his head. "But, guess I failed at that."

"I'm sorry she broke your heart like that, Dad." Sam frowned. "Did you love her more then Ali?"

Daniel inhaled. "Probably so."

Sam knew why he acted the way he did now. He was scared Bryce would be like his Mom and hurt Sam in that way. Not to mention, he saw so much of her in him. Sam knew, she truly did, that Bryce wouldn't do that to her. I mean, he pretty much bounded her to a house and they had a dog together. But, with the new knowledge, she needed to make sure that she was right. That they'd never end up like that.

She needed to talk to Bryce.
