'Hey Serena, how long till dinner?' Bonnie shouted as he watched television. They were in vanville town, home of Serena's home where she spent most of her childhood barring the summer camp in Pallet Town. 'It's ready, you can come get it, get Max and Clemont as well' Serena shouted from the kitchen.

Bonnie stood up and walked into the front yard where Max was battling Clemont. 'Luxray finish it with Thunder fang' Clemont shouted. Luxray's fangs grew white with sparks of electricity spewing out. It bit Sceptile in the shoulder and it shrieked in pain. Luxray pulled back and the grass type fell down. 'Looks like I lost again' Max said depressed and returned his Pokémon. Clemont walked over to him and put his hands on his shoulder, 'don't feel bad. Your getting better, trust me' Clemont said encouraging Max, 'think of Ash he never gives up' Bonnie said adding to the encouragement. Max smiled at their words, 'thanks guys! Your the best' he said with a huge smile.

'Bonnie what's taking you so long' Serena said walking out to the group. 'Oh they just finished their battle' Bonnie said. 'Okay come in dinner is ready' Serena said walking back into her house, soon followed by the rest.

'This is delicious!' Max said gulping down on his food. 'Max slow down you'll start to choke' Serena said looking at the boy, who was 9 years old.  Max started to cough slightly, Serena started rubbing and patting his back. 'Told you!' Serena said, the others sweat dropped. 'I guess your right' Max said with a sheepish smile on his face.

There was knock on the front door. The electricity went out at the same time. Serena hid behind her chair in fear. Clement was the bravest one to reach for the door. There was a muffled voice outside, 'Damn it, Pikachu use thunderbolt on that thing' next thing you know the power was switched back on. Clemont opened the door and a man stood there, hooded.

'Hello, sir?' Clemont said. The figure looked up and took down his hood. Everyone stopped what they were doing and gasped at the man.

'Ash!?'

Ash walked in past Clemont who just had his mouth open in shock. Serena ran to him and embraced him in a tight hug. 'Where have you been?' She started crying in his arms. 'You could have contacted us!' Serena said pulling out and looking at him in the eye. 'Sorry I was busy' Ash said rubbing the back of his head. 'For two years?' Serena said getting angry now. 'Sorry' Ash said sweat dropping at his mistake.

He turned his head slightly revealing a scratch on his left eye. 'What happened to you?' Serena said and grabbed his face to examine the wound. Clemont and the others came close to examine the wound as well. 'It looks like someone or something scratched you' Clemont said looking closely. Ash looked at him like he hit the jackpot. 'Who done this?' Serena demanded. 'Can we sit down?' Ash said. Serena nodded but didn't take her eyes of his wound. It looked deep.

'Tell us what happened?' Max said. Everyone nodded and concentrated on Ash expecting his story. 'Well...' Ash started.

*Flashback*

'Pikachu where are you!?' Ash shouted. He looked around in the dark hoping to see the sparks of Pikachu. But it was nowhere to be seen. Ash continued to walk into the darkness hoping for any kind of sign. Ash
Ash turned a corner and felt a punch in the face. 'You think we wouldn't find you Ketchum?' The boy looked to be the same age as Ash. Ash looked up and saw a boy with Blonde hair and approximately the same age and height as him. 'Who are you' Ash spat blood to his left. 'I'm Ethan Tajiri, Team Flares best after our boss, Lysandre' Ethan said proudly. 'Why do you want me so bad and where's my Pikachu' Ash said standing back and tensing his fist. 'Well after your encounter with Arceus, we sensed great power in your Greninja and you. We felt a threat from you so we wanted you to be held captive while we thrive on the worlds destruction' Ethan said laughing like a waste man.

Ash couldn't care less about the situation, 'Where is my Pikachu' He said getting angrier. Ethan smiled malevolently, 'come with me then you'll see your Pika friend.' Ash hesitated but agreed and followed him.

They walked around for five minutes in the dark. 'Your darn Pikachu put out the lights' Ethan said getting frustrated as he couldn't see where he was going and constantly bumped into a wall, Ash just rolled his eyes wondering how stupid the guy is. They then saw a dim of light coming from a room. Ethan smiled which put Ash on the edge knowing it was a trap. He then heard Pikachu's cries, 'Pikachu' Ash said and rushed into the room.

