The sun unfolded its rays with a big yawn fluttering some of its  mist away to peek  just a little and  shower the  dreamers  with its awakening glow while some beings  already wide awake tempting others to rise with their baking for its heavenly  aroma wafted down through several dorm rooms

placing the last freshly cut strawberry on the cupcake Ameera smiled in achievement  proudly glancing  Ashley for their early morning teamwork when the door to their kitchen slid open by a very sleepy Sophie

"42 calls really ?" Sophie still in her night suit barely opened her eyes looking at her two very enthusiastic friends

"why on earth you  look so fresh at this time and what's this delightful fragrance"

"who sleeps when you have a picnic" Ameera chirped gladly  revealing her their creation

"wow, you guys did that! this early? they look delicious and  very appealing" Sophie praised browsing the sweet delicacies adorned with fresh fruits

"Ammy was the motivation really, she woke me up at 4 don't ask how but she did!" Ashley animatedly elaborated making her chuckle

"Now don't tell me you entered the hostel looking like this!" her eyes enlarged taking in Ameera's light pink PJs

"well yeah I wanted to get dressed with you all" she casually responded performing a little twirl to entice sophie's emotions 

"Ameera!!!!" Sophie chided beholding Ammera's serene expressions

"calm down this lady was wrapped up in a massive shawl I could barely point out her tiny face" Ashley defended earning a glare from Ameera at her information

"and how did you get permission to get out this early" Sophie kept a hand on her hip 

"I might have bribed bi Jan who in return bribed Sarfraz uncle who dropped me" she answered her protective friend

"and daniyal?"

"he doesn't really  have to know when elders permit," she said sassily 

"Ammy you are a small packet of trouble " Sophie scolded knowing very well daniyal by now he isn't going to react ordinarily

"anyways stop being a mom"Ameera narrowed her eyes

" yes let's get ready ladies" Ashley pulled her friends towards their dorm 

Gently  Securing  her silver butterfly pin on  front bangs Ameera gave a once over to her attire  deliberately brushing away the sadness rooted deep within and rather focusing on the girl in front  who looked confident, not hollow as she felt 

"how much longer  Ammy?" Sophie played with her phone awaiting for her be ready while Ashley packed away their  delicious creation 

"Just two more minutes" she  responded catching a deep breath  before unlocking the door

It was half-past 6 when Daniyal's raging wheel zoomed past their  gate immersing his tinted car  into a corner square where his group now awaited  his presence

"you are late and made us  tired from waiting " Adnan teased as daniyal emerged from his car

"like I didn't witness you guys coming out a minute ago " daniyal ridiculed assured of his interval

"darn we wanted you guilty "Ahsan chimed at Danial's smirk as they clasped each other's shoulder in  greeting with a nod toward the ladies 

"you look cool" Kiran complimented  adhering to his polo shirt paired with dark shades

"Thanks, Kiran" Ahsan remarked instead

"you too Ahsan" she rolled her eyes 

"where is our Ammy daniyal?" Sana peered through his dim shaded windows

"I thought she would be the first one to jump out of the car first" Ahsan continued

Daniyal gazed away taking his shades off "yeah she was too excited and came early with Sarfraz uncle she apparently had plans with her friends"

"really," Sana asked surprised

"and you let that happen?" Kiran raised her eyebrow in question

" Now that's how we prepare for a trip smart girl" Adnan clarified imparting Kiran with a hint stare, Meanwhile Daniyal responded with a grave nod  gazing at the two huge awaiting  busses

"We have a meeting with the coach "Ahsan reminded daniyal getting off his car hood 

'you guys go ahead I will text Ammy" Sana smiled

"No need they are already here" Kiran tended dryly and in a flash daniyal's eyes skipped towards their hostel entrance promptly locating the person he wanted to see, who seemed completely occupied conversing on her phone speaker as her friends gave their inputs making her laugh assuming Areesha on the call? 

