Arriving at Route 2, I find a Pokemon who has been trying to steal our stuff to gain our attention. Alice says, "What's this?"

"It's a Purrloin!" Eve gasps. "It's a Dark Type Pokemon."

The Purrloin jumps into my shoulder and I ask, "You've been waiting for me this whole time as well?"

Purrloin nods as she hugs me. Iris asks, "What's with all the Pokemon wanting to be with Ash?"

Golly says, "We know for sure that two years ago, Brother came to the Unova Region. But instead of capturing Pokemon, he befriended them instead. I guess Purrloin was one of the Pokemon he befriended but then released in the end."

Purrloin: The Devious Pokemon: Dark Type. They steal from people for fun, but their victims can't help but forgive them. Their deceptively cute act is perfect.

When we arrive at Striaton City, Golly says, "So this is Striaton City... and the gym here is not operating anymore..."

"Yeah, it is a shame since I really want to see what the gym here is about." I say.

"A Pikachu and an Absol! This is the first time I've seen it upclose!" Just then, a green-haired boy rush to us and is checking at our Pokemon. "You got yourself a rare Pokemon, you know."

"We're not from Unova. My name is Ash Ketchum, and these are my friends, Alice and her sister Eve, and this is my sister Golly."

"Wait, you don't mean you are Ash Ketchum? The Champion of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh?" The boy gasps, "It's so nice to meet you, my name is Cilan, and I'm a Pokemon Connoisseur."

"Wow, a Pokemon Connoisseur, what rank are you?" Alice asks.

"I'm an A-Rank. I assume you two know about this as well?" Cilan asks.

"Of course, we even take a test before our journey even started." I say. "Alice and I are S-Classes."

"No way!" Cilan gasps in delight. "Two S-Class Connoisseur?"

Golly asks, "What is a Connoisseur?"

Eve says, "Pokémon Connoisseurs use their knowledge and experience to assess the bond between Trainer and Pokémon, and from there give advice on how to strengthen their partnership. The process of checking Pokémon and Trainer compatibility is known as an evaluation, with methods including field observations, skin condition, and aroma. Connoisseurs can also help choose what Pokémon would be compatible for beginning Trainers who have not yet chosen their first Pokémon."

Iris says, "Now hold on a second... Ash? You are a Champion of four regions?"

"You didn't know about that, Iris?" Alice asks, and she shakes her head.

"Well, I really don't like the attention." I say. "By the way, since it is about lunchtime, I wonder if the Striaton Restaurant is nearby?"

"Of course. I'll take you there, follow me." Cilan says as we arrive at the restaurant.

"Hi. Welcome." Then a boy with red hair arrives, along with a boy with blue hair. "Welcome, please make yourself at home."

As we all sit around the table, the boy with the red hair asks, "So are you ready to order?"

"May I start it off with something to drink? I highly recommend the Soda Pop." The blue-haired boy says.

"We also have a recently priced lunch menu." Then we decide to order some food, and I ask Cilan, "So they are your brothers? Cilan?"

"Of course, this is my brother Chili and Cress." Cilan says. "We used to be the Gym Leaders of Striaton City, but a lot has happened."

Then they decide to talk with us about what happened once we have our food on the table.

(Flashback)

The three of them are now inside the gym as Cilan says, "Chili, are you listening to me? We have to study hard and become full-fledged Gym Leaders as soon as possible ..."

" About that. If we had gone to N's Castle a year ago, the Seven Sages and the Shadow Triad wouldn't have escaped! Then, nobody would say something like "Three of you together make..." Chili mutters.

"I guess you're right..." Cress sighs.

"You think so? But it isn't that big of a deal. We may not have made it in time, but Team Plasma is still gone." Cilan frowns.

Chili grabs his head with frustration. "Argh! It's because you say things like that. That's why people treat us like a joke! Like it takes all three of us together to make one great Trainer!

"You're overthinking it, but I can't say the possibility is zero." Cress says.

Cilan frowns, "Come on, you two... Don't you think it's a bit strange to get recognition and respect as Gym Leaders just for beating bad guys?

Chili nods, "I understand what you're saying. But if things go on like this, nothing will ever change. Even if we train, the other Gym Leaders will become that much stronger as well."

