(Cassandra's POV) Location: Earth Sector 2184...

As soon as we landed on the rooftop of my apartment with Kia, she exclaimed, "Welcome to Earth, guys!" Razer firmly placed me down on my feet. Despite my confession, I was still excited, but I couldn't help but notice Razer's stoic expression and Aya's confusion about our location. "Why are we on top of a building?" she asked. I explained firmly, "Since you both are from space, we must keep your presence a secret to avoid unwanted attention."

Razer nodded before he noticed that he was standing on top of the door. I motioned him to move so I could lift it, and it revealed a ladder leading down. I began climbing down as the rest followed; Kia, on the other hand, was the last one to follow after closing the secret door to the rooftop. Then, we all were welcomed by our (Kia and I) shared flat.

As we entered the apartment, Aya sat down on a couch. "Aya, you & Razer can explore the apartment while me and Kia get some clothes for you to wear so we can go out." They both nodded and began looking around our apartment.

(the blue light bedroom is Cassandra's, and Kia's room is the one with computers)

Aya was the first to ask, "Is this the kitchen?" Kia smiled, "Yep, and if you feel like exploring, go for it!" She shouted from the other side. The AI went through a door and found a bathroom and Kia's room, who followed and eagerly pulled Aya into the room so she could change into nicer clothes.

(I know I'm putting too many pictures, but hey, I'm getting lazy, so this pic up here is for Aya)

Meanwhile, I found some suitable clothes for Razer in my room, who surprisingly arrived and scanned the room with his icy blue eyes before speaking. "You have a nice place, Cassandra," Razer complimented. I blushed and smiled. "Thank you, Razer. I've been living here for a while now, and I've made it feel like home ever since I left my parents' house." His gaze lingered on me momentarily before he turned away, looking uncomfortable. We both fell into awkward silence and didn't consider what we should be known as, so, to save the trouble, I decided to change the subject:

"So, I got you some clothes for you to try on. Here." I handed him the clothes, who transformed his suit into his traditional clothing, and not long after, I showed him the bathroom. A few minutes passed, and I heard Razer call me in his language: "Cassandra?" "Yeah, is something wrong?" I asked in worry if something was wrong, to which he replied, "Yes, and no. More like...How do you wear this?

I was confused a bit until I realized what an idiot I was, and I facepalmed not long before cursing under my breath. After thinking it through, I felt my face turning redder. I had no choice but to ask his permission to enter. "Razer, a-are y-you... decent?" I stuttered. "I think so," Razer nervously replied.

'Damn it, I hate it when I stutter; I need to focus and control myself. Okay, I can do this; it's just like how I helped my little brother change for the first time, okay? Cool, here I go!'  I thought before opening the door to reveal a topless Razer, who wore only boxers. Our hearts were pounding while we stared at each other (good thing I had clothes on, or this would have been worse).

The one thing I couldn't stop staring at was his toned abs, which on both sides of his torso matched the black markings on his face; I swallowed my pride before I knew it.

Razer snapped my thoughts out by coughing, "D-Do y-you mind?" "R-Right!" That's when I began hesitantly teaching him how to wear black jeans, "Now...r-raise your arms up." He nodded while blushing in embarrassment as he did as told. I couldn't stop tracing my fingers over his arms as it caused him to shudder. I instantly pulled away in fear that I touched his weak spot, but Razer suddenly grabbed both my wrists back to where they were and motioned me to continue.

We didn't speak; the only sound we had right now was me putting him on a maroon-reddish turtleneck to cover his body's markings. Lastly, he wore a black leather jacket over it. We both were blushing and couldn't look at each other for how much this was affecting us right now; I mean, sure! We both confessed, but all the emotions of our feelings made it awkward: "There... now you look handsome." I grab his hand to escort him out of the bathroom, only to show Razer's reflection on the large mirror in front of him:

He seemed to stare at himself in disbelief, "I-

"Do you feel uncomfortable? I could get something else-" Razer cuts me off by expressing about the clothing I gave him: "Surprisingly... it is better than what I wear." His response before turning around to face me while the sunset glistened half his face, and I happily smiled while blushing: "I'm glad you like it!" I giggled until the moment was ruined by a picture taken from behind us by Kia and Aya.

Razer and I were caught off guard when Kia held up her PDA with a mischievous grin, revealing a photo of us standing awkwardly in front of the mirror. Aya stood beside her, amused by our reaction. We were both embarrassed and blushed furiously. However, Kia assured us that she wouldn't post the picture anywhere and that it was only for our memories. Razer chuckled softly beside me, and I sighed in relief.