 Daniyal definitely had his concerns of her coming early but for the time being, it's was better not to have this discussion but something was certain since, after night, a breath of relief was released which he never realized he was holding not knowing what her attitude will be towards him but as long as she is doing fine it doesn't matter

"Ammyyy ''Sana chimed ushering her attention towards them as her eyes landed on him snatching her excited smile away

Daniyal profoundly studied her every stance as they inched closer,  meanwhile, her butterfly pin intrusive charming  rays of the early morning sun while his gaze occupied bribing any hidden emotions behind  her eyes which she efficiently concealed avoiding his constant gaze

"I must say your bond with each other makes us realize just how far behind we are in planning "Kiran greeted indicating towards their colour coordinated dressing 

"Ma shaa Allah" Ashley said candidly

"and here I was left waiting for your exciting jump out of the car" Ahsan sighed making them chuckle all the while daniyal's gaze engaged trying to study his partner, 

no dark circles may be concealed? yet her inner puffy line unravelled the story of what could have transpired last night 

"you all look too cute" Sana complimented as they exchanged talks while his gaze captured her deep peach-toned dress gliding around as she conversed with a white cake box in hand 

"Morning you all" Haider and Usman  joined much to his annoyance 

"All ready?"Haider asked with a glowing smile that esteemed his white hoodie 

"Yesss" they all cheered

"Why thank you for bringing them" Haider beamed at the box in Ameera's hand " I will keep them in our food corner" he extended his hands albeit Danial smoothly  stepped ahead safely taking it from her hands and handing it to him

"good enough? " daniyal smiled yet there was an audible warning in that  voice which brought with it a moment of eerie silence

"come on guys lets go" Adnan waived away the sudden air and finally their eyes met for a brief second but at that moment  his stiffness overpowered her complains and she slowly looked away 

"We have to talk to the coach and Ahsan the back row" denial briefed before leaving their site along with Adnan 

"Why are there only two busses?" Ameera surveyed snuggling closer to the girls as the breeze wafted around them  amidst their huge ground covered under artistic autumn leaves 

"because half of the students opted for a football  match instead, how boring right?" Ashley answered enjoying the groups of pupils dispersed all-around their garden 

"let's just say we have many sports lovers here I am just glad our class found out late," Kiran replied 

"you best believe we would have been cheering beside the boys if they had found out earlier" Sana added making them laugh 

Not me Ameera reflected inside 

"let's go, girls, they are calling" She ushered grasping Ameera's hands 

"I am so glad we have a trip together" 

"yeah mee too" Ameera smiled, tucking her loose hair behind as they zoomed past the people towards their awaiting  rides 

"and we all are going on bus no 1?" Ameera questioned  perplexed noticing the faces already  on board 

"yeah " Kiran answered casually before climbing  two steps into the bus with others  meanwhile  Ameera stood rooted 

"Why?" she questioned herself ready to shift to the other awaiting one along with her mates 

"because the other bus is reserved for students who want tranquillity on their way no music no noise" daniyal answered from the back  startling her

"that's not fair" she mumbled composing herself 

"unless you want to travel in serenity" he whispered ushering her to take a step forward yet she refused

"A word Ameera?" Daniyal proposed suddenly as her eyes settled on  his in a complicated strike

"There are already many in my mind daniyal,  can't have more" she plainly denied leaving him in sudden seclusion 

Following a  trivial commotion and typical last-minute arrangements, the bus  smoothly sailed on its route nipping through the chilled breezy morn promising them an ecstatic  venture filled with exotic landscape 

However, one point required  warning to   never ever  travel with seniors especially if you know them because to Ameera bus ride till now seemed no less than comic  torture peculiarly with their choice of loud music including the disappearance  of all of their snacks  and they weren't even halfway yet, doubtlessly  her friends were enjoying their thrilling company except for certain subjects

"one more word from Kiran and I am going to kill her" Ashley gritted making Ameera chuckle

they were seated in the second last row of three Ameera being on the window side while Ashley in the mid and Sophie peacefully  gliding through her book as well joining in the conversations from time to time 

while all their senior crew leisurely behind them 5 on the seats of 7 and Danial much to her luck  exactly behind Ameera

while Kiran every now and then elaborating how they were  so used to going on trips and how immature juniors are

"it's alright Ashy let them be"Ameera passed on of her earphone with a wink making her chuckle

"you know last time" Kiran started yet again but Haider jumped in to save their day earning the most respectful smile from the trio

"My mom made some fresh croissants your favourite he looked at them" while Ashley expressed her gratitude of saving them from Kiran's torture

