(Cassandra's POV): In the Interceptor...

When I returned safely to the Interceptor, my Uncle immediately demanded that I contact Kia. He insisted that she was needed to help protect Oa once we entered the Oa route. Without wasting any time, I relayed the message to Kia; she expressed her eagerness to help and gratitude that it was a Friday night.

However, there were some recent events that I needed to inform her about. I sent a coded message to Kia, letting her know that Ragnar broke my arm. Her reaction was intense as she talked about cooking Ragnar into fresh steak. As for Razer, he's been jealous of Byth before he betrayed us, as we tricked him in return. But the most exciting part she paid attention tAttentionn Razer held my hand back at the Spider Guild prison.Β

Kia reacted excitedly to this and suggested that it could signify true love and romance blossoming between us. This made me feel anxious, as I didn't want to get my hopes up too high and risk being unable to hold back my feelings any longer. Right now, I'm sitting next to Razer and Aya while talking to Kia... in front of everyone:Β

"Scale on 1 to 10, Cass." Kia starts, "How many points does Alucard Hellsing have in the hottest fictional character rank?"

In exchange, Kia can humiliate me since I already talked about my romantic life in private and the mission, "100!" I replied by trying my best not to turn red: "B-Because of how Alucard uses his shadow-eyed powers by becoming his True Vampire and Demonic side, he can slice so many souls in one go!"Β

Everyone seemed confused about what we were talking about; Kilowog heard the part about 'Slice so many souls in one go' and questions about what I meant. Kia explained how it is a fictional character who can kill thousands of species without leaving anyone alive. By using Atrocitus as an example, but deadlier and crazier than even himself.

Of course, Kilowog pretended he wasn't terrified before mumbling they were glad that Atrocitus didn't have that kind of demonic power. I laughed about it, whereas Razer seemed to be disturbed by how calmly I answered about describing Atrocitus through a fictional character, to which Aya seemed intrigued and wanted to know more about it.Β

Kia receives a call and ends it with her usual farewell, "CodeLight out, Ghosthacker!" "CodeLight out, MasterGrid!" The Interceptor starts heading towards the LigLighthous Razer and expresses his surprise and disbelief. He turns around his seat to face Kia's Uncle and says, "I can't believe you agreed to this course of action. It's a fool's errand."

"I doubt it's foolish, Razer. "From what my Uncle always said, saving lives is never a foolish task." My Uncle nodded in agreement: "She's right. We can reach the Lighthouse before Atrocitus does."Β

"But the ultra warp drives of our ship are almost fixed," Razer argued, uncrossing his arms before he raised his hands to emphasize his point of view, whereas Aya turned around and chimed in, "Actually, they are 99.62% complete and will be fully operational within a few hours."

"We should head back to Oa. Then, we can engage Atrocitus' fleet with reinforcements."

"By that time, his armada's in Oan space destroying worlds. If we blow the Lighthouse, we may not even need to fight a war."

That's when Kilowog comes in to lighten up Razer's argument from furthering into a verbal fight: "If we seal off that gateway, we keep the two sides apart, they can't get at each other, and no one gets killed, see?"

Razer turns away by rolling his icy blue eyes at Kilowog's explanation:: "Oh, yes, what could possibly go wrong?" He speaks in a snarky and extremely sarcastic comment, making me giggle at him. He blushes a bit before I begin teasing him until he admits it.

(Saint Walker's POV) Location: Odym planet...Β

I sat on top of one of the branches of Odym while I continued telling him about what I had dreamt about, "Mogo, after my planet was devastated by the Red Lanterns, you pulled me from my blackest night. You called me here to you."

"I did?..." Mogo responded as if confused by my statement, so I explained further: "In my dream." I continue, "You said if I came here, I'd find a beacon of hope for the galaxy, someone who would stop the Red Lanterns from doing what they did to my people and many others."Β "I did?..."Β I nodded again and asked him in curiosity, "Are you sure the galaxy's savior isn't you, wise one? I would willingly serve you."

Mogo replied, "I am not..."

"You are a planet of few words, and I quite like how mysterious you can be." I complimented Mogo,Β "But now I ask a direct question.Β Who is the savior, and where do I find them?" I asked him, who then told me, "Climb."Β

And so, I jumped down and swung from every branch I saw while following the birds flying towards the soaring sky.

