While passing through a small town, we find Zoey battling the gym leader Fantina, and Zoey seems to have trouble and is defeated. I say, "We've finally found you, so can we have a gym battle?"

"The thing is, I've been a traveling trainer just like you, so I have to leave the gym empty while I was away..." Fantina says.

This causes us to be surprised, that she hasn't picked a substitute leader. So I ask, "I don't get it, why don't you go back to the gym? I'm sure there are a lot of people who want to challenge you. That includes us."

Fantina says, "But the thing is I'm training now."

"That sounds strange for us, I mean, you're a Gym Leader and a Top Coordinator. So what do you need training for?" Dawn asks.

"Maybe you should tell them the story that you told me a few hours ago." Zoey says.

Fantina explains that with a lot of hard work, she was able to win the Grand Festival with her Misdreavus, earning the title of Top Coordinator. Afterward, she was invited to become a Gym Leader, and the Hearthome Gym was opened. However eventually some of the Trainers would defeat her in a rematch, and she felt that she wasn't giving them a good enough battle.

"I see...I heard my brothers and sisters about it as well." I say. "I think I know how it feels..."

Fantina also states that she has been working on a new battle style that incorporates the beauty of a Contest Battle and the ferocity of a Gym match. Lillie then asks, "After hearing that story, I really want to battle against you."

"Sure, but I can only battle one of you since my Pokemon are too tired." Then I offer Lillie to battle first.

She sends out Gengar first while Lillie sends out Gallade. Gallade puts up a good fight and defeats Gengar, but loses due to the Destiny Bond. Then Fantina sends out Dusclops while Lillie sends out Dusknoir. Fantina is a little happy that Lillie has a ghost type. But then she starts to remember the battle. Both Dusclops and Dusknoir exchange their attacks, but Lillie wins eventually.

The final Pokemon is Mismagius, who has used a combo of Hypnosis and Dream Eater to defeat Dusknoir. Lillie then takes out Sneasel, which won't be affected by Dream Eater. And with the Sleep Talk, it uses Blizzard to win against Drifblim.

"This battle is really different from everything that we experienced." Lillie says. "But that is a great battle."

"Thank you for the battle that reminds me of my old times. And I will be returning to the Hearthome Gym." She says.

"Really, so we can have a gym battle?" I ask.

"Of course, but for Lillie, I want you to take this." She gives her the Relic Badge, much to her shock, but she takes it. Fantina then bids farewell to us and leaves.

Back at the Pokemon Center, Zoey shows them that she has won her third Ribbon, "Which means I am one forward from Dawn and one behind from Ash." Zoey says. "So I won't be entering the Celestic Town Contest."

"It is fine." I say, then we bid farewell to Zoey as we continue our journey.

We arrive at Celestic Town, and that's when Dawn's mother, Johanna, tells us that she only lost to a person named Lila, who is now a Pokemon Stylist. We go to her store and find out that she is going to participate in the contest.

In the performance round, Lila goes first. Lila calls upon her Pokémon, and bursting from a Poké Ball with a Flora Seal is a Cherrim who, thanks to the bright stage lights, opens up to reveal its Sunshine Form. Lila begins her presentation with Cherrim using Magical Leaf and Sunny Day to create the image of a beautiful green flower shape in the stadium.

Dawn is amazed by the combination as well but remembers that for today, Lila is her opponent. After a number of performances, Jessilina enters the stage promising a Fantina-inspired performance while putting on a poor French accent. Her appeal round, however, is just her Yanmega using Silver Wind to allow her to fly, very similar to her appeal with Dustox in the Solaceon Contest.

During Dawn's appeal, she calls upon Lopunny and has her use Ice Beam to create a slide of ice that Lopunny can skate on. Dawn then tells her to use Dizzy Punch, which allows her to skate on her ears, however, she spins out of control and flies across the stage. Fortunately, Dawn catches her and with a smile and a pose, they cover up their mistake. The judges gave Dawn good comments.

In the final rounds, it is Dawn versus Lila. She uses Delcatty while Dawn uses Ponyta. Thanks to her no-worry attitude, she encourages Ponyta and makes it evolve into Rapidash and wins the contest. Later, to celebrate Dawn's victory, Lila lets us pick out whatever we like from her shop. All of us, including our Pokémon, try out a lot of clothes, and jewelry for the Pokémon, before thanking Lila. Lila also thanks Dawn for letting her experience excitement she has not felt in a long time.