'Turn the bloody lights on or we'll continue to hurt you' A scientist in a red suit said. Pikachu rejected and another flamethrower hit it causing it to shout in pain. 'Pikachu!' Ash shouted, he ran towards Pikachu but a Arcanine pounced on top of him and scratched his eye. Ash screamed in pain. Rolling around. Arcanine was about to pounce again but a voice stopped it, 'Arcanine heel' A man said. He got up from the shadows and walked towards Ash. The Arcanine growled at Ash and went to its master who started to stroke it's fur.

He walked towards Ash and picked him up and dumped him onto his feet. Ash looked at him in distaste. 'I see you are not fond of me' The man spoke looking at Ash. 'My name is Lysandre, and I believe you are Ash' Lysandre said. 'Let my Pikachu go' Ash said fuming. Lysandre walked off, 'not until you tell us what Arceus spoke with you' Lysandre said turning back to Ash.

Ash clenched his fist in anger,'I'm not telling you jack, not until you let my Pikachu go' Ash said with fire in his eyes. Lysandre hesitated, 'look I'll make you a deal, we will guarantee let Pikachu.' Ash didn't buy the bait. He stood firm on the ground looking at Lysandre.

'Nope, I want Pikachu first then I'll tell you' Ash said with fierce, indicating that was his last offer. Lysandre grumbled angrily and nodded at the scientist. He pressed a button and the capsule to Pikachu opened. 'Pika!' Pikachu ran at Ash and jumped in his arms. 'Are you alright?' Ash said looking at Pikachu in the eye. 'Pikachu.' Pikachu said a but sadly, showing the scratches on it's body.

'Well you got what you want, now to return the favour' Lysandre said. 'What's the big deal anyway?' Ash asked. Lysandre laughed, 'it will be essential to us and since your helping us we can give you some rewards,' Lysandre started, 'We can make you invincible and you will not lose a single battle, that's what you dream isn't it' Lynsadre said looking at Ash. For a moment Ash considered it and Lysandre grew happy.

'I've always dreamt that' Ash started. 'Yes, now all you have to do is tell me' Lysandre said in Ash's face getting eager for the information. 'But I can dream a little longer,' Ash backed away and Lysandre had a shocked face, 'Now Lucario' Ash shouted and he disappeared into thin air just as Lysnadre was about to grab him.

*end of flashback*

'Well then I escaped and went straight here' Ash said looking around the house. They all looked at him and felt pity for his eye. 'Ash I'll mend that for you later and you to Pikachu' Serena said worriedly as she looked at their wounds. They managed weak smiles.

'How did you know we were here?' Max asked, everyone nodded as they never told him they were in vanville town. 'I've kept Lucario here as protection, I told him to follow you guys' Ash said. 'Oh okay, thats why no one has come here' Clemont said. Just then Lucario teleported into the house.

'Master, all is clear for tonight' Lucario said. Ash nodded, 'you've done well Lucario now take rest' Ash said and returned him into his PokéBall. 'Well it's late and I'm tired and I'm off to bed' Max said yawning and went upstairs. 'I'm going to tuck Bonnie in bed as well' Clemont said. He picked up Bonnie in his arms and went to his room leaving Ash and Serena and Pikachu alone.

'Well Ash wait here and I'll go get the first aid kit' Serena said before heading into a room. Ash turned to his Pikachu, 'she really is so helpful isn't she?' Ash said petting Pikachu. 'Pika Pikachu!' Pikachu agreed. Serena then walked back into the room with a first aid kit.

'Now sit still Ash, this may sting' Serena said as she applied a liquid onto Ash's wound. Ash moved a little because of the sting but held his ground. Serena then put a tiny plaster on his eye, covering the wound from any harmful bacteria. 'There it should start healing now' Serena said. She turned to Pikachu who smiled weakly at the honey blonde haired trainer.