Meanwhile, with the Green Lantern team...Β

"β„‚π•’π•€π•€π•’π•Ÿπ••π•£π•’, π•ͺ𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕔𝕝𝕠𝕀𝕖𝕣 π•₯𝕠 π•£π•–π•’π•”π•™π•šπ•Ÿπ•˜ π•₯𝕙𝕖 π•π•šπ•—π•– π•—π•šπ•π•π•–π•• π•¨π•šπ•₯𝕙 𝕙𝕠𝕑𝕖.~"Β

I winced and grabbed my head in response to the loud noise, only to realize that it was Ganthet's. Before I could even process what was happening, Razer came to my aid and asked, "Are you okay?"Β

I responded firmly, "Yes, I'm fine... just a minor headache." Glancing up at Razer before I felt his icy blue eyes stare at me with worry and patience, but it ended shortly as Aya spoke up, "We have arrived at the coordinates to activate the Lighthouse," Aya announced. After seeing several space rocks in their way, Kilowog began: "I hope that code Byth Rok gave us works, otherwise it's gonna be a bumpy ride."Β

"Having to count on the word of a scoundrel is one of many reasons not to be here." Razer doubted it from skepticism, "Well, when you think about it. It does feel a bit uneasy." I agreed with him, while Kilowog told us, "Birdman couldn't lie." He continues, "The code was picked right out of his head."Β

With a smirk, my Uncle smiles and agrees: "If anyone could lie to themselves, it would be Byth. There is no use talking about it, though. Input the code for Cassie, Aya." My name is mentioned, and I instantly move my seat closely towards Aya like we were siblings as I sit in the excitement by being careful with my injured arm and from distracting her duties as being the best Ai friend:Β

"Okay, ahem!" I turned on the microphone. Everyone looked at me, and I repeated the code:" 'Code phrase red dwarf born of Galman Nebula.'Β Aya?"Β Β

Aya spoke, "Uploaded and ready to be broadcast in its galactic six numerical equivalents."

Pressing the button to broadcast the soundwaves towards the asteroid belt, after a moment or so, a gateway opens in the center of the asteroid belt, giving them access: "Whoa..." Kilowog blinked in shock, "Agreed." Razer spoke as if his breath was taken away in awe, "This is like Star Wars, only better." I excitedly gasped.

I observed my Uncle taking control of the Interceptor and moving it towards the entrance. The time seemed to pass slowly until I noticed Kilowog becoming increasingly anxious about the tight spaces around us. Razer began to mock Kilowog, saying, "Oh, what's wrong, Bolovaxian? Claustrophobic?" He looked at Kilowog in amusement, but Kilowog glared back and firmly stated, "No! I don't like small, enclosed spaces, okay?"Β

As Razer smugly mocked his friend, Kilowog appeared nervous. So, I interrupted him and shared my experience conquering my fear of enclosed spaces:Β "It's okay, Kilowog." I gave him a simple yet effective solution while sternly glaring at Razer, "I used to be afraid of enclosed spaces, and you want to know how you handle it?" "W-What?" Kilowog asked nervously, and I told him, "I stay inside a small closet for 5 hours, and then if I feel anxious like you are right now, take four deep breaths to calm down. Okay?"Β

Kilowog gratefully agreed and followed my advice, to which Razer looked away in defeat before I placed a hand over his as a sign to forgive him, "We are approaching a free-floating structure ahead." Aya informed us. Razer looked away in defeat and hurt, but I placed a hand over his to forgive him. However, he noticed my hand before ignoring it with his arms crossed over his armored chest by leaning onto his seat in boredom. I looked back outside until I felt him hold onto my hand. I silently gasped and glanced at him, but he remained stoic and slowly pulled me closer to Razer.Β

I blushed and accepted the gesture by placing my head on his shoulder: 'I guess he doesn't care if we get seen with affection... still, I don't know what to feel other than being happy and at ease; it makes no difference,' I thought. "The Lighthouse." My Uncle starts, "One of the wonders of the ancient galaxy. It's a shame to destroy this, but no building is worth the cost of a war."

Kilowog immediately turns around in shock at what he said with a hint of fear in his gruffy voice: "Hold up! If we blow this thing, won't the tunnel collapse?" "Not if I set it up to explode remotely." Razer explained his plan to him, "Guess it's lucky for us you were head of your class in sabotage school." The Bolovaxian Lantern commented, as Razer furrowed his eyes at him until he was interrupted by my Uncle, who ordered her, "Aya, prepare to dock."