It is then the Shadow Triad arrives, and Dia says, "Then... We'll battle you."

The three of them widen their eyes and Cress says, "Based on your appearance, you must be the Shadow Triad. But why are you here?"

"We came on a whim... To vent... To pass time... It doesn't matter." Gina says.

"Three on three! The first one to beat them is the strongest among us!" Chili says.

They try to battle, but with the Shadow Triad using Bisharp, Banette, and Accelgor, they defeat the three of them with ease.

Palmer says, "Too easy..."

Dia says, "These three aren't worth worrying about. We must focus on the other Gym Leaders so that next time they won't get in our way..."

Gina nods, "Well... Lord Ghetsis is waiting. We must catch that Pokémon."

When they leave, Chili yells, "C'mon! What was that? Come back here and say that again!"

Cilan says, "I mean... They were overwhelmingly strong."

Cress adds, "We have to admit it. The three Leaders of Striaton City make one full-fledged Trainer."

Cilan frowns, "You're right. Chili. Cress. I think as long as the three of us act like the Gym Leaders we are now, nothing will ever change."

Chili gasps in surprise, "I didn't think you would be the first to say that."

Cress frowns, "Of course, I, Cress, was thinking about that, too."

Cilan says, "All right. Let's resign as Gym Leaders and start our training over from the ground up. Then, I'm sure one of us will become a Trainer everyone recognizes as great."

Chili nods, "We're triplets. What we think is the same. So we just have to become as strong as each other, and then we can be Gym Leaders together again!"

Cress says, "OK. So as for the replacement Gym Leader..."

(Flashback Ends)

Now I feel bad for them, Dia, Palmer, and Gina can be ruthless if they want to. Cilan says, "Because of that day, we can truly aim for the top!"

"That sure is a sad story..." I say. "But I think that it really doesn't matter if you're a full-fledged trainer or not. What matters is where your heart is."

Alice says, "That's right. And thanks for telling us about the truth and also the meal. It really is delicious."

As I'm about to pay, Cilan says, "There's no need. It's an honor to treat two Champions for a meal after all."

"Huh? Two Champions?" I ask with confusion. Then Iris says, "You really are a little kid, aren't you."

"Iris is the Unova Champion after Alder retires, don't you know about that?" Chili asks.

"Wait... you're the Champion?" Eve asks. "You never told us about that."

"You never asked." Iris says. "But I am still a new champion, there are still a lot of things that I need to learn."

Then she leaves, and Cilan asks, "I thought you guys were traveling together?"

"Actually not." I say. "While it is fun talking to you all, we still need to go because we need to head to Castelia City for our first gym battle."

Then we bid farewell to the trio, and when we get to the Pokemon Center to rest up, we notice that Cilan is now rushing towards us.

Golly asks, "Cilan? What's wrong?"

"I like to chat with you, if you don't mind." Cilan says.

"Wasn't the restaurant enough?" Alice asks, but we decide to sit down as Cilan asks, "So Ash, I've been watching your performances in the other Leagues, I have been amazed at you and your Pokemon. I want to ask you for future references."

Then he starts to take notes and asks us some questions, and we sweatdrop as we try to figure out what to reply. It is then Iris rushing into the Pokemon Center with Axew glowing pink.

"Axew starts to glow when a pink light falls from the sky! And whatever it is, there are a lot more outside!" Iris says.

It is then a scientist arrives, and I recognize her as Dr. Fennel, who is one of the researchers related to dreams. She has Munna to wake Axew up using Dream Eater.

"Doctor Fennel. It is nice to meet you again." Eve says.

"I remember you, you're one of the assisting Professors under Professor Oak, right?" Fennel asks as they shake hands.

Then we ask what's going on, and we notice a lot of dream mist outside, and Fennel says, "All of these are made by Musharna's dream mist..."

"I know a Musharna in a dream world before... I wonder if it's the same one that Team Plasma tried to capture..." I say.

"Wait, so you know about the incident two years ago? Ash?" Cilan asks.

"I'm a member of the International Police." I say. "I have been doing undercover in Unova two years ago along with my other sister Minami and our friend Lillie."

