(No one's POV): Maelstorm...

On their way to Guardian Space, the Red Lantern armada proceeds into the Maelstrom; Hal, Razer, and Kilowog begin floating towards them, "So that's it?" Kilowog starts, "That's your plan? I have one question... Are you Nuts?"

"This harebrained scheme makes my other schemes seem well-thought-out and practical." He continued, "But what else can we do?"

As Kilowog and Hal discussed the plan, "Nothing." Razer said more assertively, "Thanks to us, the Red Lantern fleet will have no trouble entering Guardian space. But we're stuck here while Atrocitus flies the Interceptor to Oa, exterminating the Guardians. Don't forget that Cassandra is inside. We need to inform her immediately if she isn't aware yet."

"I think I know how to contact her... just hope she isn't harmed." Hal begins telling Kilowog to make a bubble for him to transform back to his regular clothing and takes out his phone to contact her through her phone.

Meanwhile, with Cassandra...

(Cassandra's POV):

Getting thrown across the main hangar for 3 hours was painful, especially when I got new chains behind my back as the controlled Aya bound me; no thanks to Drussa, of course, who then stood up and went back into piloting the Interceptor through the Ultrawarp to Oa.

Something vibrated behind my pocket jeans; I soon realized I still had my phone!

Immediately, without anyone watching me, I use my blue ring to make a holographic hand by picking up the call and recognizing the voice: "Cassie?" "Ssh, keep it down." I hissed, " Uncle Hal, the Red Lanterns are on their way to Guardian Space. Atrocitus is across from me while Drussa, the lady I beat the shit out of, is controlling Aya by flying the Interceptor to Oa."

"I know, we're in the Maelstrom trying to intercept them. Can you access the controls from your end?" Hal asked urgently.

"I'll try my best; just give me a moment," I replied, focusing on the ship's controls with my blue ring. With a bit of struggle, I put my phone back into my jeans pocket and tried to find ways to help without using my ring.

Back to the Lanterns...

Hal ends the call with a smile of relief as he delivers the good news: "Cassie is safe, but unfortunately, Atrocitus has taken her as their prisoner." Razer immediately questions Cassandra's well-being: "Are you sure she is unharmed? If anything, Atrocitus might attempt to do something that I don't want to happen to her again."

"Razer, I understand your concern for my niece, but rest assured, she is safe. They won't find out about her contacting us. Besides, my plan won't help us beat them to Oa, but it will take us to the same galactic neighborhood," suggested Hal before quickly transforming into his Green Lantern suit and firmly ordering his teammates, "Let's move out."

Everyone left except Kilowog, and Hal immediately realized that his friend wasn't coming with them: "Kilowog?... No. Even you can't beat an entire armada." "I can slow them down and maybe buy some time for your plan." Razer widens his eyes along with Cassandra's Uncle, who narrows his domino eye mask at him, "You'll need every minute." Kilowog assures him that it will be ok: "You got this, sergeant." "Godspeed, Hal."

(Cassandra's POV again) Location: Oa...

"Coordinates achieved." The controlled Aya replied, while Drussa also said, "Dropping out of ultra warp." I struggle to break free from my chains while trying to figure out how to get everyone not to see me escape. Still, before I can do it, Atrocitus decides to walk over and kneel in front of me while caressing my face with the disgusting clawed hand; I felt myself boiling in anger but instantly calmed down, knowing it wasn't going to work on anything that instead I stared deadly at him by glaring: "

My insult made me angry; I smirked in victory before getting myself dragged and hit my head on the controls for me, which hurt like a bitch. I winced in pain while laughing hysterically at how this was going destroy his ego so badly and said: "Citrus~ Citrus~, I simply told you the truth of how UGLY and disgusting creature you are to me. Is that too much to hurt your ego?"

A slap in the face was hard enough to throw me off balance and fall on the floor as I licked my lips to taste the iron of my blood drip from my mouth, "{SILENCE, YOU miserable SLAVE! I do as I want with you since you've been in this Interceptor for long.} Atrocitus glances at Aya as if an idea came in and says: "{If you do not behave, Drussa can erase your AI right now with one simple reset of permanent memory loss.}" He threatens; I instantly grew fear in horror of thinking of Aya being erased was something I didn't want to happen:

"She's not an AI; Aya is the strongest, most brilliant, and most amazing friend who knows exactly how to be a human being, unlike you ever will!" Unknown to me, Aya widened her eyes in shock, feeling warm and surprised about how my words affected her. Before Atrocitus could slap me again, he was interrupted by the other Red Lanterns looking at the planet and vowing: "{Oa... at last... Now, the day of vengeance has arrived.}" They receive a message from Salaak, who demands: "Incoming message from the surface." Drussa tells them.

Salaak comlinks, "The unidentified vessel, you have breached Oan space. Identify yourself immediately." "We are discovered." Zox panicked. On cue, I jumped on the comlink and shouted, "SALAAK! HELP! THE RED--" I was cut off by Bleez using her power ring to cover my mouth from exposing their existence in the Interceptor by my words being muffled; tears began falling from my eyes, and I tried to break free.

