Zander was born to Kiana and Derek Mckinley, both very successful in their own industries. his mother was a professional female soccer player for the NWSL and his father owned one of the biggest tech companies in the U.S. so he was raised in soccer, but also knew a lot about computers to say the least. with that, he started in little league soccer as soon as his mother could get him in. and he went to almost all of her games during her soccer season. his father was actually very involved with his life, despite the overall picture most big company owners got regarding their children.

Zander was 15 when his parents were both killed in a home robbery while Zander was away at soccer camp. his aunt came up to where they lived in Atlanta from where she lived in Florida to take care of him. initally, he was horrible to her, going through the process of his parents dying, but eventually he came around to her. he continued in soccer, getting his scholarship for soccer easily, and ended up going to the university of Georgia until his second year when he tore his ACL. while he recovered well he ended up quitting soccer and switching to computer engineering to run his fathers company when all he was told was that he wouldn't be able to continue in soccer.

when he was 23, he had a one night stand that turned into a kid being dropped off at his doorstep when he was 25, fresh out of college with no idea how to take care of a 2 year old. there was a whole legal process he had to go through, having no clue who the mother was, which made him sound like a real slut to say the least. all he knew was what was in the back back that came with the kid when he was dropped off in the lobby of his corporate building, you know the big ones with way too much glass. there was a note simply said his name, birthday, along with literally everything but the kids birth certificate or anything that could give away his mother immediately.
