Jimin looked at his watch while rushing towards the entrance. He was beyond late. He spotted Hoseok and Lisa standing there.

Hoseok: I thought you hated latecomers?

Jimin: Did I really say that?? There's only one thing I truly hate and that's when people make stuffs up

Lisa: Hi Jimin!

Jimin: Hey!

Jimin smiled at Lisa and diverted his eyes towards Chen.

Jimin: What's up man?

Chen: Nothing much, where were you?

Jimin: I took a long nap

Jimin narrowed his eyes as he saw Y/N get out with a clenched jaw.

Jimin: Wow, madam looks angry!

Y/N: It's that boss of yours

Jimin: Another fight?

Y/N rolled her eyes while rubbing her arms. It was cold outside. Jimin took off his coat and offered it to Y/N.

Y/N: What's this? You care about me?

Jimin: I care about my source of entertainment.

Jimin mocked. Y/N snatched his coat while laughing. Lisa watched how the two joked around, she could see the way Jimin treated her. It wasn't the best feeling.

Jimin: Where are you going now?

Y/N: Home

Jimin looked disappointed, as if he came only for her. Irene stopped by them, she was holding Jongsoo. Y/M was about to walk away with the kid but she halted.

Y/N: By the way
She called out Chen.

Y/N: You should be careful

Hoseok was reading a message on his phone, one he had received from Jungkook. Hoseok was utterly shocked, but he managed to stay calm and looked at Y/N.

Y/N: And you should be more careful with your sense of judgement.

She warned Hoseok, before taking Jongsoo from Irene, the little boy was asleep. Once she walked away, Hoseok looked at Chen.

Jimin: What was that about?

Chen: I'm not sure

Hoseok stopped next to Chen. He abruptly hit the back of Chen's head with his gun, making him fall on the ground, unconscious.

Jimin: What's going on?

Hoseok looked up, he could see Jungkook.

Hoseok: I owe a few people apologies.

And D.O. was one of them.

Y/N: You were right, it makes sense now.

Y/N was talking to someone over phone.

Namjoon: Right, but I do have a bad news for you.

Y/N: What?

Namjoon: There's another person, another traitor.

Y/N: Who?

Namjoon: It's not that easy. Once you're done with the mission, I'll tell you

Y/N: I'll head off to Daegu tomorrow

Namjoon: How long will it take?

Y/N: One day

Namjoon: Then you'll have the information tomorrow. This mission will be a treaty of trust between us. We will bring Jackson down together, I can't deal with anymore crime in this city.

Y/N: Let me make myself clear, this is the last mission I take

Namjoon maintained a small pause.

Namjoon: Once you are done, we'll have a detailed conversation about it

Y/N: I made myself clear

Namjoon: Don't worry, I won't demand more missions from you

Y/N hung up and glanced at Jongsoo. He was sleeping with his head on her lap. She was doing all for him, so that he remains safe. Experiencing this feeling made her realise what happened had gone through. She couldn't imagine what her father had felt when she was told about her condition, that she was serving the very men who killed his wife. Mr. Kim. If there was even a dust's amount of hope that her father was alive, she wanted to pursue it. She wanted to thank him, at least for once,  for all he had done for her.

Jimin: You wanted to talk?

Lisa: Yes

Jimin: It's crazy right, Chen was working for Jackson this whole time.

Lisa: Yes

Jimin could tell that Lisa's mood was dimmed, but he couldn't understand why.

Jimin: What's wrong?

Lisa: I look at you, the way you look at Y/N

Jimin: W-What do you mean?

Jimin stammered, as if he was caught on doing something wrong.

Lisa: Everyone knows, except her. Maybe the guys joke about my feelings in front of you, but I'll say this once, for serious I Love You. It's sad that you won't return my feelings, but it's sadder that Y/N will never return your feelings.

Against her will, tears forced their way out of her eyes.

Lisa: It feels good, as if a weight has been lifted off my chest. I have felt this way since I was a little girl. I think now, I can finally move on. Tell her how you feel and move on, like me.