And since I didn't want to confront them that I was now a lantern-like my Uncle, nor did I want to expose my surprise to them, I glanced down at my hand behind my back, my blue ring began glowing, and I silently thought, 'I can't use it right now; my plan isn't to expose you to the Red Lanterns, or they'll try to harm you. Please hang on and be patient. If only you can hear my thoughts.'

For some reason, and unexpectedly, the ring stopped glowing and returned to be silent; I sighed in relief as I wince a bit on the slap printed on my face and heard: "Initiate an attack before they send Green Lanterns! Belay that order." Suddenly, Zox gets punched to the side by Atrocitus, who then slowly commands Drusa, "Drusa, your puppet." Who evilly smirks at him before rotating the device on Aya's head to do as she was told as Salaak began to repeat his warning:

"I repeat, identify, or face this-" "This is Green Lantern craft Interceptor requesting an emergency landing." Aya interrupted Salaak by informing him, "Hal Jordan, Cassandra Jordan, and Kilowog have been wounded and require immediate medical attention. I also have vital information regarding the Red Lanterns."

"Understood, Interceptor, and welcome home." After being allowed to enter Oa, I glanced weakly at Aya, widening my silver eyes to see tears falling from her eyes. I whispered, only for her to hear me, "Aya... I'm sorry... I wish I could free us from this..." Looking away in defeat, I didn't give up hope until I got a better look outside. At the same time, Appa's familiar voice was heard from outside. "-Salaak and Kia Roberts immediately bear the injured to the medical dome.-"

For once, I was glad that I recognized someone. There was also a black human girl with an afro cut, wearing green sunglasses and a green lantern suit. Immediately, I gasped silently but was excited to see Kia was there, too! She looks spectacular! Then the thought of me being chained and Atrocitus here made me freeze and panic over her getting hurt because of me and Aya.

I tried breaking the chains, but Drussa put me back to the floor on my butt by taking out the controls behind Aya's circuits: "Appa, you're making a freaking BIG mistake; this is a trick!" I heard Kia trying to convince him through the window of the main hangar, who ignored her warning by continuing the conversation with Saad, "~Yes, yes, as soon as I've received this vital intelligence the AI spoke of.~" "{Hello, Guardians}."

"Atrocitus! Fall back. Fall back!" Salaak's voice said as I heard shooting his power ring. Kia immediately headed to the window, where I was put in the controls to save me. However, I shook my head silently by telling her to help Appa and Saad; she shook her head with anger in her eyes, but Kia gave in since it was her duty to protect and save the Guardians from harm's way.

(Razer's POV): Zamaron planet...

After leaving Kilowog to deal with the Red Lantern armada, I returned to the Star Sapphire's homeworld with Hal Jordan. Then, I began seeing flashbacks about how A'gapo exposed Cassandra's and my feelings as they came rushing back to me.

Still, I shook them off while growing more anxious about what Atrocitus would do when he found out Cassandra was inside the ship... I couldn't stop thinking of all the horrors she was suffering, and I ignored it as my intention to become Hal's bodyguard. Minutes have passed, nothing, so I prepare myself to leave Zamaron to fight the Red Lanterns and Atrocitus. When Queen A'gapo suddenly asked, "You're not staying?~"

"I won't sit idly while evil prevails," I said sternly, halting in my tracks with my back turned towards them. Ghia'ta approached me with a soft smile. "Then go forth with the spirit of love," she suggested, "Love may not be the first thing on my mind as I charge into the path of an unstoppable armada." I replied coldly, knowing that love was not the word I was searching for, nor what I had in mind: "You are not as far gone as we had assumed, Razer."

Ghia'ta stared at me, "There is still love in your heart...If you truly wish to help Hal Jordan, there is another way." Shocked, to say the least, I was not expecting the Star Sapphires to actually let me go through the portal, but the one thing I didn't think clearly was the fact that I... I indeed have feelings for Cassandra. With some effort, I slowly entered via a Zamaron warp gate and was taken by anger to hear this:

"Say goodbye, my puppet." I blasted Drusa down after I made myself known that I was in Oa in the Interceptor by looking down to silently gasp at what I was seeing but kept it in. Cassandra's silver eyes met mine in disbelief; her face had a slap print on it. I went over to Aya, removed the control device, and said, "Razer? H-How?..." "It... It does not matter..."

I hesitantly kneeled down to use my ring to destroy the chains that bound her. As soon as she was free, Cassandra threw her arms around me. I was taken aback at first, but I quickly composed myself and held onto her tightly. Once I let go of her, I showed her a small smile for only Cassandra to see, but then I took notice of her face with a frown, "Your face..." I was about to question, but Aya explained it for her, "Cassandra earned a slap across her face by Atrocitus when she insulted his 'ego' sort to speak. However, I'm unsure how her arm got healed."