Then Officer Jenny arrives and she wants Absol and Pikachu to be returned the Pokeballs, but both of them refuse so we decide to put hats on them instead. Then we decide to check out the Dreamyard.

Then Dr. Fennel and Cilan reveal that before the explosion had occurred, the Dreamyard was originally a research facility for Pokémon Energy, and it was investigating the possibility of harnessing clean energy through Musharna. However, such research became popular and many people ambitiously wanted rights to the project. As Musharna had to eat dreams in order to develop the energy, it absorbed the negativity of such thoughts and intentions, and thus, facing a great deal of pressure, it was unable to take the stress and caused an explosion. Musharna disappeared, and the research ceased.

"Munna and I return now because Munna senses something, and with the discovery of the pink light, Musharna must be here somewhere, I know it." Fennel says.

Then we notice a strong pink light emitting from behind the trees in front of them, and we find that Team Rocket are the ones who do it.

"Team Rocket..." I groan. "Of course, it has to be you three again..."

"What's a Kanto-based organization doing here?" When Officer Jenny asks.

"Obviously, they have been following us wherever we go." I say, "This should be the 950 times they've annoyed us."

"950 times, wait, you have been counting as well?" Cilan asks.

"As the Rocket trio announces that they are using the residual energy at the Dreamyard to fuel Team Rocket's ambition of taking over Unova, Professor Fennel becomes disappointed at the thought of being involved in such a research project.

"I wonder if Musharna calls you and Munna because of this..." Golly asks.

"I wonder about that as well." Fennel replies.

Seemingly in response to their answer, the ground trembles, and lightning bolts rise to the sky to form a pink veil; Musharna calls out in response. A gap soon materializes in front of them and Musharna appears.

"Musharna!" Just then, Team Rocket captures it with their machine, and I yell, "Pikachu! Use Volt Tackle!"

As the Mouse Pokémon charges himself with electricity, blue beams shoot forth from the machine and attempt to stop him from advancing. Fennel tells Munna to use Psychic to crumple the machine and Pikachu rams it head-on with Volt Tackle, causing the machine to explode and freeing Musharna. Immediately, the pink veil disappears. Jessie calls out her Woobat, using a Gust attack aimed at the ground to make a clean getaway.

"They're gone!" Cilan says.

"They got away again!" Iris says.

"I won't worry about that. As long as we continue, we're bound to meet them again." Alice sighs.

Dr. Fennel rushes to Musharna and says, "Musharna... I'm so sorry I didn't feel your presence for such a long time... I can't thank you enough."

But then, Musharna floats around me, and Dr. Fennel smiles, "Looks like Musharna has sensed your dreams and she wants to join your team. So Ash, can you please take good care of Musharna?"

"Of course." I say as I capture the Pokemon.

Munna: The Dream Eater Pokemon: Psychic Type. Munna always floats in the air. People whose dreams are eaten by them forget what the dreams had been about.

Musharna: The Drowsing Pokemon: Psychic Type. Evolve from Munna with Moon Stone. The mist emanating from their foreheads is packed with the dreams of people and Pokémon.

Later, we are back at the restaurant, and Chili says, "So you're going on a journey?" "You're serious?" Cress adds.

"I'm serious. After I watch how Ash bonds with his Pokemon, our talks convinced me that I just couldn't resist the urge anymore, it's so clear there's more to the pairing of Pokémon and trainer than I originally thought, much more. I know this will help me become an even better Pokémon Connoisseur."

"In that case, we won't stop you." "We want you to be the best Pokemon Connoisseur."

"Thank you both." Cilan says as he decides to join our group, we're happy to have another traveling companion. Cilan says, "But still, I'm sorry that you won't be able to challenge the Striaton Gym, but you can still have this as a souvineer."

Cilan gives me the Trio Badge, and I smile before putting it into my pocket. He says, "So you're going to Castelia City Gym, right?"

"Yeah. That reminds me, where's Iris?" Alice asks.

"Don't know." Just then, she shows up and she also wants to travel with us as well. I mean, that's cool, to have a Champion with us.

And here is a new chapter, in this chapter, you can see that the whole Unova Gang is now complete. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be Route 3.
