The group of friends hadn't been back to the 3rd floor in quite sometime. Actually the first years had been at Hogwarts for almost 2 months. Dahlia hadn't really noticed the time go by. Her and the rest of her siblings were talking as much as they used to despite the competition for the house cup.

Draco still wasn't talking to her. There was a day where she gathered the courage to go him but she was chased away by Crabbe and Goyle while he hust stood there, knowing very well that there were words that were needed to be exchanged between the two.

Classes were going smoother than expected. Elemental studies was still one of her favorite subjects. Hermione was rather interested in her side of Wizarding kinds which resulted in Dahlia and Demetria lending her some of their old books that they had read when they were much younger.

They were currently in Charms with Professor Flitwick, Dahlia could tell that Hermione was excited for this lesson. Then again she was always excited for every lesson.

"One of the Wizards most rudimentary skills is levitation. The ability to make objects fly." Professor explained before looking around the room. "Do you all have your feathers?" He asked making Hermione pick up hers. "Good. Now, don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The swish and flick. Everyone." Professor instructed making the Gryffindor and Slytherin first years repeat his last words and do the action.

"Oh and enunciate. Wingadium Leviosa. Off you go then." He instructed once more.

There they went. Dahlia tries multiple times but she still couldn't get it. She was about to ask Hermione to help her when she saw her correct Ron.

"Stop stop stop. Both of you!" She said to Ron and Dahlia. "You're going to take someone's eye out and you might end up like Seamus." Hermione continued making Dahlia stifle a laugh. "Besides you're saying it wrong. Its Levi-ohh-sa not Levi-o-sah."

"You do it then if your so clever. Go on." Ron snarled as the bushy haired girl.

"Wingadium Leviosa." She enunciated perfectly making the feather levitate as she moved her wand up slowly and let it go further up to the ceiling of the class, catching everyone else's attention.

"Well done. See everyone, Miss Granger has done it. Oh splendid." Professor praised the girl making Ron frown and lie on his books looking away from the two girls.

Dahlia nudges a prideful Hermione, signaling her to give her a fist pump. At first she looked confused but then she caught up. Dahlia and Hermione looked around the annoyed ginger to see Seamus try the charm again but instead of succeeding he blew up his feather in his face his eye brows were gone.

"Aren't you glad that I stopped you before you destroyed that fantastic hair of yours?" Hermione said with sass to Dahlia who just rolled her eyes in response before the two started silently giggling to themselves.

Dahlia had been worried about her new friend. She hadn't seen her since Charms. She had stopped for one moment and the next moment she had seen Hermione scurry away ahead of the boys. She had a bad feeling that they had something to do with it. She just didn't know how to ask.

They were now at dinner, the Great Hallwas filled with hanging Jack O' Lanterns. Dahlia would usully be trick or treating then the following day she would find a way to sneak some candy to Harry.

She finally had enough of poking her food with her fork.

"Alright. Which one of you insulted Hermione?" Dahlia questioned the boys.

"What makes you think we have anything to do with it." Ron asked the girl with his mouth full.

"Last I saw her she ran off in a fit just after walking past you two, Dean and Seamus." Dahlia answered.

"Maybe she just ditched." Ron responded bluntly

"Are you kidding me. Hermione Granger is the most educational enthusiastic person since Gracie Carleton." She huffed before angrily bitting into a piece of chicken.

"Who?" Ron asked.

"This muggle we used to go to school with. I'll ask Neville, maybe he knows." Harry said noticing that Dahlia had begun to glare at Ron. "Hey Neville, where's Hermione?"

"Parvati Pattel said that she wouldn't come out of the girls bathroom. She said that she bad been there all afternoon, crying." Neville told the trio.

Dahlia quickly told Demetria who's House table was behind hers so that she would at least know. They were mid way into their conversation when the doors of the Great Hall burst open and in came a screaming Professor Quirell.

"Troll! In the dungeon! Troll in the Dungeon!" He cried making all the Professors stand up from their seats and all the students turn their gazes towards him.

"Thought you would've known?" He managed to say before his eye fluttered closed and he fell go the ground, passed out landing with a thump before they heard thunder rumble in the air.

That caused all the students to start screaming in fear.

"SILENCE!" Dumbledore shouted making all the students stop in their places.

"Everyone will please, not panic. Now prefects will lead their house back to the Dormitories. Teachers will follow me back to the Dungeons." The moment he finished those words, Dahlia heard the prefects call for their houses.