Jimin: Okay but don't cry, I feel bad. You deserve someone.....taller

Even in this situation, Jimin was able to make her snicker. It was this personality of his which she loved the most.

Jungkook: I'll meet you soon then.

Y/N walked in on Jungkook. He still held the phone against his ear. On spotting her, he bade the person goodbye.

Jungkook: Morning

Y/N noticed his attire, he was ready to go somewhere.

Y/N: Morning, where are you going?

Jungkook: I asked a question first, last night

Y/N: Someone I know suspected Chen, he got the video clip for me

Her answers still left him curious.
Jungkook: And who is that?

Y/N: You'll ruin my game if I tell you, since you've a habit of doing things in your way

If she was in a good mood, she would have told him everything. But currently she was pissed off because of what happened last night. She was waiting for an apology from him. She was ready him everything about Namjoon then; what Namjoon was doing was beneficial for them.

Jungkook: Your game? You know I always win, right?

Y/N: It's not you I'm playing against, thankfully.

Jungkook stepped closer to her. Once again Y/N felt challenged by his gaze, she stared back. Jungkook held her face and for a second she thought he was about to kiss her. Instead, he brought his lips near her ear and whispered.

Jungkook: Exactly, we're on the same team. Think about it.

Jungkook put his coat on and turned around. She thought about it, if he hadn't supported the allegation against D.O. and hadn't they fought, they would've dealt with the situation in the baddest way.

Jungkook: Take care of Jongsoo while I'm gone

Y/N: You'll return in a week, right?

Jungkook: Don't ask me questions now, do what I tell you

Y/N: Roger that sir (sarcastically)

They were likely to remain like enemies atleast for a week. Both of them were not going to give up their egos.

Y/N called Kai and waited for him to pick up the call.

Kai: What's up Boss?

Y/N: I'll not go for work today, I'll have to burden you with my work

Kai: I hate that, but sure. Everything okay?

Y/N was generally a very workaholic person, it was odd for her to take days off.

Y/N: Yes, I just have something to do

Jin looked at his phone while stepping out of the coffee shop with Jisoo.

Jisoo: What's up?

Jin: Today's date ends here

Jisoo: That's sad ~~~

They were hanging out a lot recently. Jin was almost scared: he didn't want to get too used to her.

Jin: I've to babysit my nephew

Jisoo: Jongsoo? He's so cute

Jin: Which is why I don't hate babysitting him

Jisoo: That's understandable. Well then goodbye, my uber is waiting over there

She pointed towards the opposite side of the road. Jin nodded.

Jin: Take care

Jin turned around and jogged towards his car. A scream made him turn around, he froze for a second. A group of men, dressed in black, forced Jisoo in a seperate car. She tried to resist but couldn't. Jin took out his gun and pointed at the tyre of the car. The men got alert and looked at Jin. As they were distracted, Jisoo took the chance and kicked one of them away from her. The only hope she could find was Jin. She ran to him with a fear of being shot from behind.

???: Don't shoot!! We need the girl alive

Once Jisoo reached Jin, he hurried towards the driving seat and she sat on the passenger's seat. By the time the men reached them, Jin had already started the car and speeded away. A couple of cars followed them, but once they reached a packed road, they stopped.

Jisoo: What the hell is going on?

Jin's muscles were tensed up. He was thinking hard. He took out his phone.

Jin: Jackson's at it again. It's about time we take action.

In a panicked state, Jisoo listened to him. He was talking to someone from the gang over the phone.

Jin: I'll see you then

Jisoo: Jin....

Jin: Listen, I can't answer all of your questions. An enemy of ours purposely targetted you

Jisoo: I'm scared, who's Jackson?

Jin felt guilty, maybe getting together with her was wrong. He felt like he dragged her in a mess. Jackson probably wanted to use her against them as a hostage.

Taehyung knocked on the door after overthinking for ten times. The door was opened by the same old woman. Taehyung knew her name, it was Kim Soyeon and his father's name was Kim Jeonggyu.