'Pikachu this may sting a little but it will heal the scratches' Serena said and sprayed the potion on Pikachu's scratch marks. Pikachu winced due to the cause of the pain but it subsided after a few seconds. Pikachu looked around its body and it looked all healed. 'Pikachu!' Pikachu jumped onto Serena's shoulder, 'pika pi' it started rubbing against her cheek. 'Your welcome' Serena said happily. Pikachu then yawned and jumped onto Ash's lap and curled up.

'Ash two years you made me worry. You should have contacted us at-least once' Serena said looking at Ash with worried eyes. 'I'm sorry I know I should have' Ash said and looked away. 'At times I thought- I thought you were dead' Serena said. Ash dropped his head, 'so did I' he managed to say. Serena looked at him in shock, 'you tried to suicide' Serena said and started to shake a little. 'Well I tried but I knew you would be really upset if I did. And that's the last thing I ever do' Ash said trying to lift her spirits. Ash noticed she was shaking. He hugged her and started patting her back. 'Look the past is the past. I'm here now. I'm here with you and that's all that matters kay?' Ash said pulling out. Serena nodded and hugged Ash. 'You really like hugs, huh?' Ash said smiling. Serena hit him playfully. 'I'm joking' Ash said laughing. 'So was I smart ass' Serena said smiling. They leaned in closer and didn't brake eye contact. They went closer and closer until their lips met. They kissed for five seconds before Ash pulled out blushing. 'Sorry I shouldn't have done that' Ash said blushing furiously. 'No it's my fault, I should've asked' Serena said blushing red as a tomato. 'Nah it's fine as long as it's you' Ash said smiling sheepishly. 'T-thanks' Serena said blushing. 'Do you love me?' Serena added. 'One thing I learnt when I went away is that. Yes I love you' Ash said. Serena's face lightened up and kissed him again but this time longer.

They broke apart and looked at each other in the eye. 'I love you' They both said and started kissing again.

'We are going to have to tell the others aren't we' Serena said looking at Ash. Ash nodded and grabbed his shirt to wear. Serena saw three huge claw marks. 'What happened there' Serena said pointing at the scars. 'Oh it happened when I was on the trail to Arceus' Ash said and pulled on his shirt followed by his jacket.

'Well let's go to breakfast' Serena said grabbing her top and followed Ash to the dining room. Clemont and the others were already there eating breakfast. Max spotted the duo walking towards them. Ash and Serena sat down.

'Enjoy your night?' Max said grinning. Ash and Serena blushed, 'you saw?' Serena said embarrassed. 'Everything' Max said adjusting his glasses. 'Um we were going to tell you' Ash started. 'It's about time anyway!' Bonnie exclaimed. The couple looked at her in confusion.

'Well we kinda expected you two to be a thing' Clemont said making it easier to understand. They both nodded and started eating their breakfast.

After a few minutes the letter box opened and a letter fell through it. They looked alarmed. 'That's strange, we never get mail' Serena said. She walked over to the letter and picked it up. She turned it around and saw the initials: " A.Ketchum" written in fancy handwriting. 'Ash it's for you' Serena said holding out the letter. Ash got up and grabbed the letter and scanned it. 'Someone knows our identity' Ash said to Pikachu. 'Your identity?' Serena asked. 'I'll explain later' Ash reassured her.

'Well open it' Bonnie said impatiently. Ash slowly started to tear of the paper and pulled out the letter inside it.

Dear Ketchum,

Well you have been invited to the Battle Royale in Tiffany Islands. It is a battle tournament for special trainers. There are also Pokémon performance and Showcases at the event so if any of your friends are interested bring them along. You are allowed to bring guests that is fine. You will be staying at Shuriken hotel. I have already paid for your accommodations so don't worry. Also don't worry about your identity issue. I have that sorted. Can't wait to meet you again!

Well there you go the 2nd Chapter done! Sorry if you think the confession is really early, I just saw the perfect moment and took it. If you didn't like it, 'haters can hate, potatoes can potate' -Bob. Anyways I hoped you enjoyed this chapter as I enjoyed writing it. Also a heads up, on Friday there will be no chapter as I'm heading to Manchester for the Southampton game so No chapter then, but next day there should be one.
