- after patrol-

Unknown - accept Chat's feelings before you start to regret it.

Marinette stared at the message again. She couldn't take her eyes off of it, and maybe, a part of her were already regretting ever rejecting Chat's feelings.

She thought back to Adrien and Kagami. What were they doing right now? On a date? Dinner with family?

For some reasons, Marinette was silently hoping that the Unknown would text her again soon. Now, she didn't know what to do. If the Unknown texted, she would get an advice, right?

She sighed and turned to Tikki. "What should I do now? Everything went so wrong so fast. Chat is probably so mad at me right now, and Adrien is with Kagami-"

"I don't think Adrien is really with Kagami, Marinette," Tikki interrupted. "Think about it, really. Why do you think Adrien has been looking so frustrated?"

Marinette shrugged. "I don't know. I don't know anything!"

"Marinette, what if Adrien has been trying to get people to stop talking about him and Kagami? What if he's trying to get people to stop thinking they're dating?"

"That's too hard to believe."

"How?!" Tikki asked. "Why is it so hard to believe? What if Alya is right, and Adrien really does like you?"

"Well... He's got other girls to even think of me," Marinette looked down. "Kagami and him have been hanging out quite often. If they're not dating, then he may even have a crush on her."

"Marinette," Tikki was lost for words. She couldn't tell her that Adrien had been chasing after her as Chat. She couldn't tell her that Adrien was so deeply in love with her as Ladybug.

If Adrien loved Ladybug, then he was sure to like Marinette as well, right?

"Kid, stop crying over about what she said."

Adrien looked up. "I'm not crying, Plagg, but I'm trying hard not to. What she said really hurt. So what if her crush got another girl. Did she really think I was the best person to tell that to?"

"Adrien, this is so unlike you!" Plagg yelled. "You've been acting all different. Usually you would listen to Ladybug. You would always be with her no matter what. You were always there for her. But now, just because she tells you how she's feeling about her crush, you decide to snap at her?"

Adrien looked at him. "I didn't mean to snap at her. I was just really upset. You understand, right?"

Plagg shrugged. "I don't think I really understand. But I don't think you should act differently towards Ladybug just because the guy she likes isn't you."

He mentally gagged at his words, knowing perfectly well that it was him that Ladybug had been crushing on. He just couldn't tell, that was all, so he needed to lie to cover it up.

"You're right," Adrien sighed. "I shouldn't be like that to her. Besides, I can't force her to like me. It needs to be her own choice."

The doorbell rang suddenly. Adrien stood up. "That must be Kagami."

"Why did you invite Kagami here?!" Plagg huffed. Whenever around the girl, he always felt creeped out. How did Adrien deal with it?

"I just need her help with something," Adrien answered, watching as Plagg went to hide in his pockets. After he hid, Adrien went to open the door.

Usually Nathalie would be the one to answer the door, but today she was sick. Gabriel was out to some meeting, leaving him to take care of Nathalie.

He opened the door. "Hey Kagami. Come in." He could hear gagging from Plagg when Kagami entered.

It was then that Adrien saw another girl. Marinette looked up at him from the bottom of the stairs, but her eyes seemed to be fixed at Kagami. He was about to wave, but Marinette gave him no chance and ran off.

Hmm, weird...

"Hey Adrien. Why did you ask me here?" Kagami asked as she watched him close the door.

"I need your help," Adrien explained. "You see, people are saying that we're dating, and I don't want that to continue to happen."

Marinette might have ran off because she saw me with Kagami.

I don't want her to think that I'm dating Kagami. I don't even know why I care what she thinks, but I do.

But why though? She's already got Luka. She's already dating Luka, and yet she's looking at me with those eyes.

I feel so guilty...

"Oh really?" Kagami smiled. Adrien knew her too well, Kagami wasn't the kind of girl that was looking for a relationship that soon. She wanted to focus on some other things, and she thought of Adrien no more than friends.

"Yeah..."

"Alright then, I'll help you with it," Kagami shrugged. "I don't want people getting the wrong idea, especially with that crush of yours."

Adrien nodded. Kagami knew he had a crush, she just didn't know it was Ladybug. Adrien wasn't really sure if Kagami was a fan of Ladybug, she never spoke much about her, nor did she mention her even in one sentence.

"Alright, tomorrow at school, I'll come with you, and announce to everyone that we're not dating," Kagami suggested. "But wait, if I come with you, people will get more wrong ideas. I'll just come in the afternoon."

Adrien nodded again. "Thanks Kagami."

"Now I'll be leaving. Seriously, this could have been done over by texting," Kagami rolled her eyes. "I came all the way here for this?"

"Sorry Kagami," Adrien chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Kagami touched the doorknob, then turned to him again. "Adrien, I saw you looking at Marinette earlier." She smiled. "Have you ever noticed about the way she feels about you?"

"Y-yeah," Adrien looked down. "So?"

"You shouldn't let her go that easily, Adrien," Kagami exclaimed, with a warning in her tone. "I know she's the crush you've been talking about."

No, she's not...

"She's already dating Luka," He blurted instead. He wondered why he hadn't just said what he had in mind.

"Luka?" Kagami frowned. "No, she's not. I know Luka, and I asked him. He said Marinette rejected him."

"R-really?"

"Yeah, that's why I'm telling you to never let her go," Kagami stepped outside. "Because you're going to regret it once she finds a boyfriend that's not you."

Instead of saying any other words, Adrien nodded, deciding not to argue with her just like he did with Alya.

Why are they telling me this?

*At Nino's house*

"So... You're telling me that you want to bring Marinette and Adrien together, but it's hard to do that," Nino ran through what she had just said.

Alya nodded. "Yes." She didn't tell him why it was hard, but Nino didn't need a reason to agree. He too had secretly wanted Adrien and Marinette together as well.

"So where do we start?"

Alya looked down, then finally looked back up. "I've thought about it, and I've decided. You might not get it, but... Tonight, we both are going to bring Chat Noir and Marinette together."

"Chat and Marinette? Isn't it supposed to be Adrien?"

"Eh, well..." Alya's eyes went everywhere besides Nino. Finally she came up with an excuse. "If Adrien hears about Chat and Marinette, he'll get jealous."

Nino nodded again. "Alright, we'll do it."

Marinette, Adrien, be prepared to live the rest of your life with each other!
