We sat at the Byers' house, waiting impatiently. Jonathan was biting at his nail, Nancy was shaking her leg and Ms Byers was looking around, anxiously. I, on the other hand, sat back, looking around. One of the walls had the alphabet painted on it with lights above. Cute christmas decoration. We heard a car pull up and stood up, looking outside. Ms Byers opened the door and ran out, all of us following behind. "Mike. Oh, my god. Mike!" Nancy sighed, running up to him and pulling him into a hug. "I was so worried about you." She furrowed her eyebrows at him and placed her hands on his shoulder, stepping back from the hug.

"Yeah, uh... me too." He shrugged, looking confused. They must have some sort of strange relationship because this seemed new for him. She looked over at the girl with no hair and a pink dress on. She was pretty.

"Is that my dress?" She asked. I lightly nudged Jonathan.

"When do we tell her about Barb?" I whispered.

"As soon as possible." He replied. I nodded and went back inside.

I had explained everything to Nancy, now it was Mike's turn. "Okay, so, in this example, we're the acrobat. Will and Barbara, and that monster, they're this flea. And this is the Upside Down, where Will is hiding. Mr Clarke said the only way to get there is through a rip of time and space." Mike explained.

"A gate." Dustin grinned.

"That we tracked to Hawkins Lab." Lucas raised his eyebrows. "

With our compasses." Dustin added.

"Sorry- Do you always complete each other's sentences?" I asked, getting annoyed at it.

"Who are you?" Mike asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Teresa Ortiz." I replied slowly.

"Right, Teresa, clearly you don't have many friends-"

"Mike!" Nancy interrupted, shaking her head at him. He rolled his eyes whilst Dustin continued.

"Okay, so the gate has a really strong electromagnetic field, and that can change the directions of a compass needle."

"Is this gate underground?" Hopper questioned, fidgeting with his hat in his hand. Eleven nodded. "Near a large water tank?" He continued. She nodded once again.

"How- How do you know all that?" Dustin stuttered.

"He's seen it..." Mike whispered.

"Is there any way that you could... that you could reach Will? That you could talk to him in this-" Joyce's voice was breaking slightly, making it obvious she had non stop cried.

"The Upside Down." El said with a blank yet serious face.

"Down? Yeah." Her face lit up with hope. El nodded once again.

"And my friend Barbara? Can you find her too?" Nancy asked. A smile grew on El's face and that's when all our panic came to an end.

We all gathered around the table. The walkie talkie was letting out static noises whilst El sat there, her eyes closed and focusing. The lights started flickering and I felt Jonathan's hand slowly place on mine. I decided to not make a fuss about it and keep it there, hiding a slight smile. The static became faint and her eyes opened. Her face fell from shock to complete misery.

"I'm sorry." She whispered.

"What? What's wrong? What happened?" Joyce stuttered.

"I can't find them." Her voice broke as small tears formed in her eyes. Jonathan gave me hand a squeeze before walking away, sighing to himself.

El went into the bathroom to clean her face, meanwhile Mike started explaining things to us. "Whenever she uses her powers, she gets weak."

"The more energy she uses, the more tired she gets." Dustin added, explaining Mike's sentence into slightly more detail.

"Like, she flipped the van earlier." Lucas raised his eyebrows and looked around at us.

"It was awesome." Dustin grinned.

"But she's drained." Mike sighed. I was trying my hardest to wrap my head around this but this girl has superpowers!

"Like a bad battery." Dustin nodded.

"Can't you one of you speak or do you all have to?" I asked.

"Shut up and let us explain." Mike scoffed.

"Well... How do we make her better?" Joyce stammered.

"We don't. We just have to wait and try again." Mike replied.

"How long?" Nancy asked. Mike shrugged.

"The bath." El suddenly came from the bathroom. We all turned around, confused.

"What?" Joyce asked.

"I can find them. In the bath." She had a small smile on her face.

Dustin called his science teacher to figure this out, everyone was listening but me. I found the dog and, well... I love dogs so I was distracted. "Okay, we just need salt, lots of it." Dustin suddenly spoke. I turned around, confused.

"How much is lots?" Hopper asked. He looked down at his notepad, calculated it and then looked back up.

"1500 pounds." He sighed.

"Where are we gonna get that much salt?" I scoffed, shaking my head.

"The school.." Hopper whispered. He got up and gathered us all into cars and we drove to the school.

I got paired up with Nancy whilst Mike went off with his friends. I tried to open the shed door but it wouldn't open. "Stand back." Nancy suddenly spoke. I did as she said, not thinking twice. She hit the lock with a stone and boom! It opened.

"That's pretty smart." I smiled. She nodded and we went inside. I turned on the late and she grabbed the pipes, placing them in a wheelbarrow and we started walking towards the gym.

"So... are you and Jonathan like..." She looked at me, shrugging.