"Let's get this done quick and clean, then hightail it to Oa." As we advanced, the path ahead seemed clear, but abruptly, a fleet of blasters emerged from both sides of the LightHouse towards us. "Taking heavy fire from all sides," Aya warned while I maintained my composure, using my right arm to fight back. However, I lost my balance and fell to the side, grunting, "Ooff!"Β

"Cassandra," Razer used his red power ring to lift me from the floor by placing me back on my seat before he stared at me in worry and fear with his hands on my shoulders as he asked, "Are you alright?" "No. Just my pride." Despite the pain in my injured arm, I tried to joke around. However, it only made the pain worse, and I winced in discomfort.Β

The person I was with immediately let go of my shoulders, but I grabbed their arm to keep myself from falling. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed by my reaction, as Razer appeared to be stronger than I had anticipated. I closed my eyes to regain my composure and stop feeling scared, "I can't move. We're stuck!" "I reserve the right to say, 'I told you so,' if we leave." Razer snapped, and I responded, "Not helping Razer."Β

"Kilowog, Razer, let's go." As soon as my Uncle gave the signal, I released Razer and saw him and the rest of the team follow my Uncle's lead. I hurriedly went to my room to grab my headset and laptop in one arm (which was difficult at first but managed), which I needed to connect with the team for guidance regarding Aya.

However, automated defense systems activate and fire on the Interceptor. A tractor beam holds the Interceptor in place, and the three Lanterns leave it to take out the attack drones: "Guys, Red Lanterns are inside the building. I repeat, Red Lanterns are inside the building." I whispered through their rings, of course, with the help of Aya.Β

However, they understood as they were surprised to discover that the Red Lanterns had already occupied the LightHouse. We had already obtained the actual code from Byth and were flying out to attack them. "Thanks, Cass. How'd they get the code?" Kilowog questioned.Β

Razer replied, "My guess would be Byth Rok."Β

Out of the blue, I saw everyone fighting for their lives through the Interceptor window. Aya and I witnessed Bleez, the batwoman, attacking Razer and punching him. I immediately demanded that Aya get me in contact with Razer.Β

"Razer, you need to make sure she loses this battle so we can get out of here. I don't care what it takes," I commanded.Β

However, I could hear Razer's grunts and growls from outside, leaving me uneasy about his safety. In frustration, I stood up as I punched the console, and exclaimed: "Everyone needs to get out of there before it gets worse, Aya." I began, "I wish I could be useful! I wish I were strong enough to do something to end this annoying war." "If you were a lantern like myself and the rest, then there is hope," As soon as Aya spoke, I smiled to express my gratitude.Β

Sadly, something began to end my peaceful moment with Aya by abruptly interrupting me with a loud, booming voice that echoed inside my mind, causing me to scream in alarm, "Cassandra." I fell on my knees while flashes of the Blue Energy came in fragments along with me battling in space, laughing with Kia, an oath being recited, but I couldn't hear it until I heard this: "𝕐𝕠𝕦. 𝔸𝕣𝕖. β„‚π•™π• π•€π•–π•Ÿ, β„‚π•’π•€π•€π•’π•Ÿπ••π•£π•’...π•ͺ𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕑𝕒π•₯𝕙... 𝕀π•₯𝕒𝕣π•₯𝕀 π•Ÿπ• π•¨."Β

I weakly glance at a blurry Aya, "There's a...voice...why are you...?" That's when I passed out.

(Aya's POV):Β

As I watched Cassandra struggle with the sudden influx of memories and emotions, I felt... uneasy and tense. I knew that she was grappling with something compelling beyond my understanding. All I could do was watch helplessly as she collapsed, her body going limp on the floor.

I checked Cassandra's vitals and monitored her condition. I was unsure what to do next, but then I remembered her words about hearing "the voice" I had been theorizing about. She had said that it was the cause of her reaction. So, I contacted the Lanterns through their comlinks: "Shields are degrading to critical," I told them.Β

"We better fall back before any more surprises!" Kilowog exclaimed. I unlocked the hatch for Hal Jordan, Kilowog, and Razer to return inside the Interceptor. Their battle with the Red Lanterns was put on hold, and I came in to tell Hal Jordan, "Attention! Attention informs Hal Jordan that Cassandra has passed out. He must return promptly to attend to her. This is urgent and requires immediate action."

