PAIGE AND KAI HAVE ALMOST KISSED, TWICE. Kai didn't think much of it, meanwhile Paige could not stop thinking about it.

If they didn't get interrupted, she wonders what could've happened. "I'm debating on going shopping for the Cayman Islands tournament." Kai says, taking a seat on the couch in the common area.

"You should, I'll come with!" Inês says excitedly. Kai nods, making a note to go shopping within the week. "What are we gonna do while we're there?" Kai asks and they shrug.

Kai rolls her eyes and gets her phone out, "I'll make us some plans, we gotta have fun."

"Mother, for real." Aubrey jokes making them all laugh. Kai sees a beach that would be close to where they were staying. Kai makes a reminder to text the group chat so everyone has time to pack a swimsuit. KK sets her phone up to go live, Kai groans as she gets really hyped about who knows what and starts jumping in front of her.  

"KK!" Kai yells and stands up pretending to get ready to box. "Yeah, let's fight then." KK says, Paige gives a shocked look knowing that Kai could probably wipe the floor with KK.

KK throws a fake punch, Kai dodging it for real and ends up tackling the girl to the floor on accident. "KK, I'm so sorry!" Kai says with a laugh as she holds her hand out to help her up.

KK takes the hand but pulls Kai down to the ground. They end up laughing on the floor together before KK bounces up and continues to talk to the live. Caroline walks into the common area and sits next to Kai. "Oh?" Ice says and Caroline blushes.

Paige rolls her eyes and heads to the weight room. Caroline starts up a conversation with the girl while KK and Ice mouth talk as KK was still live.

"Let's go shoot some hoops!" Caroline says and hops up grabbing Kai's hand and tugging her to the gym. Kai trudges behind the hyper girl who grabs a rack of basketballs. Kai laughs as she grabs a ball and shoots, the ball going in.

"Didn't know Slade had game like that." Ice jokes while rebounding the ball. Kai laughs while catching the ball from Ice. Caroline grabs the girls waist and positions her to make a shot while turned around.

"Can we play truth or dare again tonight?" Caroline asks. The girls tease Caroline and she hides her face in her hands.

"No way Car has a crush on Kai. They kissed once for truth or dare." Paige says, reracking the bar. Azzi shrugs and they switch places. Paige watches as the girls run around the court, making baskets and whatnot.

"Why don't you just tell Kai how you feel?" Azzi says as if it's the easiest thing in the world. Paige scoffs as they switch spots again, "I can't. What if I ruin our friendship." Paige tells Azzi as they finish up their last set.

"Inês, let's go shopping today. We aren't busy." Kai says as Paige and Azzi walk into the gym. "We can do a vlog!" Kai adds and Inês nods excitedly. "Wait, can I come?"

What was supposed to be a short and quick shopping trip turned into everyone coming along and dragging out the shopping by three hours. "Try it on!" Aubrey shouts shoving a piece of clothing into KK's hands.

Kai films, KK holding up the tight dress before giving the camera a side eye. KK hands it back to Aubrey who gave it to Kai and takes the camera. "This is gonna be too long." Kai points out, holding up to her neck the dress going way past her feet.

"It doesn't matter! Just try it." Aubrey says and pushes Kai towards the dressing room. Kai puts the dress on and walks out showing the players. The camera pans towards her and she poses, almost ripping the dress from how long it is.

"I told you it was gonna be too long!" She shouts and hikes up the dress to be able to walk back to the dressing room.

"Should I get this?" Jana asks holding up a cute crop top, "if you don't, I will be mad at you." Kai tells her, putting the dress back on the rack hoping that it's in the right spot.

Jana grabs her size, "Kai, let's match!" She says grabbing a smaller one for the girl. Kai smiles and nods, grabbing the piece of clothing.

"We gonna wear this while we're in the Cayman Islands?" Kai asks as they check out. Jana nods with bags in hand.

"Oh my god, we need to go to Barnes and Noble too. I need a new book for the flight." Kai says making the girls look at her with confusion. "What? I like reading." She says with some sass.

The girls continue shopping around, before getting hungry and stopping at the food court. They grab some food, Paige sharing with Kai as usual.

They finish shopping, "okay, you guys don't have to come to Barnes and Noble but that's where I'm headed to next." Kai says as they walk out of the mall. Only Caroline and Paige decided on coming.

"That's why you're my favorite players." Kai says as she pulls into the parking lot. Caroline blushes while Paige rolls her eyes, "I bet you tell everyone that, Slade." She says with a playful snark.

Kai sticks her tongue out as they walk into the bookstore. Kai takes a deep breath, inhaling the nostalgic smell of the store. Kai goes off into the store looking at every book. Caroline and Paige go off and show each other out of pocket covers and reading some of the backs of books but not taking in any information.

Kai grabs three books she's been eyeing for awhile, before looking for the two players. Kai spots them in the horror section, looking like they saw a ghost. Which was very appropriate, Kai sees them holding a Stephan King book.

"The king of horror." Kai says coming up behind them causing them to jump like three feet in the air. Kai starts laughing, to the point where she has to cross her legs as to not pee in the middle of the bookstore. "We are so watching a horror movie soon."  Kai declares as they set the book back.

"Oh, fuck no." Paige says shutting the idea down immediately. Kai rolls her eyes, "you are watching a horror movie." Kai says— demands making the girl pouts playfully.

Kai checks out and they head to her car. "I want a milkshake." Caroline says while getting in the front seat. Paige glares at the back of her head and sits in the back. Kai looks and hums before heading to Chick-Fil-A.

"Let's go get some milkshakes!" She says while turning her car off. The three of them order three milkshakes before going back in the car, Paige having to sit in the back again. They sing songs obnoxiously on the way back to UConn.