"they are always amazing "Ameera praised picking  one from the  tray as its warm  aroma filled the air around as it passed on to others everyone had their share except for daniyal who denied and Haider moved ahead to pass on to others 

"Ameera was just about to taste the crispy goody when the croissant was taken away leaving her perplexed

"on the other hand the aroma is too enticing I might as well have it, you can have my sandwich Danial haughtily offered acquiring her icy stare as others chuckled at his impish gesture 

"you can share mine" Sophie offered as well  Sana and Ashy

"no I wasn't hungry anyway" Ameera placed his given sandwich aside 

"daniyal what is this behaviour" Adnan scolded 

"what are cousins for?" he shamelessly bit into her croissant giving her the most mischievous look in return of her severe one as she settled back into her seat 

Despite being angry  her eyes gradually wandered outside immediately calming her as the wind rushed against thick wild trees, amidst leaves who sang  along with a friendly rhythm faraway a delicate painting of mountains ducked under a fog  by nature's soft blanket and  she couldn't stop but open her window just a little to get her share of  hazy fresh mist

"it's lovely" Ashley smiled zoned in as well when her window was suddenly shut close from behind 

"Daniyal!!!" Ameera gritted gently and it was no hidden from anyone that something had been off between the two today 

"you will catch a cold and we are not even there yet" he explained with an impish smile while she closed her eyes to calm her brewing emotions

whilst daniyal smiled at her composure knowing very well what was he up to yet still  he just  wanted her to talk to him any reaction would do

I think you should tie your hair    Ameera's phone blinked a message she sighed weaving it off but her eyes enlarged as a hand touched her hairs

they are coming in my view another message blinked as she hastily tied her hair with her beige ribbon

Her patience was thinning to a dangerous extent and he was not ready to stop, Even their loud laughter was now starting to irritate her, why they have to be so festive? she didn't understand 

" can I have your headphones please ?" Ameera gazed up, where now  daniyal stood tall his large arms trying to reach her headphone 

"Noo!" she hastily  hid it in her bag making Ashley laugh

"what's gotten into you today daniyal Bhai" Sophie inquired with a smile seeming her friends pestered look

"just need her headphones for a while" he replied with an honest face 

"come on Ammy" Sana encouraged 

"no Api "she looked at him irritated

'stop annoying me Dani' she lastly replied him

"can you please change seats with him sana " She supplemented making him raise his perfect eyebrow  in question 

"you must have done something really serious" Ahsan eyed him mischievously

"Me? no I am just a very solicitous cousin of her"daniyal responded eyeing her cutely, annoyed face 

'Apii?' Ameera looked at sana

"I have no problem in doing so"sana replied

"come on jinn stop disturbing our Ammy" Adnan warned motioning him to change seats

"I have long legs and I am very comfortable on the other hand if you have a problem there you can always join us at the back' he suggested with a secret smile

" you will have a blast with us " he assured with a smirk seeing her forming deadly glare as they all laughed

'Relax Ameera if he does anything only a word it takes your big brother is here to protect you Adnan assured making her smile as she calmed down 

"right! just to clear she is more than protected with me," daniyal stated in a serious tone 

"yeah right" Ahsan rolled his eyes earning an empty bottle from him

"cousins are annoying Ammy I am with you on this"Sophie assured 

"Except for daniyal bhai he is very considerate" she added seizing Ameera's smile  as she witnessed a big bar of chocolate in sophie's hand granted by daniyal securing everyone's laugh 

"you are an exceptionally great friend of hers I am glad Ameera has someone like you "Daniyal flattered 

"you better stay away from me" Ameera warned Sophie  turning around as Ashley consoled her with a big smile

Ameera  skipped encircling her fingers around the bus pole as an indifferent wind crashed lighting with her smooth features whist she caught in the marvel before her

There were enormous trees, hundreds of them, encompassed all around beautified by a huge lake guiding all the way towards the high capped mountains directing everyone to a mesmerising escapade. whereas several boats awaited along the shore willing to take anyone while some already now in the midst quick for their venture 

  Excited she smiled as the others came down while daniyal marched away, summoned by their coach  however his eyes ought warned her of any mischief until his return but oh who has to know what transpires behind she thought when a huge roar screeched as the lads from their other bus came out hollering in excitement she raised an eyebrow looking at Haider who appeared with their picnic  bags 

"Haider wasn't they supposed to prefer silence?" she pointed towards the chirpy group

'What ?" he seemed confused as he buttoned up his black jean jacket 

"I mean wasn't,"  she began until it eventually hit her,

 she had been massively trolled by daniyal hurrah!!!

