Groaning and complaining were the only sounds heard as the seven friends try to pick themselves up.

"Kendal, your butt is in my face!"

"Get your face outta my boobs, Emma!"

"Okay! Whose leg keeps rubbing against my crotch?!"

"Quit crushing my bladder!"

The girls finally manage to pull themselves out of the tangled mess of limbs without any major injuries. "Ugh, where are we?" Lauren asks. "If I remember correctly, Kendal jumped into a giant hole in the side of a mountain and we decided to follow after her." Jen says. "You know what? Let's explore! In case you guys haven't noticed, there is a hallway over there. I wanna go see what's around here!" Neko exclaims, trying to defuse the suddenly rising tension. A few of the girls send small, teasing glares at Kendal, but they all stand.

Neko looks around and spots a small hallway in the darkness. "Over here." She leads the group down the hallway and through an ornate doorway, only to be stopped by the sound of crying. The girls look around for the source of the noise and Lauren is the one who does. She kneels down, confused as to how a flower can cry, but still attempts to comfort it. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asks. The flower looks up, revealing a goat-like face.

"A human?! No! You need to leave! It's not safe here for you!" The flower shouts, gathering the attention of the others, who went to stand by their friend. "Th-there's more of you?! No, this isn't good!" The flower was panicking, grasping his blossom in the palms of his leaves. Lauren reaches a hand towards the flower, feeling compelled to help it, and begins to stroke it's silky petals, seeming to calm it down. "We're not going to hurt you, we promise." She coos. The flower looks up and, seeing the sincere look in the girls' eyes, gave a weak smile.

"It's not you that I'm worried about. It's the rest of the underground. I know you won't hurt me, but you never know what a monster is thinking anymore." It says, flourishing its leaves like a person waving their hands around when they try to make a point. "Wait, what? Monsters? Where are we? While I'm in state of mind, who are you?" Neo asks. "Yes, monsters. We're underneath Mt. Ebott, the kingdom of monsters. I'm..." The flower trails off, thinking. "Technically, I'm Dante, the prince of monsters, but not really. Just call me Flowey, please." He says. "You said Mt. Ebott?" Neko asks. Flowey nods. "Guys, I remember reading about this place in middle school! People thought it was a major homicide hotspot because people, mostly young children, kept disappearing, but nobody ever found any bodies." The cat-ear headband wearing female explains. "Nope, no human committing murder. Just the king killing kids to break the barrier." Flowey mumbles something after, but he shakes his blossom and looks back at the girls.

"You all need to learn how the underground works. Can I show you?" He asks. The girls nod and suddenly the works around them turns black. Four ghosty orange buttons and a colored heart appears in front of each of them. A cyan one for Emma, an orange one for Neo, a dark blue one for Karma, a purple one for Jen, a green one for Lauren, a yellow one for Neko, and a red one for Kendal. Flower mumbles something that sounds like, "Maybe they can..." He shakes his blossom and smiles. "So you see that heart? That's your SOUL. It's the very culmination of your being. Its really weak right now, but you can make it stronger by earning a monster's love. You can hit anything during a FIGHT, otherwise you'll lose HP. Try dodging these bullets." Flowey waves his leaves and a volley of seed-like bullets rush towards the girls' souls. They all manage to move their soul, although Kendal almost gets hit.

The girls cheer as Flowey just stares in amusement. A new female voice startles them. "Dear children, get away from that weed! He is dangerous!" The group looks around and Jen is the one to spot a tall, elf-woman standing in the doorway to the next room. "Humans, you need to run. Don't trust her. I'll meet you at the end of the RUINS. Go!!" Flowey yells as he disappears into the ground.

"You heard him! Go!" Neo barks and the group takes off, pushing past the elf. "Children, wait! I only wish to help!" She shouts. The group just keeps going, not entirely knowing where to go.
