tw: suicidal intentions

"Oh, thank you." Allison took the cup of punch from TJ, her back turned from most of the party, her face covered in so much The Joker makeup that it was likely impossible for anyone to identify her in the dark lighting. "Does Jake even know you're here?"

"No." TJ laughed slightly. "Like, he really, reallyyyy, doesn't know i'm here."

Allison grinned. "Well, he probably wouldn't like that i'm here either."

"To possibly getting our asses kicked by Jake tonight." TJ held up his cup.

"To Jake." Allison cupped, hitting their solo cups together and taking a sip. She looked toward the stairs, seeing the trio of undercover masked intruders go up the stairs. "Hey, TJ?"

"Yeah?" he hummed.

"I have to pee." she admitted with a nod. "Find you after?"

"Okay, sure." he nodded, taking her drink as she hurried toward the stairs.

"Hey." Allison came through Simons window.

He yanked his headset off, looking in a panic. "Hey."

"Why are you so jumpy?" she laughed slightly, watching as he logged off his X-Box.

"Zombie game." Simon lied, holding his arm around for Allison to crawl into his lap. "You're here early."

"My parents had a dinner over at my grandparents." she hummed, her head rested on his shoulder. "I hope that's okay."

"Of course." Simon rubbed her back. "I'll go get some snacks."

"Okay." she moved so he could stand up, left in his gaming chair while his feet were heard going down the stairs. Allison spun in the chair slightly, looking at the computer again. She hesitated, scooting in closer.

Allison knew it was wrong and such a clique thing to do, but she clicked on his recent history. Her eyes scanned the video games, looking at the person he was playing with. A creek made her stop, turning around to see Simon standing there. He rose his eyebrows. "Caught you red handed, sweetheart."

"I wasn't-" she started.

"Being nosy?" he walked her way.

"No." Allison spoke fast, standing up so they were on the same height. "Maybe."

"Are you worried about something?" Simon gave an odd look.

"No." Allison lied again, biting the inside of her mouth. "Maybe."

"Don't worry." he exhaled, pushing her hair back and grabbing her face to keep her still. "The only other girl in my life is Janae."

"You can talk to whoever you want." she swallowed with a shake of her head. "I was just wondering what you do when i'm not around."

"Usually wonder when you're gonna show up." he gave her a teasing look, pressing a kiss to her forehead before heading to find a movie for them.

"I bet you're really feeling guilty now." Simon followed Allison up the stairs. "Like you could have stopped all of this? Remember all the times we had together. All the times that were taken away from us. All the things we'll never get to do again."

"Stop." Allison squeezed her eyes shut. "Just, go away. Please."

"No can do." he followed her. "I'm your own thoughts, Allison."

"Allison." Nate opened the door, pulling her in quickly. "Okay, we found something."

"Is that Vanessa?" she looked oddly at the passed out girl on the bed.

"This is really locked up." Brownyn spoke to her as she looked at the small chest. "So, clearly, there's something important. But, problem is-"

"The lock is the shit." Nate confirmed with an exhale.

"We could burn it off." she suggested, gasping as the door opened again. Turning around, the trio were met with Addy walking in with an exhale.

They were all frozen before she shut the door. "Burning it off won't work. I think you may need this."

She held up a key.

"Oh, thank the lord." Allison sighed in relief. "You haven't been corrupted and locked under a very haunting spell."

"How did you even find it?" Brownyn grinned as Nate took the key.

"Magic." Addy exhaled. "Which is funny because I think I was under a magicians spell. But, now it's broken because of pancakes."

"Well, I for one, love a weird code cracker." Allison admitted with a nod.

"Yeah, well, welcome back and I promise we're not gonna screw this one up." Brownyn promised her with an exhale.

"Here we go." Nate pulled Simons X-Box out of the chest. Allison took it quickly. "That's all for you, girl. Let's go."

"Yeah." Allison agreed as they hurried out of the bedroom door and toward Jakes bedroom. "Where's Janae?"

"I just texted her." Addy said quickly as she shut the door. Allison gave the X-Box to Nate as he hurried and hooked up to the the cords and cables, the messages being portrayed on the large screen.

"Take this. I'll get Cooper." Nate hurried to make Allison take his place, walking into the hallway.

"He knows!" Addy spoke in a panic as she stared at her phone. "Janae. He got to her and now he knows."

"Get the X-Box." Brownyn spoke quickly as she grasped the white box quickly, pulling it free from the wires. "Where can we hide?"

"Okay." Allison looked to the girls. "This is gonna sound insane but you have to trust me on this one."

"Oh my god, that doesn't seem promising." Addy inhaled, following Allison toward Jakes window as they climbed out on sync. "Wait, I need a hand."