"Never mind"Ameera mustered  a calm smile expertly hiding away the inner lava 

when has there ever been a quiet bus? stupid girl Ameera scolded herself 

"You guys go freshen up first, we  must leave soon" Haider pointed towards the awaiting boats exciting them 

'This is straight out of any artistic scenery I saw as a child trust me" Ashley sighed

"Or a mystic book" Sophie joined

"Its magnificent SubhanAllah" Ameera inhaled the crispy fresh air 

 Ameera fastened her band on the head crown letting her hair a bit loose for breath as her head pained due  it being tight thanks to daniyal, while her mates freshened up composing  fascinating songs of  delight

Rows of small family picnics greeted them as they made their way out of the rest area having their mini camps around enjoying the breeze sanctioning their children to play around the garden where the trio ran towards the swings while others got ready to move on 

Ameera  could easily spot daniyal from her swing, now enrobed in a dusky coloured hoodie  with Adnan and some others as their coach addressed them with all the safety instructions to which  all-boys huddled heeded attentively

"Why do they get to be in charge?" Ameera grumbled pushing her way up the small swing 

"Because I think  they are the only ones that volunteered" Ashley grinned from her neighbour sway 

"Or they are the most responsible one!!" Sophie argued receiving two sets of annoyed looks

"was just stating a fact" she added innocently

"you have no right to speak after that chocolate  bribe," Ameera declared haughtily

"you can't ignore me for long madam and it was just a peace gesture" Sophie halted Ameera's swing to squeeze her moody friend 

"flattery, flattery" Ashley tsked as they made their way towards their crew 

They followed up laughing and enjoying their mini banter as daniyal overheard her quirky comebacks whilst her lightly curved hairs bounced along.

"Ameera over here" he pointed as they all proceeded to the shore.

Her eyes examined the yacht before clasping with his and she furrowed her eyebrows "but I am going with my classmates" she sided towards their awaiting one.

"Really?" he raised his eyebrows to that was even an option

"Your friends are welcomed Ameera and come on don't do this to us again" Sana encouraged grasping Danial's demeanour 

Ameera glanced at Ashley and Sophie who shook their heads hinting towards the fun they will miss

'I promise to return with you all but let me go with my classmates now they are all on that one"Ameera emphasized innocently 

"No!" Dani finalized frowning at her while she looked at Sana for support

"Let her go, Dani, it's her time to enjoy as well" Sana summed politely

" But be careful kiddo" Adnan backed her as well with a secret wink  

"Here! right now" Daniyal  denoted ignoring everyone  how could he let her go alone without him that too in the middle of an island 

'Dannii stop it" she debated with  troubled expressions

"Daniyal Bhai please," Sophie and Ashley requested 

"Danii" Ameera tilted her head as he frowned at her adamant features

"Just the ride to their and promise to behave" daniyal warned making them squeal 

"I am not a kid" she answered sassily 

"Suree" Sana sang relieved  going all the way towards their yacht 

"Your life jacket girls" Usman invited from down, with orange jackets in his hands ...

what a perfect timing great!

Ameera slightly looked at daniyal who had quite obscure expressions on his face yet he quietly jumped the barrier coming on their side

"She will join you," daniyal said not taking his eyes of Ameera as her friends caught the hint and left

He unzipped his life jacket taking it off.

'Heyyy" Ameera protested as he fastened her into his  jacket

'Daniyall, not that tight" she protested slightly

"Try not to kill yourself out there for me will you now?" He demanded staring at her

"How will it bother you?"Ameera rolled her eyes testing his patience while he stayed calm 

"I have answers to give to your parents Ameera and not keen on losing such a quirky partner trust me" he finally closed the belt

"And tie up your hair again" he moved away as the sudden warmth fled apart causing her a  shiver.

"Daniyal captain your ship awaits you and don't worry Ameera will be fine" Kiran emphasized dryly

"Now go and remember my eyes will be on you" he warned as she stuck her tongue out in annoyance

"Bad manners!" he chanted as she rushed away almost slipping at the edge but saved herself thanks to the railings though she never turned back ,. What a joker  she called herself while daniyal shook his head at her antics not even inside yet and  could have been in the water already 

Their boat drove off a few minutes after the first one as the girls rushed towards the front dock ...