Note: In the story, the actual names were given as 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙤𝙣 (mother's name) and  𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙅𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙚 (father's name). I changed the names so as to keep the surname as Kim.

Soyeon: Oh, you're Rina's friend!

Sadly, that's how she knew him...

Taehyung: Yes, I came to meet her

He lied, he had actually come to see them and also to know something.

Soyeon: Come inside

Rina: What are you doing here?

Taehyung: I...came to see you

Rina blankly looked at him until Mrs. Kim Soyeon walked away; she couldn't help hold back snickering.

Rina: You came to see me? Sure

Taehyung: What? We're friends now

Rina: I know Kim Taehyung doesn't visit his friends often

Rina walked to the kitchen which was attached to the living room.

Rina: Soda or beer?

Taehyung: Water

Soyeon: You should've lunch with us, have you eaten?

Taehyung: Sure

He followed the two women to the dining table. It was a small round one, decorated with traditional dishes.  Taehyung realised this was the first time he was going to eat his mother's cooked food, his ears blushed. Rina noticed his peculiar behaviour, it was odd.

Jeonggyu: Isn't this the young man from last night?

Taehyung's father returned from a walk, joined them and smiled at Rina.

Rina: Ahjussi, no

Jeonggyu: What do you do?

Soyeon: He thinks you're a good match for Rina(whispers)

Taehyung: I-ouch

Rina stepped on his foot and faked a smile.

Rina: He works at a pet store

Rina feared that maybe Taehyung would split all the truth about their work. Ofcourse, she never told them about her job, Mr. Kim Jeonggyu was en ex-police officer.
But Taehyung was aware of that.

Jeonggyu: That's good

Soyeon: I can't help but notice it. Taehyung looks a lot like you, when you're younger.

Jeonggyu: Really?

Soyeon: Yes, our son would've been around his age

Jeonggyu sadly held onto his wife's hand.

Rina: Here we go again, about you long lost child.

Taehyung: If you don't mind, can u ask what happened?

Jeonggyu: My job was tough, especially when I took over a certain case. There was a man who had killed over dozen of people. But he had his influential father and always got away. I was the only one who collected evidence against him and eventually he was given capital punishment, execution. His father held a grudge against me and got his revenge. One day I woke up and didn't find my son in his room. Heaven knows what they did to him.

Rina: And that's why you do fvck with people

Soyeon: Rina!!!

Rina: Ugh, sorry

Taehyung: Who was this person who abducted your son?

Rina: Why do you want to know?

Jeonggyu took a moment of silence before spitting his enemy's name. As Taehyung had expected, it was Mr. Kim. He was dead long time ago, killed by Y/N. Taehyung didn't know on whom he would take his anger out. Rina was startled.

Rina: That's the man Y/N had killed that night... (whispers to Taehyung)

Jeonggyu: The worst part is, he was a government employee. What a disgrace!

Obviously, he ran KIA for years.

Rina: Wait a minute...

She was slowly calculating the situation. She had a doubt about Taehyung for a second but became sure of it when she noticed his angry. Only she could tell that he was angry. The silence was broken by a ringtone. Someone was calling Taehyung.

Y/N glanced at Jisoo who was trembling from head to toe. She turned and faced her brother.

Jin: It's bad Y/N, Jackson is reday to cross any line.

Y/N: First Jimin was attacked and now you. Did you tell Jungkook?

Jin: Not yet, apparently he is dealing with something very important

Y/N: I wonder where he is...

Jongsoo: Mom, look!!

The little boy waved a paper aeroplane at Y/N.

Jongsoo: I've finally learnt how to make it

Y/N: Wow, go and show it to that beautiful Ahjumma.

She pointed at Jisoo, who was sitting on a couch. The little kid lightened her mood and she finally smiled.

Jin: I'm worried about you, you shouldn't leave

Y/N: I'm safe. If I was in danger, Namjoon would've cancelled the mission. He knows what Jackson is up to. He is the one who informed me about Chen. You know what's dangerous? The second traitor. I need to find out as soon as possible.

Jin: Can we really trust this Namjoon guy?

Y/N: We both have a common enemy, that makes us friends.

