' I've always liked to play with fire'

Before the group of friends realised, it was November. The clear blue skies had been replaced with cloudy grey ones and the green grass could be seen to be covered in frost every morning.

These conditions were the best for Quidditch. It was that time of year and the students couldn't be more excited. The first match was approaching quickly. Gryffindor and Slytherin would be playing against eachother in a few hours after weeks of hard training.

Harry was rather nervous, his friends could tell. He had been pushing his food around his plate for several minutes now. Dahlia can remember clearly how Fred, George and Catie would come over during the summer and they would play Quidditch in their backyard with Nicholas, Bellamy and Celeste for hours on end. Her and Ron would play cards inside while their parents would talk and enjoy eachothers company.

She remembers going to the Quidditch world cup when she was only seven. That doesn't mean she remembers much of the day though. So for her this was the first Quidditch game in a while.

Dahlia sat beside Ron as she finished her bacon.

"Take a bit of toast mate, go on." Ron insisted to Harry.

"Come on you need go eat something." Dahlia told her friend.

"They're right Harry, you're gonna need your strength today." Hermione said agreeing with the two.

"I'm not hungry." He reassured the three.

Dahlia looked up for a moment and saw Snape approaching the quartet making the girl confused.

"Good luck today Potter." Snape wished the boy with a small smile. "Then again now that you've proven yourself a troll a little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you. Even if it is against Slytherin." He finished before looking between his other three friends and walking away.

Harry and Hermione watched him as he walked away while Dahlia and Ron continued eating. Dahlia took a smaller piece of toast and gave it to Tewksbury who was lying down on her lap.

"That explains the blood." Harry said.

"Blood?" Hermione asked.

"Listen, last night I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion so he could get past the three-headed-dog he got himself bitten. That's why he's limping." Harry theorized as Dahlia listen in.

"Why would anyone go near that dog?" Dahlia joined.

"The day I was at Gringotts Hagrid took something out of one of the vaults said it was Hogwarts business very secret ." He answered as he faced Dahlia and Ron.

"So you're saying?"

"That's what the dogs guarding. That's what Snape wants." Harry answered Hermione before the sounds of squawking owls were heard by the four who turned their attention towards it. Tewksbury hissed at the owl making Dahlia rub her belly again to calm her

The snowy owl was carrying something that was long and had a thick and large end. As the bird got closer it dropped the package and luckily Harry caught it just in time.

"Bit early for mail isn't it?" Hermione questioned as she skimmed her eyes over it.

"But I...I never get mail." Harry stuttered, his tone filled with mostly confusion but excitement too.

"Let's open it!" Dahlia suggested before they all took a part of the packages wrapping and strings and  tore them off.

As they finished the whole thing came to sight. It was a broom stick.

"A broomstick, how lovely." Dahlia chirped.

"That's not just a broomstick Dahlia , it's a Nimbus 2000!" Ron exclaimed with a sweet smile.

They all heard the same owl squawk and turned to see Professor Mcgonagall smiling at the four

Dahlia was in her room getting ready for the Quidditch game that was about to begin. She put on her scarves and gloves while her roommate, Hermione was doing the same.

"I'll see you later Tewksbury." She told the kitten as she held up the feline, pressing the four heads together, the fur creature purring softly.

"You really love her don't you?" Hermione questioned the girl as she watched the scene.

"Yes, I really do. Now then are you ready?" Dahlia asked the girl as she played the black and white cat back on her bed.

Hermione nodded before the girls left their dorm room and followed the other Gryffindors down to the pitch.

Once they arrived they waited for a few moments before the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams flew out from their tents.

"The players take their positions as Madam Hooch steps out onto the field to begin the game!" Lee Jordan spoke as the teacher walked on.

She said some words to the team as the hovered above her. She kicked open the chest.

"The Bludgers are up, followed by the Golden Snitch. Remember the Snitch is worth 150 points. The Seeker who catches the snitch ends the game." Lee said as people watched the things fly into the air.

Madam Hooch grabbed the last object in the chest and threw it into the air.

"The Quaffle is released and the game begins!"

The sounds of encouraging screams and shouts came from all houses as the players on brooms flew through the air.

Dahlia watched as Angelina Johnson served past the Slytherin chasers gracefully.

"Angelina Johnson scores 10 points for Gryffindor!" Lee announced followed by cheers from Gryffindor and howls and moans from Slytherin.

Hermione and Dahlia moved over to make space for Hagrid who had joined them on the stands. Dahlia smiled at the older man who did the same back. The game continued as Slytherin took possession of the Quaffle.

"Bletchley passes to Captain Marcus Flint." Lee said as everyone watched the boy swerve and dodge.

Dahlia watched Harry as he watched above. This must've been part of the game plan.

She saw Flint try to score but it was blocked off by Oliver Wood, the Gryffindors keeper. The game went on as Gryffindor gained possession of the Quaffle, Slytherin trying to take it back.

"Another 10 point to Gryffindor!" Jordan announced as Gryffindor clapped triumphantly.

Slytherin gained possession of the Quaffle again and tried to score but were blocked off by the same Keeper. This angered the Captain of Slytherin as he took the beater from his teammate and hit one of the bludgers hitting Wood making him plummet to the sand below.

"FOUL!" Many Gryffindors yelled as other boo'ed.

"Take him off ref! Red card!" Dean yelled angrily.

"This isn't football Dean." Ron reminded him. " You can't send people off in Quidditch... wait what's a red card?" Ron asked obliviously making Dahlia giggle to herself.

Evanora, Draco, Crabbe and Goyle snickered as they saw the older boy lying there.

Marcus and this other Chaser were on either side of Angelina as she held the Quaffle. They bumped her over and over before she fell into one of the stands, falling down behind the tapestry and landing on the sand.

Slytherin scored again, tieing up the score. Only a few moments later Harry seemed to have spotted the Golden Snitch. He flew through the air trying to catch it but before he could get close enough his broom lurched in the air as it it was trying to get him off.

"What's happening to

Hermione took out her binoculars and started looking around the field before spotting the culprit.

"It's Snape, he's jinxing the broom." Hermione informed the two.

"Jinxing the broom?" Ron said sounding confused.

"What do we do?" Hermione asked the curly haired girl.

"Leave it to us." Dahlia said and before Ron could say another word this two friends had disappeared.

The two girls ran ad fast as they could to the teachers stands. The hurried up the stairs until they knew for sure that they were underneath him. Dahlia's eye sparked an amber color. She made a small ball of fire between her thumb and index finger.

"Lacarnum inflamari." She whispered as she placed the flames on the ends of Snapes cloak.

The moment the spark lit the two girl broke out into a sprint back to their stands.

They watched from a distance as Harry and the Slytherin Seeker fought for the lead. Harry almost fell once again but managed to pull up just in time. He was just above the ground when he had the Snitch in his sights.

Then Dahlia saw him do something unexpected. He started to stand on his broom as he reached his arm out. Before he could grab it he toppled off and landed on the grass. As he stood up it looked like his cheeks had puffed up and he was gagging. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as they watched the boy. With a gag once more he coughed it up, it was the Snitch!

"He's got the snitch! Harry Potter receives 15p points for catching the Snitch!" Lee Jordan announced with delight as Madam Hooch flew around on her broomstick blowing a whistle. "Gryffindor wins!" She announced earning happy and victorious roars came from the triumphant house.

Meanwhile Evanora and Draco were groaning to themselves.

Hermione and Dahlia clapped from where they were.