Aya commented that we looked cute together, making me blush even more. Razer's sudden response was to glare harshly at them, his cheeks also red. I quickly stepped in, letting them know their comment was inappropriate and unnecessary. Kia changed the subject by handing Razer an earpiece to help him speak in English instead of his language. At first, he didn't want to, but I convinced him he didn't need to use his suit to translate. He often sighed in frustration before putting it on, and we all decided to head out to do some sightseeing in the city.

As we left the apartment, I spotted a green BMV car and smirked, "Kia, look at that car."

"Wow, that's an imposing car!" Kia exclaimed, her eyes fixed on the sleek design of the BMW. Razer, unfamiliar with Earth vehicles, looked at it curiously, as did Aya: "What is that?" he inquired. Aya replied, "This seems to be a vehicle that humans use for transportation." "That's right, Aya!" I interjected. "Is that a common mode of transportation here? I'm curious to know how it works," Aya asked. Kia and I nodded in agreement. "Yes, Earth has various car brands, but what we are doing is illegal," I stated firmly.

As we were standing in front of a car, Kia came up with an idea and smirked evilly. She took out a silver coin and used it to unlock the car door, but the coin accidentally made a loud, alarming sound, which made it seem like we were stealing the car. We all got into the car after Kia unlocked it, except for Razer and Aya, who seemed concerned and asked what we were doing. Razer questioned us sternly, "I believe we are now stealing a car." Aya replied, which made him widen his eyes in disbelief.

"If it is illegal, won't your Uncle know about this?" Razer narrows his eyes at me, whereas I poke my head out of the window by showing my shitty grin, "Yeah, well, he's busy, so don't worry about it. Come on, we wanna show you the mall!" Razer's expression remained skeptical as he reluctantly climbed into the car. Aya followed suit, looking nervous about the situation. As the adventurous troublemakers we were, I started the engine, and we drove off towards the mall.

Razer seemed tense throughout the ride, keeping a tight grip on the seat as we maneuvered through the city streets. "Kia, what did you do while we were gone?" I asked while driving the stolen BMV. Kia grinned, "Oh, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. But let's say I had a little adventure of my own by bullying another new Green Lantern name Guy who is just an asshole who doesn't care about his popular ego. I already contacted him earlier to do patrol for tonight, or I hurt in the nuts! Nothing personal!" She winked.

It made me laugh at how much "Guy" was suffering because of Kia's temper, and that made Razer less tense on the ride, "Another Green Lantern? Why need it?" He asked, "Idk; Appa said it's necessary, but I don't mind. Which means I can have free time whenever I want, so awesome!" Aya raised her hand and spoke: "If there is a new Green Lantern, then Hal is free to do what he wants like we all are doing, correct?" "Yup."

While my best friend continues talking to Aya, I glance through the rearview mirror and see Razer staring outside with his chin under his palm, and I can't help but feel the unknown longing of how things are starting well. His presence brings a sense of peace and comfort, even during uncertain times like this. I can't deny that I have developed strong feelings for him, and as much as I try to hide them, they always find a way to surface.

But for now, I push those thoughts aside and focus on showing our alien friends the wonders of Earth. Once we arrived at the mall, I parked the car in a secluded area to avoid drawing attention to our stolen vehicle. Razer stepped out, muttering something under his breath about the legality of our actions. Bouncing excitedly, Kia dragged us all towards the entrance, eager to explore the human establishment.

As we entered the mall, Razer's eyes widened at the sights and sounds surrounding him. The bustling crowds, the array of shops, and the various smells wafting through the air seemed to overwhelm him. On the other hand, Aya appeared more composed, taking in the new environment with curiosity.

We guided Razer and Aya through the mall together, pointing out different stores and explaining the shopping concept. Razer seemed fascinated by the variety of displayed items. At the same time, Aya was intrigued by the Earthlings' different fashion styles until Kia had an idea that I wasn't expecting her to do: "Okay! Listen up! Razer will accompany me while you, birthday girl, show Aya where the library is! And no buts, okay?"

"Why?" I questioned a little, and she shushed me by pushing me away from Razer with a confident smile. Before I knew it, Kia dragged Razer away, and I felt jealous, so I left with Aya to show her around.

(Razer's POV):

"C'mon, Razer! Let's go find a gift!" she finally told me, to which I pulled my arm away from her grasp and glared at Kia. "What do you think you're doing?" I hissed as she widened her eyes at my reaction before saying, "What's it look like? I'm giving you the distance to collect your thoughts to find a gift for my best friend."

I grumbled in annoyance but eventually relented, following Kia through the bustling mall. She led me from store to store, pointing out different items she thought would make a suitable gift for Cassandra. I couldn't help but feel a bit anxious at the thought of picking out a gift, as it was something foreign to me.

But Kia's infectious enthusiasm and encouragement pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and consider what Cassandra would appreciate: "Now, let's get something to eat... Razer? oh..." Ignoring Kia as I finally found something piqued my interest, a necklace I had never seen caught my eye.