We also meet up with Daisy, who has been wanting to learn more about the Celestic Ruins, after seeing my Gible, she gives me an Orb Badge, and then we also see the news that the Adamant Orb is stolen by Team Galactic, and they are also after the Lustrous Orb.

We find some grunts outside the ruins, and Professor Carolina is also there. She asks us to help defeating the grunts, and we all battle them. It is also then our Gible evolve into Gabite, but still fails to use Draco Meteor.

Gabite: The Cave Pokemon: Dragon and Ground Type. Evolve from Gible at LV:24. There is a long-held belief that medicine made from its scales will heal even incurable illnesses.

After we defeat the grunts, they flee and Professor Carolina says, "Oh, you were magnificent! Aren't you quite the Trainers? As the elder of Celestic Town, I give you my thanks."

"Professor Carolina. It is nice to see you again, Cynthia asks us to give this to you." We give her the Old Charm, and she says, "That Cynthia... This Old Charm is something made in Celestic Town long, long ago. It was made in honor of a mythical deity said to have created Sinnoh. These Old Charms are still discovered now and again. Since you're in Celestic Town, why not look around inside the ruins?"

We nod as we all head inside the Celestic Ruins, and we see a wall with the picture. Mysterious designs cover a whole section of the wall. There are three strange things forming a triangle. In the middle of them, a shining sphere? What is this all about?

Professor Carolina says, "The cave painting's meaning seems to be this... There existed beings... Beings so powerful, they were considered deities at the time. There were three Pokémon with the power to match either being. The three kept balance with either being as if they formed a pyramid. It's an ancient legend of Sinnoh that is still told in Celestic Town."

"I would like to know more about that legend, if you will." Then we turn to see the blue-haired Team Galactic member arrive, and the Professor asks, "Who might you be?"

"My name is Cyrus. I want to put an end to pointless strife and hostility. I am seeking the power to create the ideal world. Thus, I want you to answer. The world today can't change because the three Pokémon keep it in balance. Is that what you are saying?"

"I wouldn't know. I do know the world is in balance. I'm quite satisfied with the world the way it is. I'm not interested in your question."

"Plead ignorance, will you? What a pointless attitude. You fail to appreciate that the world is incomplete. I will change the world. As the first step, I will destroy this cave painting that you've protected all these years. A new legend of a new world will take its place. Am I wrong? If you feel that way, challenge me."

We glare at the man and I say, "If it's a battle you want, then we'll give you one." I say to Cyrus, and I assume that he's the boss of Team Galactic.

"I know you, Trainer. We've met at Mt. Coronet. Why would you want to protect this incomplete world? As the boss of Team Galactic, I will show you the error of your ways."

Daisy asks, "So he's the boss?"

"I guess so..." Lillie says.

He uses three Pokemon, a Murkrow, a Sneasel, and a Golbat. I use the three Pokemon by our side and defeat all three of them with ease, but he says, "Remarkable. But, Elder, your attitude told me what I needed to know. If the beings of time and space are brought together, they can't be stopped..."

Then he leaves, and Carolina says, "Such a strange, strange man. Spouting such nonsense. The time and space of Sinnoh are filled with memories and thoughts of countless people and Pokémon. This is a wonderful world. What need is there to change it? Oh, yes. I found something useful. You should take this. It belonged to my granddaughter, but she doesn't use it anymore."

Then we receive the HM for Surf, not that I need it. "If a Pokémon learns Surf, it can carry you across water and the sea. You've been a great help. That's my thanks for it."

But as we are outside, we find that the laboratory is in ruins, and Dia and Palmer are injured. I ask, "What the hell is going on here?"

"Team Galactic... they also stole the Lustrous Orb!" Palmer says, much to our horror.

"Damn it... it's a distraction!" Gladion says.

I say, "Dia, Palmer, we just battled the leader of Team Galactic, I might have won against him, but everything is a distraction so that his admins can take the orbs..."

"I see..." Dia says. "You did your best, I think we have to proceed normally and be ready for what they're going to do."

We nod and I ask, "By the way, Dia, do you trap Gina in the Distortion World?"

He flinches and starts sweating, I sigh and says, "Relax, she's out of the Distortion World now. But I think Gina will probably want to kill you now."

"Then I have to leave before she finds me, so I'll see you." Dia says as he leaves. And then we also bid farewell to Daisy and the others as we are heading back to Hearthome City.

Here is a new chapter, Ash has a battle with Cyrus and wins, but they still take the orbs away. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be the Hearthome Gym battle. That also reminds me, the Team Galactic part from now on will be based on Platinum.