Ameera's dress drizzled aside as she whisked in the freshly brewed breeze from the crystal lake...

The fast waves protruding its way across the land they were leaping behind and ahead of where the enormous  mountains peeked  shaded under the heavy fog anticipating their presence

Their magistic charm alluring them into a gorgeous channel of a fairytale as the breeze waltzed around each of them turn by turn

She breathed with the afloat waves taking in the beauty of nature present in front "SubhanAllah this is so  enchanting," Ameera stated

"Agreed" Haider responded from behind while the girls nodded...

"Thanks for saving us this seat" Ameera slightly curved facing him

"Pleasure is all mine" Haider kept a hand on his heart beaming as his hairs danced along with the wind and Ameera slid her eyes away from his who appeared to magnetize them ... and in an instant, her sight found the yacht in front where a person by his  binoculars observed all across settling it on the girl he had mysterious perceptions about

"What was she doing at the front deck? that's too risky  daniyal reasoned with a frown until his orbs found her's, those  sparkling eyes held a fascination her enthusiastic cheers and pointers  easily  understood by his intellect yet so far away was his heart  in a land he could not call his own albeit it belonged to non-other but him 

"did you spot it ?" Adnan clamped his shoulder

"No, no sign of that bird" daniyal confirmed his eyes stuck on Ameera as she padded the waves with her soft hands and that was it ...in a swift, his phone was out

"oh no"

"By any chance could they see us?" Ameera asked concerned staring  at her beeping phone 

'Nope! not at all "Ashley affirmed filming the region around 

"Maybe he is just checking on you?" Sophie added regarding the name on Ameera's phone 

"He is not that considerate" Ameera rolled her eyes.

"stop bothering me Dani" she uttered attending his call, smiling sheepishly at sophie's look

"Do you prefer going back?" the seriousness in his tone made her fidget 

What no 

"What did I do know?" she inquired annoyed

"You are such a creepy person Danii" she jumped off the edge peering around

"Yes I am off that bar" she answered quietly 

"Go inside now" Daniyal directed as the line went dead

she clutched her hands provoked at his behaviour she was supposed to be mad at him which she certainly was but how does he still get to boss her around?

"It's getting chilly prefer to go inside,?" Ameera politely asked her friends who smiled in understanding

"I think it's much cosier inside" Sophie appreciated studying her brooding friend yet in no time the snug environment of the interior fused them within and they savoured their moments near the small intricate burning hearth 

The tunes hummed loud as they swam past the island  securing  dozens of sweet memories together, at times taking turns to steer their  yacht not to forget Usman who gave them a 360 view spinning the boat  receiving a good yell from the driver making them laugh till their stomachs hurt

still laughing at Usman's doing they huddled closer to the hearth however Ameera took a seat quite gently blinking her eyes a few times as her heart raced while her body tensed until she barely wheezed out a breath...

"Ameera? You okay" Ashley sat down in front staring at her inactive friend

"Hmm," she said quietly while her head spun and she began seeming nauseous, the chilled breeze embracing them flew mighty as they sailed middle of nowhere

The land around was mesmerising the view was too good to be real but at times  certain emotions and feelings often get to complex to handle especially when you shut it for too long they come to you uninvited sucking every bit of your  energy away and possibly the burden of some statements finally overtook her as she struggled to grasp her surroundings her plight growing worse 

"What 's happening?" she flickered her eyes sharply to drive away that blur but worsening her state until everything went to cloudy

Her friends were around  in no time thankfully the boat docking at their destination

"I will get her juice, just don't let her move" Haider warned hopping out of the boat

"No take me out I don't want to stay here" she whispered hazey, Ashley and Sophie looked at each other nevertheless helping her out in the fresh air 

"The seafood needs a little more seasoning?" daniyal interrogated his mates until Ameera's report reached  him and in no time he rushed towards the coast with a bottle in hand with sana who by chance overheard  tailing behind him

Ameera was now seated in a corner on a  huge rock with firmly closed eyes by Ashley and Sophie on her either side coaxing her to ease her shallow breaths