Jungkook stepped into a fancy restaurant in Daegu, the location wasn't his idea. A waiter led him to his booked table, infront of him sat a woman he had known from past

Tzuyu: Hey

Jungkook: You look good in health

Tzuyu: Oh I am, what about you?

Jungkook: Same

Tzuyu stared at the man infront of him for a few minutes, she almost lost herself in his gaze.

Jungkook: What?

Tzuyu: Shit, it's been too long since I last saw you. Does your wife know you're here with me? The very woman who almost married you first.

Jungkook: Let's talk to business

Tzuyu rolled her eyes and put forward the file.

Tzuyu: According to daddy, Jackson has enrooted multiple bases in Korea. He is not that close of an accomplice, so he doesn't know too much about Jackson's plan. But he found the locations to be sources. Apparently he has a base in Seoul as well. Everything is mentioned in the file.

This was actually a business meeting, nothing more.

Jungkook: Thanks

Tzuyu: My father doesn't need your thanks

Jungkook: He'll get the money within an hour. I advice your family to hide for a while, Jackson's dangerous. We'll continue our collaboration.

Tzuyu: Aw, you worried about me?

Jungkook: I may need your help in future

Tzuyu frowned and looked away. His father was quite influential, that was the whole reason she was chosen as his fiance in the past, she was beneficial to Jungkook.
Tzuyu's family was Taiwanese. Her father what's connected to Jackson mutual contacts. Jackson had implanted spies in Black Bullet, similarly Jungkook had contacts.

Tzuyu: Oh, daddy doesn't know about the traitor, Jackson's quite secretive with certain matters.

Jungkook: Later then

He was about to get up when Tzuyu placed her hand on his.

Tzuyu: Wait, let's talk a little more. Just five minutes?

Jungkook glared at her hand, she quickly removed it.

Tzuyu: Atleast finish your drink.

Rina: What's going on? Why is Y/N here?

Rina sat on the blackseat. Y/N was driving the car, Taehyung sat silently next to Y/N. Y/N noticed his dull expression.

Y/N: You okay, buddy?

Taehyung: Yeah but what are you doing in Daegu?

Y/N: I'm on my way to burn 8 tons of weed into ashes

Rina: Why burn when you can give it to me

Y/N: Taehyung, I need your help to break into the illegal factory

Taehyung: Wait, what's up?

Y/N: A mission, I'll explain later

Taehyung grinned.
Taehyung: Let's do it, Agent 007

Y/N: Thanks, Agent 002

They sarcastically said, it reminded them of their old agent days.

Rina: And why am I here?

Y/N: Get a dress, I want you to attend a dinner party. You need to lure a man Daeshim out of there and knock him out. Taehyung will deal with the rest.

Rina: Wait a minute, I didn't get a notification from the gang. Does Jungkook know about this?

Rina guessed the answer from Y/N's silence, she smirked.

Rina: He doesn't. I work under Jungkook, why should I listen to you? That's like going against my pledge of loyalty.

Y/N: How much do you want?

Rina: Five thousand dollars would do

Y/N: Deal

Y/N took out some cash from her pocket and handed it to Rina.

Y/N: Buy a nice dress

Rina happily accepted the money.

Taehyung: Wait, what about loyalty?

Rina: Loyalty is nothing infront of cash

Taehyung: That technically means you can betray us one day

Rina: I know for a fact, no one is going to pay me more than the gang

Taehyung: Nevermind

Y/N stopped the car outside a deserted, dark area. The building was labelled as Sugar Mill, but Y/N knew better.

Y/N: I've texted you the address, get there by ten

Y/N looked at her watch.

Y/N: I need to reach home by morning

Rina: Ay, ay Captain

Y/N and Taehyung stepped out of the car. Rina sat on the driver's seat and drove away.

Y/N: Ready?

Taehyung: Whenever you are

The two of them had a similar mission, Taehyung already knew what to do.

Taehyung: I'm risking a gunshot from Jungkook for this. You need to ecpal I everything later

Y/N: So do you, I know something happened

Y/N had known Taehyung for a long time, she could guess that something was wrong as his behaviour changed.