"Aya, status? Are the ultrawarp coils okay?"Β

"They received no damage and will be fully operational in 122 minutes." Hal Jordan then ordered us to fall back to re-strategize our plans to destroy the LightHouse before he joined in with Razer, who knelt next to me while I held Cassandra in my arms, unconsciously protective of her. I remembered what Kia had told me a few months priorβ€”that I had become accustomed to caring for and being a protective little sibling towards Cassandra.Β

I found it foreign, yet I am an Artificial Intelligence with little knowledge about the emotions of other species. Back to the topic, I continued to scan her vitals for the second time. "Aya, what happened?"Β

"Her vitals are normal. However, it is confirmed that 'The Voice' of what Cassandra had spoken of was the cause of her reaction." I announced to him, and the team held worried expressions before Kilowog asked, "Do you think she's gonna be ok, Jordan?" "I honestly don't know. Razer, can you take Cassie to your shared room?" Hal Jordan ordered him, who nodded. I stared down at her as Razer carried Cassandra's unconscious body in his arms.

'How... precious.' I thought before returning to my post.

(Narrator's POV):

The door slides open as Razer slowly enters their shared room. He gently places Cassandra on the bed, covering her with a blanket she is comfortable with. He sits beside her, observing her features more clearly. Razer slowly but gently touches her soft brown hair.Β Razer's hand pulls away from her before he can caress her face.Β

It caused Cassandra to stir slightly in her sleep; Razer's eyes widened a bit but softened as he thought, 'You're going to be okay, Cassandra. I promise to protect you.'Β He stayed by her side for a while, a feeling of protectiveness and concern washing over him before standing up and heading back to the main hangar with the rest of the crew.

Cassandra's body floats in the endless blue void until she flutters her silver eyes open. She gasps in shock and exclaims, "Woah!" Noticing her attire has not changed, she tries to understand what is happening around her.

"=ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠 β„‚π•’π•€π•€π•’π•Ÿπ••π•£π•’.="Ganthet's calmΒ voice chuckled at her panicked and silent reaction before firmly telling her, "=ℝ𝕖𝕀π•₯ 𝕒𝕀𝕀𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕕, π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖 π•Ÿπ• π•₯ 𝕒𝕀𝕝𝕖𝕖𝕑.=" He said this, making CassandraΒ realize she wasn't dreaming but in a vision,Β "I-I'm... not asleep? Where am I?" She stammered as she looked around the empty blue void, feeling fear and curiosity.Β

Before she could comprehend her surroundings, a figure clad in blue energy emerged and surroundedΒ Cassandra with a comforting aura.Β Cassandra's eyes widened in recognition of the form before her. "Ganthet?... am I here talking to you?" she whispered in awe and disbelief, feeling a sense of peace over her, "=𝕐𝕖𝕀. 𝕀 π•¨π•’π•Ÿπ•₯ π•₯𝕠 π•”π• π•Ÿπ•˜π•£π•’π•₯𝕦𝕝𝕒π•₯𝕖 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 π• π•Ÿ π•ͺ𝕠𝕦𝕣 π•“π•šπ•£π•₯𝕙𝕕𝕒π•ͺ.=" She raises an eyebrow at him in confusion before saying:Β "But my birthday had already passed, Ganthet?" Cassandra watched the scenes unfold with mixed emotions - joy, sorrow, pride, and longing. She gasped in amazement as she saw herself running through the open fields of her childhood home, flying with her uncle, saving her from Joker with Batman, laughing with Kia about the craziest pranks they made, comforting Razer in many ways she had by showing her kindness and supporting on the Green Lantern Corps missions, and many more moments that shaped her life, "I...I don't understand what gift you are giving me, Ganthet."