A sudden uneasiness erupted in daniyal's dusky orbs as he took in her frail form and in a swift was in front of her but before he could do anything he turned around with a glare

"Is there some kind of drama going on in here? you may all leave" he stated sternly staring at them even Haider who had a freshly squeezed juice in his hands

"thank you I will give it to her" sana smiled at him as she politely urged everyone to leave

Haider hesitated for a moment but left observing daniyal's broad form who had now shielded her from everyone 

"Hey Ameera open your eyes"Daniyal lightly coaxed kneeling in front as he boldly held her cold hands in his heated ones to deliver warmth

"Come on ozel it's alright, come on open your eyes" he demanded softly as she slightly fluttered them open  sailing in his deep one's her vision still hazy and the wind left no chance to swirl around the duo handing them the very first key of nature 

"No don't close it's okay" his attention was solely on her concerned as he gave her water to sip while warmly  tugging her loosened strand at the back oh her ear as she slowly sipped in the water

Ashley furrowed her eyebrows in contemplation at his close gestures...but daniyal's voice drew her back

"Huh sorry?"

"What did she have in the boat?"

"Nothing" she answered

"Nothing?" he asked for confirmation

"Yeah"

"In breakfast?" he looked at Ameera

"She wasn't hungry" Sophie answered instead

"You had nothing since morning?" he questioned Ameera who glanced around feeling a lot better.

Or night he whispered to himself but Ameera hastily drove her hands from under him avoiding eye contact.

"Feeling better?" He inquired softly to which she nodded reluctantly

She resembled a child an innocent one too scared of  what transpired he smiled at her bothered expression as she caught him staring 

yup! she was fine now

"Let's go we were waiting for you. I made the lunch" he boasted to which she made a face making the girls laugh.

"I see, laugh all you want but you won't be able to stop.." he promised as Ashley held her hand coming in between them as he clutched his hand at the loss of hers...

Ameera felt too embarrassed observing everyone gathered around for lunch yet grateful to them she received a rather welcoming environment where she was treated specially in a very comfortable zone and now a plate filled with scrumptious food was awaiting in front

"Don't suppress your inner foodie" daniyal had whispered after laying the plate 

"Go away" she argued while she attempted but her appetite didn't seem to agree hardly so she nibbled on a sweet creamy bun but left it soon after.

What is wrong with me 

But how could she have an appetite when there were several words eating her from within...

Daniyal took a deep breath after observing her plate while her friends including Sana mummied her to at least have  juice

His fist turned white as he went towards his friends trying to clear his mind and get her to talk ...
Her behaviour was starting to really trouble him ...the complaints in her eyes were too intense and for various reasons some of which he knew he would never be able to justify...

"I know what will cheer  you up Ammy" Ahsan grinned playful

"Sour jellies anyone?" He oh so coolly took out a bright coloured packet ringing Ameera's ear as her eyes twinkled with an unexpected smile.

"Yes please "she extended her hand like a child

"Wow after all the hard work of my heart-shaped sandwich"sana scolded

"And my hand-cut fruits !!".sophie joined in

"A sour candy wins her heart are you witnessing this daniyal ?"Kiran asked

"What can I say my family is uniquely weird! "he quietly gazed at Ameera's lit up features secretly liking that moment

"You have to finish this sandwich first" Sana ordered while Dani quickly grasped the packet from Ahsan 

"Thief " Ahsan protested trying to grasp it back making them laugh

"These do look yummy" he opened it tortuously slow enjoying her aghast expressions whilst purposefully smirking at her

"stop it Dannii"

"Eat that first" he casually  shrugged 

"Stop treating me like a kid" she narrowed her eyes at them 

"And You are saying that ?" he indicated towards the packet

"A few more emotions and maybe I would "

"Come on daniyal" Adnan persuaded and he gave her the packet which everyone shared including sana who couldn't resist

Daniyal didn't comprehend the reason behind his territorial behaviour towards her but he could boldly admit he felt comfortable when she was in his watch territory, with  his squad full stop,

Beneath the canopy of huge trees were their gatherings camping beside the firewoods at various spots amidst the awe-inspiring spectacles nature presented, their  environment grew duskier the fog slowly crept up and they all got content in each others company enjoying the small banters, warming the drinks, sharing stories as if they were a family which indeed they had become now
