"My lady." Kako sat up in her bed. It was the middle of the night. "Yes Itia?" Itia cautiously crept into the den. "My lady, it's time to meet Frost." "Ah yes," she replied. "Come, let's go."

They walked out of camp, nodding to Bryo as they left. When they reached the hill that looked over the Forest Skulk they immediately saw Frost's white pelt. She was sneaking out the entrance. There was a guard, but it was sleeping.

Kako and Itia crept down the hill. When Frost spotted them, her face brightened. "Kako!" She whispered. "You came!" "Of course I came. I'm a fox of business." Frost nodded. "I have the information you wanted, and some new recruits."

Five vixens came out of the Skulk, some excited, others nervous. "Good. Follow me." Said Kako and they started toward her home. "Hey!" A voice yelled from the entrance of the Skulk. Kako whirled around. There, standing right in front of them, was a mottled brown and white male fox.

Frost hissed. The dog came up to them. "Mother! Where are you going?" Frost slashed her claws across his face. When he looked up, his face was full of shock. "Mother!" "You are no son of mine." She growled. "No son of mine would every try to maim their sister." Itia bristled.

Itia had come to be very good friends with Tami over the time she had stayed with them and had grown an immense hatred for anybody who had wronged her. "So," said Kako. "You must be Molt. Tami's oldest brother." She looked over at Frost. "Shall we take care of him for you?"

Molt was shaking. "What? Mother! W..what?" Frost walked up to her son and glared at him. "I already said, you are no son of mine. Nor is Oak. Maple, I mean Tami, is a better, and nobler, fox then you." Frost slashed her claws across her sons face once again.

Itia crept forward, clawing at the dog. He shrunk back against the blows of the furious vixen. Molt ran toward the Skulk. A flame red vixen kept after him. She jumped on top of the dog. They wrestled for awhile and then, the vixen was on top of him.

"This" she growled "Is for my sister." And she snapped his neck.

The vixen stepped off of him, pushing his body away. Kako went up to the vixen, impressed. "Well done young warrior." The female looked up at her new leader. "Thank you. He deserved it." Her eyes went dark. "He killed my sister. When we first joined the Skulk, he killed her because she wouldn't be his mate."

"Come on. Lets get back to camp." Kako ordered.

When they got there, everyone congratulated them on their success. They all gathered around the meeting tree to hear the news. "We have some new recruits. Everyone please welcome these brave vixens. They shall be givin their jobs, but first, they must be given new names."

She looked down at the vixens below the tree. "Frost, you have suffered much through your life. Since you are expecting you may have one of the easiest jobs. You will be a kit watcher. Your new name will be Nia." Tami ran up to her mother and congratulated her.

"Next, you" she said to the flame colored vixen. "What is your name?" "Red." "Red, you fought bravely against the dog who was going to give us away. You seek revenge on your sister and on all those you have wronged you. You shall be a warrior. Your new name will be Navari." Navari lifted her head, her bright green eyes glowing with pride.

The others were named. Kali was named a guard, Asteri was given border patrol, Komma was named a hunter, and Parda was given the job of healer.

The next morning, Kako awoke to the sound of screams. She shot out of her den. "What's happening?" She yelled. Fylla ran up to her. "Nia is kitting. Parda is there and so is Tami and Navari." Kako nodded. "Who is guarding camp right now?" "Bryo and Kali." "Good. We will send out a hunting patrol. Go get Itia for me."

Fylla nodded and ran off. Kako sighed. She went to her family's den. "Kakori, Kakos, Kryo, Geraki, Falco." Her family shot up. "What is it mother?" Asked Geraki. He was the youngest, but by far the nicest. He had light brown fur and amber eyes. She had already picked out a nice vixen for him, and a dog just in case, to be his mate when he grew up.

Then there was Kryo. She was a good hunter, but not the best fighter or leader. Kako had observed her behavior and found out that she liked vixens. That was fine. She could find whoever she liked. As long as they made her happy. Her pelt was black with white ear tips and wild yellow eyes.

Kakos was the second oldest. She was one of the best border patrol foxes. She had already found a nice dog to be her mate and would soon claim a den with him. She was extremely vicious and usually went out at night to look for trespassers. Her pelt was jet black and her eyes an indigo color.

Last, there was Kakori. Her eldest daughter. Kakori had great leadership qualities and excelled in everything from guard duty to fighting to hunting. She preferred border patrol with her sister though. Her pelt was also jet black, but her eyes were a sharp amber, similar to her own yellow eyes. She was smart and Kako knew she could entrust her with the rule of the League when she died.

Her mate, Falco, was light brown with light blue eyes. He was the perfect mate for her. He was submissive and was perfectly content with doing whatever Kako wanted. He also was a terrible fighter and hunter, so he mainly stayed in camp helping out with the chores.

"Falco, I need you to help the new recruits settle in. Geraki, why don't you go hunting. Kryo, you can join him. Kakos and Kakori, there's a border patrol going out soon, would you like to join?" Her daughters nodded eagerly. "Alright then. Lets get to work. We have to prepare for a possible attack once the Skulk foxes find the dog's body."

As she walked out of the den, she saw Parda heading out of Nia's den. She walked over to the vixen. "How is she?" "Great! Two kits! A dog and a vixen." Kako nodded "Good, is she accepting visitors right now?" "I think so."

Kako stepped into the den and the smell of milk flooded her nose. "Hello Nia." Nia looked up in surprise. "Oh! Kako! You've come to see the kits I suppose." Kako nodded. "New life is good for the League. Have you named them yet?"

Nia nodded. "I named the vixen Drosia, after my sister, and the dog Arsen." Kako gazed down at the kits. "Well, I'm happy for you."
