A buzzing, static humming could he heard from Ruby's room. PC had given up on trying to persuade Ruby to come back, and went back to the camera room to give her space.

The static got louder and Ruby sighed before hesitantly picking up her phone.

Ruby: Hello...?

[REDACTED]: Nice to talk to you again Ruby! *bzzzt* Have you got all the info on that parasitic monster yet..?

Ruby paused, looking outside the camera room. She starts to shake and whimper.

Ruby: Y- yeah....?

[REDACTED]: Great! We just need the coordinates, and then we'll FINALLY be able to bring that...abomination to justice. And save those poor kids who were kidnapped!

[REDACTED]: And how's that little....romamtic fascade? You holding up well?

Ruby couldn't answer. She hung up the phone and sat there, crying softly.

Ruby: I'm sorry, dear.....I love you. I will always love you, no matter how much of a 'monster' you are...!

The PC Doll was standing outside the room, listening with pure shock and horror.

PC Doll, quietly: It was all.....fake...?

ParaRuby angst- also a small snipet of lore for a future chapter. Basically, Ruby works (albeit she was forced) for this company thay tracks down threats to society.

Initially, they targeted PC and ONLY PC. But since they knew about their abilities, they sent Ruby in as a placeholder; manipulating her to put up this fascade that she and PC were really close.

But as they spent more time together, obviously, the two fell in love. But now Ruby has to watch as she's forced to give this..society.. the key to taking down PC.