Taehyung: Let's get this done

Y/N stayed put, Taehyung silently walked into the courtyard like area ahead of the factory. A couple of men tried to interrogate him but he silently knocked them out.

??: There's a fire!!

Taehyung created a chaos  in the courtyard by igniting a couple of oil tanks. Everyone rushed out of the building to put out the flames, not knowing the explosion awaiting them. What Taehyung did was mere distraction, he had his own ways of getting out of the trouble. Y/N trusted his abilities. She entered the empty building all alone. She looked for a gaspipe and tore it upon finding. She was quick enough to cover her face with a cloth while rushing out of the building. Y/N had quitted smoking, but she carried a lighter for Jungkook.  She took it out, lit a paper  and kept it at the entrance. She then closed the door. It took less than a minute for the explosion to occur, everyone in the courtyard was startled. All the drug was damaged.

There was a parking lot nearby, Y/M hurried towards it. No one saw her because of the darkness. She was about to reach for a vehicle, but she met with a surprise.
A group of men, dressed in black, scary looking, awaited her.

???: You messed with the wrong team

Y/N found herself trapped.

Y/N had sent Rina a picture of Daeshim, one she had received from Namjoon. Rina walked inside the restaurant looking at it.

Rina: Not bad. Why am I always given this work?

She frowned. She looked around to find Daeshim, but ended up spotting someone else.
Jungkook was sitting infront of Tzuyu, and she was holding his hand. She quickly removed her hand but Rina's jaw dropped out of shock.

That's his ex-fiance...

Rina: That asshole, he's cheating on Y/N?

She hissed to herself. Rina clenched her fists. She hated cheaters, she didn’t expect this from Jungkook. He was always in love with Y/N, yet he had the nerve to meet Tzuyu in another city.

Rina recalled this mission was a secret from Jungkook. She quickly walked out of the restaurant and headed to the garden nearby. She dialed Y/N’s number and tapped her foot while waiting.

Rina: Why isn’t she picking up? Did she fvcking die!

Rina remembered that agents switched their phones off. She once played the agent role as well.

??: Iris?

A man called Rina, with her mother’s name. Cold sweats dripped down her forehead as she slowly started to recognize the hoarse voice.

Rina: You?

The man narrowed her eyes.

??: You aren’t Iris. You’re Irina

As if the night couldn’t get any worse. Rina ran into her step-father, her late mother’s husband.

??: You look just like her now, almost

Rina: Bye

He blocked her way. He had only grown older and uglier, Rina couldn’t understand why her mother married him.

??: I was so happy when the two of you were born

The man was slowly getting lost in an emotion.

??: The moment I found out you weren’t my daughters, I lost myself. I really loved your mother

Rina was normally bold, but in front of the man who gave her a traumatizing childhood she froze. She noticed the same old monsters in his eyes.

??: But working worked out… (whispers) So I killed her

Rina: It was you….. I knew it… I shouted, I told everyone. But no one believed me.

??: Irina, no one will ever believe you. You’ve no friends, you’re too mean. You’re just a brat

Rina: You’re sick in the head..

??: I still can’t stop thinking about her! But you look just like her. I can use you

Rina: Ahjussi… help me..

Rina still stood frozen, there was no one around. She hadn’t felt this scared and helpless for over a decade. Just when he touched her shoulder, a voice reached them.

Taehyung: Step away..

Taehyung halted behind Rina, but she still didn’t move.

??: Who the fvck are you?

Taehyung: I’m her friend

The word ‘friend’ was soothing to Rina’s trembling heart.

??: Leave you don’t know who I work for.

Taehyung understood it all. He noticed the man reach down to his waist to grab a dagger. He was ready to attack. Taehyung looked around for CCTVs. There was none, Taehyung took his gun and pulled the trigger. The bullet pierced through the man’s head and he fell to ground. Rina jerked and fell down.

Taehyung: He deserved it

???: Who do you work for?

