Sera walked off from the stand and made her way to a library, she may not have been as high class as the other slaves, but she at least knew how to read and write... Somewhat...

As she walked in her eyes widened at the sight of all the scrolls sitting on different shelves. There were so many, so, what she was looking for had to be here.

"My queen, what are you doing here?"

'Research. Since you won't tell me anything, I might as well look to the source of knowledge.'

She heard Amdusias sigh, "fine but don't tell them what you're looking for... No one must know..."

'Why? Can you at least tell me this time?'

She growled as Amdusias' voice faded once again. She sighed and looked back to all the scrolls she had to look through, this was going to take a while...

~2 hours later

All kinds of scrolls were sitting on the table and still, nothing was found. They might as well be as tall as a mountain by this point, it was going to be a pain in the ass to put them all back in their proper places.

She even went as far as to read the book about Sinbad. Which was quite ridiculous might she add. Since when do seven colored lights appear when someone's born? Not mention the "beauties of the seven seas". That was part was the most ridiculous thing she'd read.

Last time she'd check the "beauties of the seven seas" weren't a thing. She rolled her eyes and tossed the scroll aside.

She then went back to the shelves to search again. She bent down and shifted through several of them.

She dug even further to find half her body on the shelf. 'Why is this shelf so deep?' She thought.

Sera finally found the edge of it and noticed that a part of the wall was loose. Her eyes widened, it was a trap door.

She reached both her hands in and shifted it to the side, it got stuck at some points because of how old it was.

Once it was opened there wasn't a scroll inside, but a dusty book. Her brows scrunched. How weird...

She took it out and crawled out of the shelf. She looked down at the book, the title didn't seem very legible and it seemed really, really old.

She blew on the dust and sneezed as the it tickled her nose. She stood up and hugged it to her chest so no one would see it.

She sat down on the table and swiped the scrolls that were in the way.

She put down the book with a slight thud and opened it to see very long passages.

She sighed, this was going to take a while.

~an hour later

Sera was frustrated. She understood every word in the book, but no matter how many times she read the sentence, it always cut off.

'Bathsheba was a close person to the wise King Solomon, she was known to be his-'

The word that was there was burned out as if the book was either caught in a fire or someone burned it out, as if they wanted no one to know.

She growled and slammed the book shut, 'Amdusias! Speak to me now!'

"What is it, my Queen?"

'You should already know, tell me who Bathsheba is now!'

She heard a sigh, "I'm not at liberty to say... I'm sorry."

'Damnit Amdusais! Why not?!'

His voice faded. Her fists clenched. In her anger she hid the book under her dress and stormed out, leaving the mess of scrolls behind.

Sera took off the hood once she came back to the company. She rubbed her hair to tidy it up a bit and to get the weird feeling of it being under a hood out.

Before she could even take a step further, Sinbad was in her face. "Where were you?" He asked.

"I was walking around Balbadd. Problem?" She pushed passed him and went upstairs.

She was held back by someone grabbing her shoulder, her ears twitched. "Yes?" She asked irritability.

"... I'm sorry."

"Oh? For what?" She turned to see Sinbad gazing at the floor, guilty.

"For telling you to forget. It wasn't my place to say."

She smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, but I still wanna kick your ass." She chuckled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

He perked and smirked. "Don't think anything of it and calm down your hormones," she said.

She left and made her way upstairs. She went up to her room and closed the door.

She walked over to her bed and fell down on it with a slight creek. She sat up and got the book that she hid out.

She opened it and looked through it again. Nothing. The same damn scentence was still cut off, it was almost as if she expected the missing word to appear.

She groaned and hid the book under her pillow. 'Amdusias, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier... I'll stop asking, with the way things are going it's not like destiny wants me to know what all this means..'

And with that, she laid down and fell asleep.
