After taking a rest in Mossdeep City, a great rumble rocks the city, and a giant pillar of green and yellow light is seen bursting up from the sea to the south.

"What is going on here?" Max asks.

"Is that a pillar of light appearing from the sea?" Minami asks.

"That direction... it's the direction of Route 128!" Mark says.

The crowd is also packing after seeing the whole thing, and I mutter, "No way..."

"There you are!" We turn to see Steven rushing over to us. "Guys! I heard from Liza and Tate that you visited their Gym. I was thinking of trying to catch you while you were in the area, but then this happened... ... We should talk. Let's go to my place."

We nod as we rush to their house, I ask, "Where is Luke?"

"Luke is staying with my parents in Rustboro City. But we have a problem here." Steven says. "Now, where to begin... Let us take a moment to understand what is happening to our world right now. The rumbling that shook the earth right now... The eardrum-rupturing explosion we heard... They are proof that a seal, which was long hidden deep undersea, has been undone at last."

Alice says, "You don't mean..."

"The super-ancient Pokémon that has been sealed deep beneath Route 128 since ancient times... It slept until now in the Seafloor Cavern. The entrance to that cavern was sealed by the power of a certain Pokémon, all in an effort to keep any human or Pokémon from ever breaching it. But now it appears that the scheming of those terrible teams has undone the seal. There is no doubt that they intend to revive the super-ancient Pokémon. And once they do so, it seems they hope to make its power their own."

"Team Magma and Team Aqua..." I mutter.

"If those teams obtain the power of the super-ancient Pokémon, it will upset the balance of nature in this world. A crisis unlike any other before it will befall every living thing on this planet. I plan to do everything in my power to quell this situation. That is my duty. But there is a limit to what I can do with my power alone... That is why I am asking for your help. I have great faith in your abilities. Lend me your strength to put a halt to these Teams' mad ambitions! With you and I and our Pokémon all working together, we will overcome this disastrous turn of events. I don't think it is out of the question."

"You're right. We have to stop the teams from getting Kyogre and Groudon!" I say.

"I will entrust you with this." Then he gives us the HM that we need, the HM for Dive.

"If you use Dive, you will be able to dive to the ocean floor with your Pokémon. And take this so you can stay with your Pokémon even in the depths of the ocean..."

We also receive the Devon Scuba Gears from him, and May asks, "So where are we going then?"

"If you were to use Dive in the correct stretch of water along Route 128... I believe you should be able to reach the entrance to the Seafloor Cavern. I will join you when I finish my duties. Please do what you can to stop Team Aqua and Team Magma until then. I am trusting you to do this for me!"

After getting to Route 128, we notice Team Magma's submarine. Mark asks, "There is Team Magma's submarine. The one they stole from Captain Stern..."

I say, "I think there's one thing we can do... we will have to face them."

Then we decide to sneak into the ship, but we are eventually found by Team Magma and are brought to their leader, Maxie. Tabitha and Blaise are beside him, so I wonder where Courtney is... Maxie says, "So you've even come this far here. That sure is surprising."

"Yes, and we're here to stop you from doing something rash." I say, "I know you and Team Aqua aren't friends, but we're not going to let you get the super ancient Pokemon."

"You mean this?" Maxie says as we notice that it is a Kyogre. "A Kyogre? But I thought you were looking for Groudon..." Mark says.

"Having Kyogre is useless to us. But I think perhaps it will be helpful to ruin Team Aqua's plan. And then we just found out some disturbing news." Maxie says. "A bunch of people in white cloaks have their hands on Groudon."

"White cloaks?" If I have to assume, that means Team Alpha manages to take Groudon before either Maxie or Archie can do it... but why didn't they also take Kyogre with them?

"Regrettably, this Red Orb can only control a Groudon and even return it to its primal state. Team Aqua also has a Blue Orb, which does the same thing only to Kyogre."

"And we both know you steal the orbs from Mt. Pyre, and that's why we're here to stop you." I say.

"So long have I waited for this day... Immeasurably long! This foolish world has held back humanity's progress out of misguided idealism regarding the coexistence of humans and Pokémon. But Groudon can bring that to its rightful end, creating a new land upon which humanity may stride freely forward. And now, you are the final obstacle remaining between me and my goals. It behooves me to use every tool at my disposal to eliminate you. Indeed! Even Mega Evolution! Do not delude yourself that you and your Pokémon are the only ones capable of it. I must apologize for making you wait through our encounters at Mt. Chimney and Mt. Pyre without treating you to this sight. Brace yourself for my ultimate attack! Fuhahaha!"

Then Maxie and I have a battle, and this time he is going to use the Mega Camerupt against us aside from Mightyena, Weezing, and a Crobat. I am the one battling while the others are battling the other members of Team Magma. And it is during our battle that our Sealeo evolves into a Walrein that we manage to defeat Maxie's Mega Camerupt.

Walrein: The Ice Break Pokemon: Ice and Water Type. Evolve from Sealeo at LV:44. Walrein's two massively developed tusks can totally shatter blocks of ice weighing ten tons with one blow. This Pokémon's thick coat of blubber insulates it from subzero temperatures.

"You've really done it, child. You've shown a power that exceeds that of the great Maxie!" Maxie says while kneeling to the ground after his defeat, and he suddenly laughs, "Hah... Hah... Hahhh... ... Ah. Aha... Fuhahaha... Kahahahaha! GAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Splendid. Just splendid, my young Trainer. No, it is more than that! I should be calling you my young hero! Believing until the very end that a world where humanity and Pokémon coexist must be the best... Rejecting my ideals without a second thought... Yes, watching you struggle desperately to halt the beginning of the world's end... You are undoubtedly a hero! So noble... And yet. I will not yield! I will not bend! My ideals will not be shaken! My dream for the world's next step forward will never change! I will use the Red Orb to awaken Groudon, revert it to its primal form, and put an end to all else!"