Kai sighs as she reads the text that Kate had sent her. She debated on whether or not to respond.

Kai smiles, "who you texting?" Paige asks. Kai is quick to exit out of Instagram before answering. "Just looking at comments and such." She lies. Paige nods, buying the lie. Kai fidgets with her hands, feeling bad about lying to her best friend about who she was texting.

"Make this tiktok with me." Paige says, setting her phone up. Kai gets up and Paige starts the tiktok. She starts dancing and Kai just stands there not knowing the dance.

Paige laughs and places her hands on her hips and helps her move to the beat of the sound. Kai laughs as she lets Paige move her body. "Thanks for that." She says as the video stops recording.

Paige gives a wink before posting the video without thinking twice about it. "So... you and Car?" Paige speaks out among the silence. "What about it?" Kai asks confused.

"You dating or something?" Paige says like it's the most obvious thing. Kai snorts before shaking her head. "We kissed for truth or dare. The feeling will go away." Kai says, knowing how this situation will go as it's happened before.

Paige nods, trusting the brunette. Kai points to the floor in front of her, "sit, I wanna braid." Paige nods and obeys, sitting in front of the girl.

Kai gets to work braiding the blondes hair. "Ow! Fuck you're so hard on my head." Paige whines as she reaches up to touch her head. Kai slaps her hand making the girl whine more.

Kai doesn't let up on her harshness but gets it done quite quickly. Kai pats the blondes head, "all done."

Paige groans and stretches her neck out from being hunched over. "I can't wait for these to be taken out so I can get a nice head massage." Paige says suddenly.

Kai laughs, "so that's the only reason why you like when I braid your hair!" Kai says with a pointed finger. Paige looks at the brunette with disbelief. "No I don't!" She retorts with a laugh. Kai 'mhms' Paige while crossing her arms.

Paige scoffs, "I'm serious!" She says sticking to her word.

"No, it's fine. You're just using me." Kai says jokingly. Paige gasps and gets up. "No!" Kai yells as she runs from the blonde— or tries to. Paige grabs Kai and lifts her off the ground.

"Put me down!" Kai begs while flailing her feet. Paige laughs while spinning around. "I'm serious, P."

Paige obeys and sets the girl down. Kai whips around and hits the blonde. "Not funny!" Kai says while laughing, contradicting her previous statement. Paige laughs with the brunette as her phones starts buzzing with notifications from the team asking about her newest TikTok.

Paige doesn't respond and puts Do not Disturb on. "Wanna help me pack?" Kai asks and Paige nods.

Kai holds up different clothing getting a nod or a shake of the head from Paige. She ends up packing mostly warm clothes, Paige saying she'd pack some sweatshirts and sweatpants in case it gets cold.

Kai ends up having a full suitcase with no stress thanks to the blonde. "Ugh, I don't know what I'd do without you." Kai confess as they lay in the bed.

Paige doesn't say anything as she leans in, hoping this time they'll actually get to meet in the middle and kiss. Kai leans in, before the ringing of her phone made her pull back.

It was Kate Martin. Kai declines the call almost immediately, sending a quick text to the girl. "Who was it?" Paige asks, sitting up. Kai blinks before coming up with a lie.

"Just a spam call."

Paige groans, having woken up earlier than she needed to be for the flight. Paige smirks as she heads out of her dorm room and into the elevator. Paige unlocks the door to Kai's room.

Paige laughs as she grabs a pillow and whacks the brunette with it. "Holy fuck!" Kai yells as she grabs the pillow and yanks the girl on the bed, almost killing her.

"Paige!" Kai shouts relieved that it was the blonde. Paige laughs and throws the pillow back at the end of the bed. Kai laughs too, finally catching her breath from the scare. "Don't do that again!" Kai says and groans while falling into her lap.

"Noted." Paige speaks while touching the ends of the brunettes hair. Kai gets up and takes in what Paige was wearing, "did you just wake up?" Kai questions gesturing to the blondes outfit. Paige nods and heads to the girls closet to grab a sweatshirt.

Kai laughs as the blonde shimmies into the hoodie. Kai gets up and grabs a hoodie as well, it coincidentally being one of Paige's. "Look, now we're repping each other." Kai points out and Paige smiles with a nod.

"You should get an official UConn photography sweatshirt." Paige suggests, Kai's face lights up at the thought.

"Oh my god, you are so right!" Kai says with a big smile on her face. "How about we go talk to the school store when we get back." Paige says. The girls all arrive on the bus and are off to the airport.

"You gonna sleep on the plane?" Paige asks as they walk onto the plane. Kai nods, "is that even a question at this point?" Kai retorts. Paige rolls her eyes as they sit down next to each other. "Can I lean on you? You're very leanable." Kai says with a compliment in there.

Paige laughs and nods. The girl doesn't hesitate and immediately gets comfy, practically on top of the blonde. Paige smirks and takes a picture of the girl who was no doubt already sleeping as they take off to the Cayman Islands.

Kai yawns as she falls onto the bed. "It feels so good to lay down on a real bed." Kai says as Paige hauls their suitcases in. Since it was a pretty big tournament, Geno let Kai share a room with a player— choosing Paige without hesitation.

"I don't need help, you can just sleep." Paige says sarcastically while breathing heavily from carrying both of their suitcases. "Thank you, P!" Kai says with a tired voice. 'Mhm' Paige responds.

"You wanna go do something today? It's pretty early still." Paige asks, knowing that the sleepy girl wouldn't want to get up. "No, you can go though. Have fun for the both of us." Kai says while waving her hand around.

"Nah, let's watch that horror movie you want me to see."
