Neil could not process what was happening. After leaving avni he had come back straight home and a little while back his head started swooning. So much so that he had to sit down on the couch. He tried getting a glass of water but he was not sure if he could pour it out. It was almost as if he was floating and very light but could not control his muscles.

Next he remembered was door bell ringing. He thanked God it was avni and relieved he went to open the door. Only as he was trying to open the door he recalled that why would avni ring the bell. She had taken a second entrance key with her! But by that time the door was open. He remembered being extremely surprised at seeing riya there. But it was all hazy after that. Riya was pushing him back and he could not control his movements.

He remembered sinking down as if falling in some deep space. Next thing he knew he was on the bed! And riya was above him. Even in that state Neil was repulsed. He saw Riya's lips moving and saying something that sounded like -'I'll...destroy..her..'

Neil remembered panicking and trying to push her away. Only he was doing it in his mind. It was all like a very bad dream that was not going away. He tried getting up but the more he got up the more he sank down..

Next he saw Riya taking off her clothes. Neil was aghast, this could not be happening! He could only think of avni and tried pushing riya away! Only riya held him tighter this time. Neil had realized by this time he had been drugged. He didn't know how or when but it was clear that he was very weak right now. He was not sure in which state avni was and in this state he just mentioned one word that infuriated riya and she tore off his shirt and tried to force herself upon him even more.

Neil had said -"Avni..avni.."

In sometime he felt riya get off him and felt much lighter. Also he was having a very bad headache by now. He looked up and thought he saw avni. Soon he had to put his head down in his hands as it was hurting so much.

Neil called for avni. This time possibly avni heard him as he felt her arms holding him.

As soon as riya had left avni had looked and rushed towards Neil. She had heard Neil talking her name!

Avni held Neil's chin to check.

Avni -"Neil. Are you feeling OK? Here take some water..pls drink it!"

Neil felt avni trying to give him something to drink and he had it without any second thoughts. Even in this state he trusted her implicitly. He wanted to say something to avni. He knew she would have been hurt by seeing riya with him in this state! But all that came out of his mouth then was -"Avni..main..waiting for u..riya bad..drugged?.."

Avni held Neil's face in both her hands and said -"Neil. Don't explain anything right now. In fact don't even think of anything. Bas lie down and try to let it pass.."

Avni tried to put Neil down but he was probably resisting. Neil said -"Riya...be careful..avni riya.."

Avni wanted to comfort Neil over this and she said -"Neil..Neil...riya is not longer here..I've let her out..also I am safe. You don't worry pls. Pls lie down. You need to rest."

Neil lied down but kept on murmuring -"Avni..Maine..maine nahi kiya..I don't know."(I didn't do it..)

Avni needed to calm Neil down. So she lied down beside him and held him very close to her.

Avni, looking at Neil -"i know you didn't do anything. I know you can't do this sort of thing. I trust you much more than this. Maine apni life mein itna trust kisi pe nahi kiya Neil. Pata Hai na tumhe. But Neil if you worry and don't recover right now then how will my Neil take care of me again? I want to see you OK very soon.."(..I've not trusted anyone so much in my life Neil. You know this right...)

Neil calmed down at this. She didn't know if he was registering what she spoke. But the hug definitely made him calm down. Neil closed his half closed eyes completely and slept. Avni held him close for sometime and then got up to research on side effects of muscle relaxants. She decided if Neil showed any worrisome symptoms after he got up. Then she would take him to the hospital. As of now all she could do was to just wait. Neil didn't show symptoms of overdosing but clearly riya had given him a strong dose.

Avni clenched her teeth in anger. She swore she will teach riya a lesson for hurting her husband. Riya had used Neil just to hurt avni. And avni didn't have anyone besides Neil in this world. She could not allow anyone to harm him..