"That is if you can take the Red Orb." I say while I have Pikachu grab the Red Orb.

"No, you don't! Mightyena!" Blaise tries to stop us, but with Absol covering Pikachu, he finally grabs the Red Orb, but the Red Orb starts glowing and now it is absorbing into Pikachu's body.

"Pikachu..." I gasp in surprise as Pikachu now crying in pain before hitting all the Pokemon with a Thunderbolt.

"Pikachu!" I yell while holding Pikachu in my hands, but before Maxie and the others can continue, the wall breaks open and Team Aqua has arrived. Archie is the one leading and there is Amber and Shelly, Matt is also absent as well.

"Bwahahaha! You're looking pretty pathetic now, aren't you? The great Maxie!" Archie mocks, and Maxie mutters, "Archie... you..."

"Well, if it isn't my little adversaries! I can't even find the words to praise you as you deserve. Thank you for defeating Team Magma for me. Sometimes it's best to keep things simple. All I'll say is you met my expectations, scamps!"

"Hold on! We're not defeating Team Magma just for you to take Kyogre, and we're going to stop you as well!" I say as we are also prepared to fight them.

"I've been waiting so long for this day to come. We humans have disregarded Pokémon and nature both in our endless pursuit of our own desires and needs... And in the process, we've created this broken and disordered world... But this is the day when I finally obtain the power to return everything to how it once was―to return to our beginnings! Now that I can release the ancient power! The ancient power of Primal Kyogre!"

"As if we'll let you." I say as we stand in front of Kyogre.

"And now, you are the last token resistance that's trying to ruin my day. I'll use everything my team and I have to crush you once and for all! Oh? And...Mega Evolution? Did ya think that you and your Pokémon are the only ones who can use it? Let me show you now what I didn't get the chance to show you at Mt. Chimney... This is the true power of my team! GRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Then he is using Mightyena, Muk, Crobat, and Mega Sharpedo to battle. But with Pikachu being controlled by the Red Orb, the attacks just destroy his team and the other Team Aqua's Pokemon with ease.

"Like I figured..." Archie says before giving out a laugh, "Hah... Hah... Ahh... ... Ah. Aha... Ahahahaha... Bwahahahahahaha! Bwaha! AHAHAHAHAHA! Perfect! You're just as great as any little hero trying to save the world oughta be! But it changes nothing! I can't give up now! I can't! I WILL use the power of this Blue Orb to awaken Kyogre at last! Then I'll return everything in this world to its original, pure state! Now! AWAKEN, KYOGRE! RETURN EVERYTHING TO THE WAY IT WAS! Kyogre! Absorb all the power resting in this Blue Orb, and reclaim yourself! Revert to your primal form! This is the time to take back the great Evolution you lost in the ancient past!"

Just then, much to our surprise, the Blue Orb is glowing and now Kyogre is awakened from its deep slumber. Then it disappears out of sight. May asks, "Where did it go?"

"Obviously... Kyogre is now out of the cavern... into the surface..." I say.

"Bwahahahaha! At last... AT LAST! I've finally done it! It hasn't even finished reversion, and it still has this much power! With this I can return everything to its natural beginning! It's time at last!" Archie laughs.

"What... what have you done?" Alice mutters.

"Archie. It appears you have made a grave error regarding Kyogre's powers." Maxie says.

"What did you say?" Archie asks.

"The "beginning" that Primal Kyogre brings about... The way that it resets the world... It starts by driving every living thing on this planet to death first! This path leads only to an inescapable despair that cannot be withstood. That is all you have brought us. This is what comes of the madness of thinking that you could ever control the super-ancient Pokémon's power!" Maxie says.

"Ridiculous! Team Magma will be disbanded today, and Team Aqua will be the ruler of the world. Or else I can have Kyogre destroy everything while you stand there!"

Maxie grits his teeth, and I say, "Right now, we have to get out of here..."

Then the six of us are trying to leave, but Maxie notices us and yells, "Tabitha! Blaise! Get that Pikachu!"

Then they start to chase after us, but just when we arrive at the surface, we are met with heavy rain. Pikachu's Thunderbolt is shocking all of us, and Mark says, "This is not good! With that heavy rain and the electricity! We're going to be doomed!"

"Guys! Come on!" We notice a Team Magma grunt rushing to us. I yell, "Back off! There's no way we're going to have you take Pikachu!"

"Don't worry, it's me." I am surprised to see that Mom is the one who takes off the disguise. "Mom?!" Minami gasps.

"I'm undercover trying to stop Team Magma and Team Aqua. Team Alpha manages to get Groudon away, but we weren't able to get Kyogre because Team Magma has arrived." My Mom says.

"Mom, what about Pikachu?" I ask.

"Yes, the Pikachu has touched with the Red Orb, right?" My Mom asks, "You see, the Blue and Red Orbs can control both Kyogre and Groudon, but any living beings come into contact with those two orbs for too long, their amazing powers will overcome the mind!"

"No way..." Alice says.

"Even humans need to be careful handling them. Since your Pikachu is a small Pokemon, it most likely was unable to resist the energy of the orb." My Mom says.

"So what do you think is going to happen with Pikachu?" I ask, now in a panic.

"Don't worry, I promise you I'll find a way to break Pikachu's bond with the Red Orb." My Mom says.

It is then Team Magma and Team Aqua have rushed out of the cave, but Archie is not there. My Mom puts back the hood again, but it seems they aren't seeing us.

I'll end the first part here, things are getting more serious and what is going to happen with the Groudon and Kygore? I hope you like this chapter.
