𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍:
Visiting

HOUSTON, TEXAS. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN, the beginning of a friendship, love, and family.

The married couple decided to stay for a month, visiting their old home that Jasper had preserved.

Jasper has been staying in his and Evangeline's old house every time he visits Houston because it was where he and Evangeline shared memories. It was too precious to destroy.

After feeding, they decided to visit someone special, their daughter.

Before Evangeline followed Kate to Denali, Alaska, Evangeline requested Kate to bury her daughter.

"A girl?" Jasper asks as he brushes his finger to the tombstone of his daughter.

"I always wanted a daughter, a mini-me. Wouldn't you like that?" Evangeline asks, with a smile looking up at the sky, hoping her daughter is watching over them.

"A mini you? Of course, I would like that, my baby girl," Jasper says with a smile, putting an arm around Evangeline's shoulder.

"I still blame myself. We could've had a normal life, a human life, with our daughter," Evangeline says while placing her lips on the tombstone.

"Don't. I'm okay with our life now, I have you, and that's all I ask," Jasper tells her as he pecks her cheek.

"How many children do you want back then?" Evangeline asks while looking at her husband.

"If I'm being honest, I would like a soccer team," Jasper smirked at her. Evangeline laughs and shakes her head.

"Jasper! That's too many," Evangeline tells him with a big smile on her lips.

"We have the money to provide for them, besides I like the process of making them," Jasper tells her with a wink.

"And you'll like having a cranky pregnant lady?" Evangeline asks him.

"I would love to see you pregnant. It's my turn to take care of you and cook for you, just like what you have been doing since we were kids," Jasper tells her while shifting her body so she was now facing him, snaking his arms around her waist and pulling her closer, placing his head on top of her head, gently swaying them.

"I like taking care of you," Evangeline says while looking up at him. He was tall, practically towering over her petite frame.

"And feeding me," Jasper tells her.

"You like my pie," Evangeline says with a pout.

"I do miss that blueberry pie of yours, and I'll eat it every day if we wouldn't throw it up after," Jasper tells her, placing his hand on her cheek and placing a kiss on her plump lips.

Evangeline almost melted to the kiss, and it was a kiss that she had been craving for a century. How she missed it.

"Have I told you that I love you?" Evangeline asks him, looking at him with loving eyes.

"No, you haven't, but I can feel it radiating off you," Jasper says, placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Well, I love you," Evangeline says with a smile.

"I love you too, darlin'," Jasper tells her placing his head on the crook of her neck, nibbling her pale soft skin.

"You make me swoon when you call me that," Evangeline says while biting her lip.

"Stop biting that lip of yours," Jasper tells her as he leans down and bites her bottom lip.

"Can't help it. I have a very handsome husband. How did I get so lucky" Evangeline says.

"Oh, darlin', I'm fortunate to have a woman as kind and loving as you. You're my other half," Jasper says while his fingers comb her blonde hair.

"I would like you to meet my old friends," Jasper adds.

"Of course. When?" Evangeline asks.

"During the weekend, darlin'," Jasper says while swaying their hips.

"I would like that. Where did you meet them?" Evangeline asks.

"I guess I should tell you what really happened after you were murdered," Jasper sighs, looking at her straight in the eyes.

"That would be good, but I don't like you being uncomfortable," Evangeline tells him with a soft smile.

"You're my wife. We don't keep secrets from each other. I'll tell you when we get home," Jasper says, leading her away from the cemetery. Evangeline looks back, mouthing an I love you to her daughter.
