Hello everyone! :)

I'm Yumi!

As a Japan enthusiast, it would make sense if I introduced one of Tokyo, Japan's most famous districts.

Harajuku is a district located at the West side of Tokyo, between Shinjuku and Shibuya. Besides that, this fun district is well known as the center of teenage culture and cosplay.

Takeshita Dori

Honestly, this is literally the best place to visit in Harajuku. That being said so, forewarning: there will be crowds! Takeshita Dori is a shopping area with unique variety and you will find many things that you can't find anywhere else!

Firstly, I would recommend going to the Tourist Information Center near the entrance of Takeshita Dori. You will find many guides and info based on the latest news! They also offer English services too so do not fret! (this is something only minority of the tourists know)

Next, start shopping! For cheap, quality and practical souvenirs, head to Daiso! This place got all my shopping money sapped out, but it was worth it. All of my purchases were in good use and they last way longer than I thought.

There are many cosplay boutiques out there but I find them quite pricey and I seriously do not want to waste my buck. But if you're really into cosplaying, they have a very diverse variety and I recommend you buy a few of your favorites.

As an avid journaler, I personally love Purikura. It's a photo booth experience that's rather interesting. Basically, you take some photos in the booth for about 300¥, then you can decorate them with digital stickers. The machine will print the photos as stickers, so that you can stick them in your travel journal or something.

After shopping for your wants, it's time to take a break and eat some stuff! If you're looking for Instagram-worthy food, Totti Candy Factory is the right place for you! They have giant, colorful cotton candy that will wow your followers. Personally, I love this cotton candy for being so flavorful! (yes, you can taste the flavors, and it does not taste like plain sugar)

Another I super recommend are these "Harajuku Crepes". Whether you prefer a simple fruit and cream crepe or an extravagant crepe with brownie squares, they have it all! And they are so yummy!

Other good options include Croquant Chou Zaku Zaku (famous Japanese cream puff), Calbee (potato chips and French fries) and Milk! (fresh cream)

Others

Even though I've been to Japan 4 times, I didn't really visit the rest of Harajuku but,

If you love culture, go to Meiji Shrine, Nezu Museum or Togo Shrine!

Don't really like on how Harajuku sounds but still love shopping? Head to Omotesando Hills or LaForet Harajuku.

That's it, folks! I hope you find this guide useful!