"Okay, grab on." Allison held her hand out, balancing on the ledge with Bronwyn. The curtain flew open, Jake standing there. "Oh shit!"

Addy screamed as Bronwyn grabbed them. "Jump!"

The three jumped from the ledge, hitting the ground with a pained yelp. Jake looked down. "Addy?"

"Come on!" Addy screamed in a panic as she yanked the girls with her.

"Ow, shit!" Bronwyn clutched her ankle.

"Hang on, I can help you." Allison tried to wrap an arm around Brownyns shoulders.

"Run! Just get the X-Box out of here!" Bronwyn yelled as Addy grabbed Allison's hand, the two taking off in a sprint with the X-Box in their clutches.

"Hurry, get on." Addy encouraged Allison to get on the back of her bike, peddling quickly down the road.

Headlights shined behind them, the car picked up its speed as Allison looked back. "He's behind us!"

"Fuck." Addy panicked, the car right behind them as she took a quick turn into the woods. "How do you like my bike now, Jake?"

Only, she hit a rock, and the two girls tumbled off the bike suddenly, rolling down hill.

"Addy!" Jake shouted, getting out of his car.

"Run." Allison pulled her to her feet as they ran into the woods quickly, still holding the X-Box tightly. Jakes flashlight shined not too far behind them, both girls picking up their speed as they ran, ducking behind a tree and staying silent and still. "Did you see that?"

"See what?" Addy whispered.

"Coopers jeep." Allison whispered. "I saw the headlights."

"Go, hurry." Addy said, looking to the X-Box. "He thinks i'm the one that has it."

"I'll come back for you." Allison nodded quickly, running into the woods as she kept the X-Box close to her.

Allison didn't run too long until she collided with Cooper, hitting the ground again. "Allison?"

"Jake knows we're here." she spoke in a panic. "He's still after Addy, he thinks she has the X-Box."

"Nate and Bronwyn are still at the jeep, hurry." Cooper encouraged quickly as Allison took off again, running through the woods.

Jake. Simon. Jake. Simon. "He did it to me, Allison."

"Stop!" Allison yelled. "Leave me alone!"

"It's his fault, he did it." Simon spoke, Allison spun around to stare at him. "It's his fault we aren't together."

"Go away!" Allison sobbed as she stared at him. "Please! Just leave me alone! Leave me the fuck alone!"

"Remember what you lost! What I lost!" Simon yelled back at her, staring as Allison sobbed. "It's all gone now. Because of Jake. Remember-"

Allison pulled the gun from her waist band and held it to the side of her head. Simon was unphased, because it wasn't him, he was just a figment of her imagination. "-we lost everything. We don't get to go to college. We don't get to me happy. I died, in your arms. You could have stopped it, Allison. All of it."

"I'm sorry!" she cried, shoving the gun closer to her skull. "I'm so sorry, Simon."

"It's your fault!" he yelled, she cocked the gun in her hands, putting her finger back on the trigger. "Pull it."

Allison sobbed as she squeezed her eyes shut.

"Allison!" it was him again, but different, Allison's eyes shot up when he grabbed her hand and pulled the gun away from her head, cupping her face. "Its okay, it's okay. Don't do it. Please, don't."

Allison cried as her hand shook, she shut her eyes and dropped the gun on the ground. Simon would never tell her to kill herself, he'd never blame her for something like this. Why? Because he loved her. Because he didn't want to leave her, it was Jake. Jake was the cause of the problem, not her. Allison opened her eyes, he was gone. "Simon?"

Nothing. Absolutely nothing except a scream in the distance.

Allison took off in the direction after getting the gun, her legs burning and needed to give out. But, she ran, she ran just as Janae hit Jake with the baseball bat, not doing much damage as he picked her up as she yelled out. Cooper and Addy were close behind, huddled together in a panic. Jake. Jake did it. He killed Simon. He was the reason he was no longer here, he ruined it all. Not her.

Allison pulled the trigger, but nothing came. Empty.

Silence, just silence. Jake coughed as blood spread across his costume. When he fell to the ground, they all saw Allison behind him, holding the gun. She shook in fear, her eyes wide. "The gun is empty."

"What?" Nate looked at her, holding Bronwyn.

"It wasn't me." she breathed out. "There's no bullets in my gun. There was no bullets."

"Jake." Addy cried as she fell to the ground next to his dead body, Janae comforting her. Allison dropped the gun at her feet, the empty gun that never had any bullets. Cooper cried.

"Allison." Brownyn hugged her tightly as Nate did the same.

"It wasn't me." she held onto them tightly. "There was no bullets."

"I know, I watched you the whole time." Bronwyn promised, holding onto her as they looked back at the remaining trio. "What now?"