"No, no. I'm... still with Steve." I replied, feeling the awkwardness.

"Are you still friends with Carol and Tommy?" She questioned. I replied with a nod, not wanting to speak about them. "What you did... for Barb- that was sweet, really sweet. Without you... I wouldn't even know where she is right now." She smiled at me but quickly looked away.

"Barb never did anything to me so I thought helping to look for her would be nice." I sighed, rubbing my arm slowly.

"I didn't think you had any kindness in you. You were a dick to me all the time." Nancy laughed.

"Not all the time. When I was rude, it was a joke. That's how I am." I scoffed. It became silent again as we continued walking to the gym.

I stuck the pipes into the taps, turning them on. "Colder!" Lucas shouted. I turned the tap to colder. "WARMER!" He shouted even louder. God, this guy needs to let out his energy. I nodded and turned the tap warmer. "Right there!" He yelled. I got up and ran back into the gym, just in time. El put her goggles on and Joyce helped her into the pool. She laid down in a starfish position and the lights flickered off.

"Barb? Barbara?" She suddenly spoke. I looked at Nancy who's face lit up. The amount of joy that rushed through me was insane. Something I did has finally helped someone. The lights started pulsating, causing us all to worry.

"What's going on?" Nancy asked.

"I don't know." Mike replied with furrowed eyebrows.

"Is Barb okay? Is she okay?" She started panicking.

"Gone! Gone!!" El screamed. Nancy started crying and I covered my mouth, running out the gym.

"T!" I heard Jonathan shout. I sat against one of the walls in the hallway, fidgeting with my nail. I thought I was finally able to help someone but all I did was helping Nancy know that her best friend is dead. She could've lived without knowing that...

Jonathan came in and sat beside me. "I wanna kill it." I whispered. He looked at me confused. "Let's go to the station, get our things and kill it. Your mom and Hopper are basically making themselves bait. We have to help." I practically insisted. He nodded and stood up, holding out his hand. I grabbed it and got up. We ran to his car and drove to the station. Jonathan grabbed the box whilst I grabbed other necessities from the station. We threw it in the trunk and got back in the car, going back to his house.

We grabbed the things out the car, bringing it inside and setting up. Jonathan grabbed a two knives from the drawer, handing one to me. "Remember..." He sighed.

T: "Straight into Will's room. And-"

Jonathan: "Don't step on the trap."

T: "Wait for the yo-yo to move."

"Then... All right. You ready?" Jonathan asked, gripping his blade. I nodded and held my hand out, placing the blade on my palm. "On three. One..." He counted. Was I nervous? Extremely. "Two... You don't have to do this." He shook his head at me.

"Jonathan, stop talking." I scoffed.

"I'm just saying, you don't have to-"

"Three!" We cut our palms, I squeezed my eyes shut in pain.

I bandaged Jonathan's hand up, looking around occasionally for any sign of the monster. "My mom says the lights flicker- or- or speak when it comes. Think of them as alarms." He smiled as I finished bandaging up his hand. He placed his hand in mine and held it, looking into my eyes. There was some sort of glint in his that drew me to him... He leant forwards and planted a soft kiss on my lips.

"Jonathan..." I whispered, shaking my head. He nodded and let out a sigh.

"Sorry." He whispered back. I squeezed his hand and leant in, about to kiss him when there was a sudden knock on the door.

"I'll get it." I stood up and opened the door, not expecting Steve to be there. "Steve?" My eyebrows furrowed.

"Hey, T- What are you doing here?" He asked.

"You need to leave." I demanded, about to close the door. He opened it back up and shook his head.

"I'm not trying to start anything, okay? I told you I was going to apologise to him.. Aren't you supposed to be at Carol's?" He asked. I looked at Jonathan then back at Steve.

"I don't care if you want to apologise- You need to leave!" I raised my voice.

"No, no, no. Listen, I messed up, okay? I messed... I messed up. Okay? Really. Please. I just want to make things right. Okay? Please. Please..." He stammered.

"Steve! Look, I- Fuck. I like Jonathan, not you anymore... So please! Go!" I shouted. His face dropped.

"T..." He whispered. He then noticed my hand. "Hey, what happened to your hand? Is that blood?" His eyebrows furrowed and he grabbed my hand.

"Nothing. I was making some food and accidentally cut my hand, go. Now." I said, pulling my hand away.

"Wait a sec. Did he do this to you? Is this why you're saying you like him?" He burst in the door, practically knocking me out the way. He looked around, confused. "What is... What the..." He was completely puzzled.

"You need to get out of here." Jonathan went over to him and tried pushing him out the door.

"Whoa. What is all this?" He questioned.

"Listen to me. I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. Get out of here!" Jonathan shouted at him.

"What is that smell? Is that... Is that gasoline?" He shouted back. I grabbed the gun, loading it and pointing it at Steve.