It confused her, and the last scene played out. Cassandra stood before a galactic glass mirror, staring at her reflection. She saw herself not just as she appeared physically but also as a warrior, a friend, a protector, and a beacon of hope. Ganthet didn't say anything other than placing a hand over her injured shoulder with a calm smile.Β Breaking the silence that enveloped them, "=𝕀 π•“π•–π•π•šπ•–π•§π•– π•₯𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕀 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 π•π• π• π•œπ•šπ•Ÿπ•˜ 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕒𝕣𝕖...'π•₯π•™π•’π•Ÿπ•œ π•ͺ𝕠𝕦' π•’π•Ÿπ•• '𝕀 π•¨π•šπ•π• 𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕑 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦𝕣 π•Œπ•Ÿπ•”π•π•– π•₯π•™π•£π• π•¦π•˜π•™ π•₯𝕙𝕖 π•ƒπ•’π•Ÿπ•₯π•–π•£π•Ÿ 𝕨𝕒𝕣, 𝕒𝕗π•₯𝕖𝕣 𝕒𝕝𝕝 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖 π•˜π•šπ•—π•₯𝕖𝕕. 𝔸𝕀 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 𝕀𝕖𝕖 π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕒 π•˜π•¦π•šπ••π•šπ•Ÿπ•˜ π•π•šπ•˜π•™π•₯ π•šπ•Ÿ π•₯𝕙𝕖 π••π•’π•£π•œπ•Ÿπ•–π•€π•€.="Β

Ganthet spoke softly; CassandraΒ felt a sense of understanding wash over her. She realized that her journey was far from over and that she had a pivotal role in the cosmic balance of the universe. With a newfound sense of purpose and clarity, Cassandra turned to Ganthet, a determined glint in her eyes."Thank you, Ganthet. I won't disappoint you," she vowed, the weight of her words echoing in the vast expanse of the blue void.

As Ganthet's form faded, he offered one final piece of advice,"= β„π•–π•žπ•–π•žπ•“π•–π•£, β„‚π•’π•€π•€π•’π•Ÿπ••π•£π•’. The blue void dissipated around her like morning fog, giving way to the light of a new day.

______________________...Ending the dream...______________________

As she awoke in the physical world, the echoes of Ganthet's words lingered in her mind, guiding her towards a destiny intertwined with the cosmos and its guardians. Cassandra slowly stirred from her unconscious state, and she felt a sense of peace and guidance wash over her, a newfound determination burning in her gaze as she opened her eyes to the reality around her.

She knew she had a path to follow that would lead her toward her destiny with newfound strength and resolve. A loud, monstrous voice chuckled outside her shared room; Cassandra slowly got out of bed in a rush to see the reflection of her arm, now fully healed.Β

To see if it was an illusion, Cassandra removed her cast and moved her arm around as it surprised her that it was healed: "It wasn't a dream...I should thank Ganthet the next time I see him." She spoke under her breath as she then noticed something glowing from behind. She froze and slowly but wary of her surroundings, Cassandra recognized the same Blue Energy from her dream that it spoke to her,Β

As she made contact with the energy, she felt a surge of power and enlightenment flow through her, and her appearance changed to wearing a suit.Β

The energy danced around her fingertips, weaving a luminous pattern that seemed to resonate with her very essence. Cassandra closed her eyes and allowed the energy to guide her towards a new path, embracing the unknown with newfound courage and determination.Β

The brilliant light faded, revealing her new appearance: brown hair in a bob cut, white hoodie, and a different lantern pattern with neon blue glowing on her chest: "Woah... This is new." She checked herself out before returning to her natural clothing again and exiting the room to surprise her Uncle and the rest about what had happened to her.Β

Β She was greeted by the shocking news that Aya had been taken over by Drussa, who was controlling her along with the rest of the Red Lanterns. "I am sorry, Hal." Aya spoke emotionlessly: "I'm now a soldier for the righteous crusade Atrocitus." "{I am pleased that you could join our cause, Drussa.}" Atrocitus grins sadistically at her, who chuckles in pride: "Zartok was so surprised that it wasn't him."

"This is so~ good, and it's hard to get angry." Zox sneers in pleasure while they control Aya to continue shooting blasters at her Uncle, Kilowog, and Razer from inside, not knowing Cassandra is inside the Interceptor. At the same time, glaring daggers behind the Red Lanterns: "{Set a course to Oa.}" Atrocitus ordered her, to which Aya obeyed and typed down the coordinates to Oa by using the Ultrawarp to speed the trip process to get there.

"Aya... no..."Β Cassandra gasped, which made Atrocitus and the rest snap their heads around to see her. However, it was too late to hide, as she tried running away from them inside the Interceptor.

"{We meet again, my slave~}..."