Being surrounded by trained me reminded Y/N of the old times, the Y/N-Jungkook chase. Y/N eyed the open car to the left, the engine was turned on. Y/N noticed their guns, not all of them had one. She raised her arms.

Y/N: I’m sorry, let me leave. I was forced to do this

Y/N lied, while rationalizing an escape plan.

Y/N: Take me to Daeshim, I’ve information of his use. I know his enemies

The spokeperson of the horde motioned his men to take her to the car. She quietly followed, still with her hands raised.

There were three men in the car. Two in the front, one sat next to Y/N. Once the car started, Y/N waited for their car to get a little distant from others, she didn’t know where they were taking her. She grinned, they were fools. They didn’t tie her, thinking she was nothing but a girl. Little did they know, she was a trained agent, who ruled a gang for years. Y/N hit the man next to her on the face with her elbow, she might’ve broken his nose. She quickly opened the door next to him and kicked him out, of course she stole the gun first. She didn’t delay before shooting the person on the passenger’s seat. She placed the gun against the third man, who was driving, the only one left.

Y/N: Do as I say or I’ll blow your brains out.

The man glimpsed at his fellow, who was groaning in pain after getting shot in the arm. Obeying her, he stopped the car and stepped out. Y/N also pushed the other guy, Y/N sat on the driver’s seat and rushed away before their backup comes. Y/N looked at the gun and blood. She had sworn not to hold one again, but it couldn’t be helped. She didn’t choose this life, it chose her.

Mark’s car was parked outside Jungkook’s house, he was on a call with Jackson. Mark was here to have a chat with Y/N in order to collect more information for Jackson. But according to the guards, she wasn’t home.

Mark: Neither Jungkook, nor Noona is at home

Jackson: Jungkoo is probably plotting against me. What about Y/N?

Mark took a deep breath before revealing Y/N’s secret.

Mark: She’s given a mission by KIA

Jackson: KIA? They just don’t know how to leave their ex-agents alone

Mark: Alright, I’ll head away

Jackson: No. Today, I was supposed to take a hostage, but failed.

Mark: Better luck next time

Jackson: There is no next time, all we have is now. Mark, how far can you go for revenge?

Mark: What’s going on in your mind?

Jackson: What if I tell you, there’s something that can bring Jeon Jungkook to his knees? It’s his son. If we have little Jeon, Black Bullet will crumble

Mark: I’ve already told you, Noona and her son shouldn’t be harmed.

Jackson: Oh we wouldn’t harm the innocent kid! Trust me. We’ll just use him as bait. Get the kid before the night ends. And I promise you your revenge when the sunlight shines

Mark was not the person he had become. Separating a innocent kid from his loved ones was against his morals, but it was overpowered by something even stronger. 𝚅𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎.

Taehyung: That happened, and we weren’t able to kill Daeshim. Rina didn’t even find chance to find him.

Y/N stopped the car outside her house. She was stunned to spot Jungkook’s car. He was supposed to be gone for a week. What surprised her even more was that, there was no security outside the house.
Jin stood infront of Jungkook, Y/N didn’t expect him at home, he was supposed to be gone for a week. The guards stood nervously around them. Jisoo was also present.

Jungkook: When did it happen?

???: Possibly at midnight

The calm expression on Jungkook’s face was gone, he held the man by his collar and pulled him closer, visible fear wavered through his eyes.

??: Boss, we didn’t know… It was Lee Mark! We though he came to meet his nephew

Jungkook let go of the man, who almost choked.

Jin: Y/N…

Jin was the first one to notice Y/N, the rest also turned their heads. Y/N couldn’t understand the situation but she knew that Jungkook was damn angry.

Y/N: What’s going on?

Jungkook faced her, even Y/N got scared by the look on his eyes. He walked closer.

Jungkook: Where were you?

Y/N: Calm down, what’s going on?

Jungkook: Our son is abducted by you so-called brother

A small table was between them. Jungkook pushed it away by kicking it. The glass broke and created a loud thud, Y/N jerked.

Y/N: No, Mark would never….

Jungkook: Now tell me…