Dahlia followed closely beside Ron and Harry as Percy told the group to stay alert and walk quickly.

"How on earth did a troll get in?" Dahlia asked as she hurried.

"Not on it's own. Trolls are really stupid. Its probably people playing jokes." Ron assured the two before she realized something.

Hermione.

She quickly pulled the two boys aside.

"What?" The two asked.

"Hermione, she doesn't know." She told the boys before they all broke out into a sprint.

Down the halls they ran, luckily Dahlia wasn't wearing her necklace at the time nor did she have it on her person so she would be at full power. They arrived there round about the same time Demetria got there. Guess she got the memo. The troll was already causing damage as they four saw Hermione screaming, covered in rubble.

"Hermionie move!" Harry shouted making her shuffle over.

The troll destroyed more stalls. The four started throwing pieces of broken wood planks at the thing to distract it.

"Hey! Pea brain!" Ron yelled as he threw another.

As they threw more planks Hermione crawled over to the corner as fast as she could. They only had his attention for a short while before he turned back to Hermione, destroying sinks.

"Help!" Hermione pleaded from the corner.

As Dahlia and Demetria looked frantically around the room for something they could use with their powers as a boost, Harry proceeded to grab his wand. He hung on the trolls arm before it brought it up and now Harry was sitting on the things shoulders. It started moving side to side, trying to shake him off.

"Ugh!" The four others exclaimed as Harry's wand got stuck up its nose.

The troll got hold off Harry's leg and and tried to hit him with the club but he always managed to lift himself up.

"Do something!" Harry pleaded as he lifted himself up again while the troll swung again.

"What?!" The three asked.

"Anything!"

Ron, Demetria and Dahlia pulled out their wands.

"Hurry up!" Harry pleaded again.

"Remember swish and flick." Hermione instructed from her corner, unlike the other two Demetria actually managed quite well during that lesson in Charms.

"Wingadium Leviosa!" The three chanted as they pointed swish and flicked their wands while pointing at the troll.

Its club started to levitate into the air making the troll look up in confusion. It then fell and hit its head.

"Cool." Ron and Demetria said with pride as Dahlia rushed over to Harry whom the troll had let go of.

The troll started getting dizzy as it swayed slowly while groaning.

Demetria saw that it was about to land on Dahlia and Harry. She quickly motioned her hands to use the water that was leaking from the pipes to create a puddle around the trolls foot.

"Figore corpus intueor!" She chanted the spell that their father, who was a professor had taught the group of first year Pruinaes that week.

The water started to freeze as it creeped up the leg of the troll, going to the other then it went up its waist and stomach alot faster, then the arms and finally the head.

There it stood, frozen in its place. The three wizards looked over to Demetria in awe who's hair was slowly going back to brown from frosty blue. Dahlia just smiled. If only her father had seen this.

"Is it dead?" Hermione asked.

"If I shattered it now, then yes. Other wise a simple spell and a slap to the face and it'll be walking the earth again." Demetria informed the girl.

Dahlia melted a small part slightly so that Harry could get his wand out.

"Eww. Troll bogeys." Dahlia exclaimed, it seems the body wasn't completely frozen other wise there wouldn't have been any bogeys.

They then heard the sounds of fast paced footsteps coming their way.

"Oh my goodness! Explain yourselves all of you!" Mcgonagall barked at the four.

The four started saying random nonsense that wasn't making any sense.

"Its my fault Professor Mcgonagall." Hermione interrupted the four who quietly gasped.

"Miss Granger?"

"I went looking for the troll. I read about them and thought I could handle it. But I was wrong. If Dahlia, Demetria, Harry and Ron hadn't come and found me. I'd probably be dead." Hermione lied, she never lied to teachers.

"Be that as it may. It was an extremely foolish thing to do. I would've expected more rational behavior on your part. I'm very disappointed in you Granger. Five points will be taken from Gryffindor, for your serious lack of judgement." Mcgonagall scolded the girl who looked down at her feet in shame. "As for you four. I just hope you realize how fortunate you are. Not many 1st year students could take on a full grown mountain troll and live to tell the tail. Five points will be awarded to each of you." Mcgonagall told the four who smiled in relief. "For sheer dumb luck." She finished before the teacher all walked back down the Hallway.

Julius left last, after making eye contact with his daughter and he smiled at her. He knew that spell better than anyone. Demetria smiled back, Hermione and Dahlia could see how happy she was. Her father was giving her some attention.

Though it wouldn't last long, it was better than nothing.