"Get out!!" I yelled.

"Wait wait wait- What is going on?!" Steve shouted.

"You have five seconds and you know I'm not joking." I continued pointing the gun at him.

"Stop. Put the gun down." He held his hands up.

"I'm doing this for your own safety, Steve." I told him.

"T..." Jonathan tapped my shoulder. I looked around and the lights started flickering. "It's here." He grabbed the bat and came back over to me, holding it up.

"Where is what?" Steve continued asking questions. "Hello? Will someone please explain to me what the hell is going-" He was interrupted by a crash on the ceiling and a weird monster climbing through. I started shooting at it when Jonathan grabbed me by the waist, pulling me away whilst shouting. The monster thudded to the floor and screeched as we ran to Will's room, slamming the door behind us. I held my gun towards the door and Jonathan had the lighter on.

"What's it doing?" I asked, confused.

"I don't know." He replied. The lights flickered repeatedly until it just... stopped and the electricity jolted.

"Where'd it go?" I asked. He flicked the lighter off and furrowed his eyebrows, opening the door. We went into the hallway, Jonathan gripping onto his bat, Steve trailing behind us and I held my gun out, ready to shoot. We looked out and a puzzled look grew on our faces. It had completely disappeared.

We walked into the living room and I put my arm down by my side. The living room was completely destroyed but it's nothing I couldn't fix. Steve kept repeating "This is crazy." getting louder each second. You'd think he's locked in an insane asylum. He ran over towards the phone, dialling the police. I grabbed the phone from him and pulled it out its socket.

"No!" I shouted. "Everything was going to plan until you came along!" I groaned. "Leave now, Steve. Whilst you can." I demanded. He looked at me, then Jonathan, then back at me. He ran out the house and to his car, leaving the two of us. The lights started flickering again and I got my gun ready, circling the living with Jonathan. "Where is this son of a bitch?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows. The lights switched off and I felt Jonathan grip at my hand. I heard a growl and spun around. The demogorgon was about to attack him when I shouted his name. It pinned him to the ground, knocking the bat out of his hand. "Jonathan!" I shouted, reloading my gun. My hands were shaking so it was pretty hard but I think I did well. It was about to eat his face when I started shooting at it. "Go to hell you freaky monster!" I shouted. It got off him and started walking towards me. My eyes widened but continued shooting. It's face opened when my bullets ran out and it roared, running at me. I felt my back hit the wall and I closed my eyes tightly. I heard a grunt and a smack. I opened my eyes to see Steve attacking the demogorgon with the bat. "Steve." I smiled, sighing of relief. He continued fighting it, swinging the bat, hitting it and causing it to step into the trap.

"He's in the trap!" Jonathan shouted, grabbing the lighter and throwing it at it. It erupted into flames, the heat hit us in waves. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and put it out, coughing and cleaning my throat from the smoke. I rubbed my eyes and noticed it had disappeared.

"It disappeared again." I groaned, shoving the gun in my pocket.

"It had to be dead." Jonathan huffed, out of breath. We saw certain lights turning on and looked at it, confused. "Mom?" He whispered under his breath. We followed the lights out of the house and his eyes lit up.

"Where's she going?" I asked.

"To find Will." He smiled in response. I nodded slowly and went back inside to clean up.
✧. β”Š 11:30pm
I accompanied Jonathan to the hospital once we had found out Will was there. He ran inside the room and I decided it was probably best if I waited outside. Steve pulled me aside with worried eyes.

"T, I know it's an awful time to speak about this but... Do you really want to break up?" He asked. I wasn't sure how I felt. I've never had this many emotions at once. I hesitated before finally responding.

"Steve, you know I love you.. But... I don't love you like that anymore. I'm not even sure if I want a relationship. I hope you understand." I held his hand tight, worried for our friendship to end. He let out a sigh and nodded.

"Of course I understand. This means I won't lose you right?" He laughed. I nodded and went into the waiting room, sitting down.

It had been a while of endless shifting in seats until Jonathan came through. Mike immediately looked up and awoke the others, screaming that Will's awake. They shot up and ran over to his hospital room. Nancy and Jonathan followed behind. I smiled to myself. I had never seen anything like it.
✧. β”Š october 23rd - 8pm
I sat in my room, unsure if going downstairs is an option right now. My parents had been too quiet and I could smell some sort of sugary treat. I opened my door and slowly crept down the stairs.

"Mom?" I asked, looking around. I turned to the kitchen where she was taking something out the oven with a grin on her face.

"I know I've been the worst mom of all time but... I want to make up for that. So, to start off, I made gingerbread." She said, anxiously. I looked at her confused, furrowing my eyebrows. I had not smelt freshly baked gingerbread in years. I felt tears form in my eyes as she ran over and pulled me into a long needed hug.
