1871, thirteen years after the events of 'Once Upon a Time'

Alice and her mother got down from the horse-carriage to attend Lord Ascot's garden party. There were a lot of people there and everyone was having fun, except for Alice. She went to get a cup of tea, however everyone started heading to a different area. Confused, Alice abandoned her idea of a drink as she followed the crowd.

She caught several glances at a white rabbit holding a pocket watch and had the urge to follow him, but many interruptions occurred. Everyone stopped when they reached a circle shaped garden with white roses and a raised platform in the middle. The people parted to allow Alice to stand on the platform with Hamish Ascot facing her. He held Alice's hands and bent down on one knee.

"Alice Kingsleigh," he said, "will you be my wife?"

Alice felt everyone's eyes on her. They were desperate for her approval. Looking at the crowd and at Hamish, she began her response.

"Well, everyone expects me too and you're a Lord," she answered. She took a brief pause before continuing again.

"I may not get this chance again. But this is happening so quickly," she added.

Hamish was shocked and no one had expected this to happen. Alice looked at the white rabbit gesturing to his ticking pocket watch and found the perfect way to escape the situation.

"I think I need a moment," she requested before running after the white rabbit.

She was happy and surprised that no one decided to follow her. She raced after the white rabbit, not caring where she was going. There were bushes and a lot of grass on the path the rabbit had taken. That did not stop her. After chasing the rabbit, Alice noticed that it went through a hole in a large tree. She bent towards the hole. She tried calling the rabbit, however no one responded. When she leaned towards the hole too much, the dirt where her hand was beginning to crumble, and Alice fell into the hole.