My thoughts were interrupted by Kia, who walked up next to me and explained, "That's very pretty, you know." She begins: "I bet Cassie would love it!" Kia smiled approvingly, and I slowly continued staring at it: "You...You think so?" I hesitantly asked: "I doubt it." I ignored my interest until she showed me the way inside as more jewelry was displayed while humans were buying different ones than the one I saw in the glass case, "What is this place?"

I noticed it was hushed earlier. Many people were whispering to one another about everything in this store: "This is a jewelry shop, Razer." Kia whispers, "It's a place where men intend to buy them for their women to show off, but sometimes, we use it as a sign to show how much we deeply care about the person we love or see in them. Take Cassie and you, for example..."

Her voice trails off; I glance at her and ask, "What about her and me?" "Well, you see her as someone who will do anything to protect and sacrifice your life for her to be protected from harm's way, the way you look at her, the way she makes you feel better by comforting you in her natural way. This is the first time Cassandra has ever felt like this for someone. She never dated until you came into the picture. And I can say that... if you love her this much, we wouldn't have this conversation about the necklace."

Kia's words struck a chord within me, causing me to pause and reflect on my feelings for Cassandra. The thought of her always putting my well-being before hers, her comforting presence when I was overwhelmed by unfamiliar emotions, and her unwavering support suddenly made sense to me. I realized that I cared more deeply for her than I had initially thought.

With a newfound determination, I decided and gestured toward the necklace, "I'll take this one." Kia beamed with pride, patting my back in approval as we approached the counter to make the purchase. The clerk, a kind elderly woman, wrapped the necklace in a delicate box and handed it to me, "A gift for your special someone, young man?" I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her for understanding the significance of the gift. With the necklace in hand, I felt nervous as I thought about presenting it to Cassandra... for tonight, just not now.

As we left the jewelry shop, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building up inside me. Kia noticed my nervousness and offered words of encouragement, "You'll do great, Razer. I'm sure Cassandra will appreciate your thoughts on choosing this gift for her." Her words calmed my nerves slightly, and I nodded in grateful appreciation: "Kia..." "Hm?" "Thank you...for pulling me away like that..." I thanked her, and Kia giggled, "It's nothing; just don't break her heart. And if you ever want to consult with me about her. I got my power ring to contact you."

We returned to where Cassandra and Aya were exploring the mall, and I spotted Cassandra showing Aya various books in the bookstore. The way she smiles makes my heart warm that I put the necklace inside my jacket, and Kia begins knocking on the glass to get their attention as they come outside with a wave, and we leave the mall, "Now, we got a party to go to!" Kia excitedly said.

At the ClubHouse... 8:36 p.m.

"Welcome to the CodeLight club, where all surviving alien refugees live and learn how to communicate on Earth!" exclaimed Kia confidently. As I entered the Clubhouse, I was greeted by a vibrant display of blue and green balloons, streamers, and a giant banner that proudly proclaimed, "Happy 21st Birthday, Cassandra!" My attention was then drawn to Cassandra, who had just stepped out in a stunning light blue dress.

Her brown hair, curled and adorned with sparkling accents, left me in awe.

She beamed with happiness as she spotted me, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions wash over me. Kia dragged me towards Cassandra, who looked surprised to see me in my new outfit. "Razer! You look amazing!" she exclaimed, making my heart race. I hesitantly handed her the delicately wrapped box with the necklace inside, and she gasped in delight as she opened it.

Her eyes widened with astonishment as she gazed at the necklace. After looking back at me, I noticed a shimmer of tears in her eyes. "Razer, this is beautiful. Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. Seeing her reaction, I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. I reached out to clasp the necklace around her neck. As my fingers brushed against her skin, a wave of warmth flooded through me, making me realize how much I cared for her.

I could feel her shiver and hum a bit that I instantly carved for her touch; her skin and her brown hair cascaded like a waterfall; as soon as Cassandra stared at me. Before I could speak, she pulled away from me, and she gasped towards her friend, "Kia!" "I know! I shouldn't have done that." Kia playfully rolled her eyes; they hugged before Aya was also pulled into it by telling her something about female stuff that I did not want to be involved in.

I was surprised when Hal Jordan arrived with a woman, Carol, who had previously refused the Star Sapphires ring. Hal was hosting a celebration for his niece, Cassandra, and I respected him despite feeling a bit cold towards him. Once Carol had left, Hal began to speak to me. "I can tell that necklace was very generous of you to give my niece, you know?" Hal said. I scoffed and asked why he insisted I be there.

He reminded me that it was Cassie who had kissed me and that I had kissed her back. He expressed his protectiveness towards her and mentioned that he had known I liked her since I joined them. I was shocked and leaned against the wall while listening to him. Hal assured me that he was happy for Cassie and didn't mind us being together. He was pleased to see her so happy and excited.