The explanation caught me off guard, and I looked at Cassandra, who sheepishly blushed, "I-It's n-nothing r-really Razer. It's just a slap, no big deal..." Her nervous chuckle trailed off while ignoring the pain on her cheek that I slowly touched, whereas she made a relaxed sigh by leaning into my palm and glanced up to meet my eyes:

'Atrocitus will pay for what he did to you, Cassandra. That is a promise I will keep.' I thought. "We must find Hal Jordan," I told her. Cassandra nodded as I hesitantly kissed the side of her cheek where the monster had placed the slap and stood up slowly to raise my hand to lift her up. Before carrying her bridal style, Aya showed us the way inside the Green Lantern Dome where Hal Jordan was located, "Are you sure this is the right way, Aya?" "Yes, and according to studies, Atrocitus and Hal Jordan along with the new lantern," Aya told us, I raise an eyebrow:

"What new lantern?" "Kia, my best friend from Earth! I promise you'll love her once this is over!" Cassandra elaborated, and the moment we arrived, we three heard Hal's offer to help the Red Lanterns rebuild their sector. However, Zox does not believe that anyone would come to the Forgotten Zone to help. Cassandra then whispered, "The one with spiky white hair is Appa. He's in charge of the Guardians."

I earned her a quick nod of understanding as 'Appa' stepped forward and volunteered: "I will come. What happened to your sector was a tragedy, but our willingness to ignore the tragedy we caused was a crime. I pledge to you the Guardians will make restitution."

Time skip~ (Cassandra's POV):

It was morning, and at last, Atrocitus was arrested for good!

"You will find me a loud and grating voice of justice for my sector, Guardian." Zox continues, "Whatever reparations you think are enough, start by doubling them!" Kia and I snorted before bursting out laughing from afar after Aya and Razer noticed our behavior. We didn't care if they were confused; we laughed at how Appa was so annoyed that he had to do the big work.

Aya spoke, "You must be Kia Roberts. I am Aya, an-" "OH MY GOSH! Cass! You never told me she is so adorable in real life, wow! Hi, please call me Kia for short!" Kia fangirls by hugging her, and I tried my best to calm her down when she stopped and turned around to meet Razer, who had his arms crossed over his armored chest and glared deadly at her, "Oh~ hoho~, you must be the famous Razer the Red Lantern, Cassie told me SO~ much about." I already felt myself turning red at what Kia was about to do now to embarrass me, but she was interrupted when my Uncle came in:

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. More or less." "Can the Guardians trust Zilius Zox?" Aya asked questions, and Kia, Razer, and I agreed to accept him to discuss repairing the Forgotten Zone: "They can trust him to do whatever's in his best interest, and that's a start." "True! Also, hi, Mr. Jordan!" Kia excitedly tells him, who smiles proudly at her before he turns to Razer, "Razer, how in the world did you get to Oa as fast as I did?"

The look on Razer's face was something I didn't expect. His icy blue eyes cast down as if he was trying to come up with an idea on how he could lie to my Uncle: "I—" Saved by the bell, Appa's voice came in and spoke: "-2184, have yet to be debriefed." He continues, "-That is, we Guardians have not yet had a chance to thank you, Hal Jordan.-" "You just did."

My uncle smiled and said, "We need to return to Earth." Appa asked him, "You just prevented an intergalactic war. What could be more important than that?" In unison, my uncle and Kia replied, "Dessert, graduation party, and someone's birthday." I turned around in shock and exclaimed, "You both knew about it and never told me?" My uncle explained, "I postponed the party due to the mission, and now you're becoming a mature adult."

Kia smiles excitedly, "And of course, once I heard your message about coming back to Oa," she begins. And girl, I gotta prepare everything for our first night into becoming adults!" My heart swells up, and I hug my best friend with everything I have: "You guys... thanks!" Before I knew it, my Uncle Hal was about to carry me, but I glanced at Razer's face, which held sadness as he looked away; I then thought of something before stopping him by saying, "Wait!" "Huh? Don't you want to go to your birthday party?"

I jumped down and ran over to Razer, hugging him: "Cassandra?" "I just wanted to do something before I regret it." Before Razer could ask what I meant by that, I jumped on him passionately by bringing him into a warm embrace. I didn't care if the Guardians, my Uncle, or the world around me wanted to judge; I just wanted to do it. Kia, on the other hand, shouted, "About time!" My Uncle chuckles, "Same here."

And I even heard Appa speak up. "-How... unexpected.-" He coughed. Once I stopped the warm embrace, Razer's icy blue eyes stared at me with longing, and yet, he was surprised as I lifted a bit of my brown hair behind my head with a smile: "Hehe, I-I-I uh... I always wanted to do that." I nervously let go when something unexpected happened; Razer lifted my chin before hugging me. I instantly melted as I smiled through it, and after that, we stopped and pressed our foreheads together. No words can be said about it.

That's when Kia ruins the moment and yells, "Can Aya and Razer come with us to the party, Mr. Jordan?" She asks as my Uncle shrugs in acceptance, "I don't see why not." I instantly smile and joyfully say, "Razer, you'll love Earth."

As Razer carried me in his arms, Kia and Uncle Hal allowed Aya to follow us toward the sky as we headed to Earth.