That's when I noticed all the species from other planets were coming out of their rooms to celebrate, whereas I walked away to the back where no one could see me, while I stared at Cassandra swaying to the loud music. Our eyes locked, and at that moment, she walked over to me before pulling me to the center of the room, where the light glowed above us. Everyone had already moved away from us when soft music played, which was unfamiliar to me.

We both blushed as I hesitantly began to hold her hand and waist while dancing with Cassandra. She started to tell me the name of the song "All of Me." With every step I took, she looked down, and I gently lifted her chin and whispered, "Do not look down... focus on me." "I guess my dancing lessons worked wonders on you," she nervously told me. I smiled and leaned in closer, whispering, "Happy Birthday, Cassandra. I'm glad to be here celebrating with you."

She smiled warmly at me, and before I knew it, she leaned onto my chest so she could hear my heart beating without any effort. I couldn't contain myself from wrapping my arms around her before I hesitantly asked, "May I kiss your cheek?... If you are not certain about it then we can just-" "Razer... you have my permission." Cassandra cut me off; I widened my eyes before staring at her lips a little longer before slowly kissing her cheek without caring about the sounds around us.

Six days later... Location: Sector 2814, Earth.

The galaxy was vast and full of stars.

Hal Jordan's niece, Cassandra, has been having trouble sleeping lately. She has not rested well despite taking a break from her space adventures and celebrating her graduation/birthday with Razer and Aya. This is because she has been distracting herself with her job as a secretary at Wayne Enterprises. Her job involves doing paperwork and teaching alien refugees how to speak English and other languages so that they can survive on Earth. She also helps them find a home at the Codelight Club.

After graduating from NYC College and celebrating her birthday, Cassandra felt tempted to see Razer again, and the flashback of the necklace and kiss he gave her left a sign of longing again. So, she transformed into her blue lantern suit and exited her bedroom. She began to fly around Coast City, releasing her heart as if it were a musical. However, Cassandra's growing feelings for Razer caused her mind to swirl. She started singing a lullaby she had made for herself while thinking about him every night on Earth.

"ᴵᵗ ⁱˢ ᵉˣᵖᵉᶜᵗᵉᵈ, ᵃⁿ ᵒᵃᵗʰ ᵇʸ ᵇˡᵒᵒᵈ ᵗᵒ ʰᵒˡᵈ ᵗʰᵉ ᵗᵒᵐᵉ

Cassandra sighs in frustration and sadness when she sees her reflection of herself while touching the water with her gloved hand before leaving a bit farther away from it, and she immediately floats slowly upwards to the moon while using her ring to construct a bridge of stairs while hugging herself and continue to sing.

"I'm not sure how to tell you, Razer. How do you tell someone 'I love you' when you still don't know what we are... just tell me?" After reaching the top of the moon, she meditates and finds herself at the center of her mind. Meanwhile, Cassandra notices a light red thread on her finger. As she does so, she begins to glow with a blue aura and turns around to see Razer standing with his back to her:

"ᵁⁿˡᵉˢˢ ⁱᵗ'ˢ ᵐᵉ, ᵃⁿᵈ ⁿᵒ ᵐᵃᵗᵗᵉʳ ʷʰᵃᵗ ⁱⁿ ᵗʰⁱˢ ʷᵒʳˡᵈ ᴵ ᶜᵒᵘˡᵈ ᵍⁱᵛᵉ

She breathed shakily and cried to herself before flying back towards the Earth but stopped before she fell on her knees with her thread still intact but never breaking from her, feeling the longing for closure to sink in, but as Cassandra wanted to give up hope, she paused and clenched her fist:

"ᴵ ʷⁱˡˡ ᵗʳʸ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵃᵏᵉ ᵃᵐᵉⁿᵈˢ, ᶠᵒʳ ᵐᵃᵏⁱⁿᵍ ʸᵒᵘ ᵐᵉᵃⁿˢ ᵗᵒ ᵃⁿ ᵉⁿᵈ

ᴵᶠ ʸᵒᵘ'ˡˡ ˢᵗᵃʸ, ᵃⁿᵈ ʲᵘˢᵗ ˢᵃʸ...

"ᴸᵒᵒᵏ ᵐʸ ʷᵃʸ [ˣ³]"

She enters her room and slowly watches the moon go down entirely. She transforms back into her pajamas and slowly sleeps, never knowing Cassandra has kept her emotions in check. One, she was still worried that when she met Razer again, he might not have feelings for her like before. Little did Cassandra know that he was having the same problem.

Confessions are one way they know how to say it... they don't know how to explain or tell each other that they are a couple.

A/N: THIS SONG IS SO SAD!!!!!!
