"Hey," Paige greets the photographer who was currently in her office. "Hi." Kai says back too focused on the task at hand. "Whatcha working on?" The blonde questions making the girl look up from her computer, "pictures, media, my job." Paige nods as they sit in silence once more.

"What do you want, Bueckers?" Kai asks pausing her work to give her attention to the player. Paige smiles and look down at her feet, "do you know how to braid hair?" The brunette nods making Paige eyes perk up in excitement.

"Do my hair, pleaseeee." Paige begs, prolonging the please to emphasis her point. Kai groans, knowing she could never say no to the blonde. "Let me finish up this media post and then I'll braid your hair." She says and Paige lets out a laugh before rushing out of the office.

Kai laughs to herself before getting back to work and finishing up the last game day posts for when the day finally comes. She finishes the last of her posts and locks her office and heads to the gym where Nika and Paige were. "Am I braiding both of y'all's hair?" Kai laughs out pointing to the two of them, Nika shrugs not really minding if she does get her hair braided. "Come on, I'll do it in my dorm room, all my stuff is there." Kai motions for them to follow and they do.

Nika flops onto Kai's bed upon arriving, making Paige the first one to get her hair braided. "Sit in front of the couch, I have to grab my stuff." Kai points to the ground and Paige takes a seat. Kai emerges from her bathroom with tiny elastics, gel, hairbrush, and a tail comb to section the hair. "Ooo, I'm gonna go live." Paige says while setting up her phone in front of her. She presses the start live button just as Kai took her seat on the couch behind the blonde.

Kai starts by taking the ponytail out of Paige's hair and rubbing her head to give her some relief. Paige throws her head back leaning into the girls touch. "Shouldn't you be entertaining your viewers?" The brunette says pointing to the comments that were coming in at a tremendous speed.

She lifts her head back up and starts interacting with the comments.

Paige reads that one out loud making Kai laugh as she finishes sectioning the hair, "Nika, you'll have to let her in." Kai says while grabbing the tub of gel. She gathers some in her hand and places it on the sections to keep them in place and to prevent flyaways.

"It's cold!" Paige flinches causing Kai to pull on her hair accidentally, "holy fuck tender headed ass." Kai curses as she starts braiding the first piece of hair. Paige pouts jokingly making Kai laugh at her face.

"Open up!" KK yells while pounding on the door. Nika groans and gets up to let KK in. Paige whimpers at the harshness of Kai's braiding.

"Quit yo whining." KK says while taking a seat next to Kai. "Shit looking tight!" KK compliments and leans forward to read the comments.

Kai was able to finish Paige's braids within 30 minutes, meaning Nika was up. "Good luck." Paige tells Nika while trying to scratch the braids, "stop that!"

"How many more tiktoks are you going to make?" Kai questions as the tiktok Paige and KK made ended, "don't be a buzzkill." Paige says while scratching her braids again. Kai rolls her eyes while KK jumped up onto Kai's bed and Paige opts for the couch.

"Show me the tiktoks." Kai voices and KK opens her phone and hands it to the girl. Kai smirks before making tiktoks on KK's account and saving them to drafts. "Nice, you dance better than Paige though." She teases and Paige glares at the brunette.

"We have practice tomorrow?" Kai wonders while scrolling on her phone, seeing clips from the live and how much 'pain' Paige was in. "We have two practices a day this week since opening day is coming up." Kai's jaw drops, "two?!"

The other two both nod and Kai groans, this week was gonna be brutal. "Okay, before the first game we have to go hot tubbing!" Kai shouts as the idea comes to her mind. Paige chuckles, it wouldn't be a bad idea. "Maybe after the game. Celebratory hot tub sesh." KK revises and Kai nods, that is a much better idea.

"Ooo, I'm gonna wear my new red bikini I got!" Kai says excitedly, clapping her hands. Paige's eyebrow raise getting a subtle laugh from KK. Kai looks to KK wondering what was funny. KK shrugs, acting oblivious to the girl.

GAME DAY !!!!!!

Kai grabs her cameras, lenses, SD cards, and all that jazz in preparation of the game today. "Kai, you're needed in the locker room." Kai looks up to see one of the assistant coaches in the doorway of her office and bids before locking her office behind her, you can never be too careful when there's thousands of dollars of equipment in there.

Kai makes the short journey to the locker room where music was blasting. The players were all dancing and having fun getting hyped up for their first game. "I was needed!?" Kai yells over the music, Caroline turns the music down to hear her better. "Paige needs you to do her hair." Kai looks confused as Kayla would do Paige's hair.

"I got my finger crushed in a door." Kayla explains and Kai puts her hand to her heart, "oh my, are you okay?" Kayla nods and then points to Paige who was sitting in front of her locker.

"You want your double braids?" Kai asks and Paige nods before sitting in front of the girl. Kai gets to work using Kayla's products as she did not have time to go grab her stuff. Kai concentrates hard, wanting to make the braids look nice for the game. And making sure they stay in place with no problem. Paige winces a few times but keeps her mouth shut for most of it. "Do you want me to put it into a ponytail or are you gonna do that?"

"I can do it, thank you for doing my hair. Make sure to get good shots of me tonight." Paige says with a wink. Kai blushes and goes back to her office to finish picking her cameras and lenses. The girls were out warming up while fans pile into the gym. After warming up for 15 minutes they all head back to the locker room, "good luck ladies!" Kai yells as she walks in the opposite direction to the gym.

The gyms lights were turned to blue as the starting lineup was getting announced. Kai takes picture after picture for every UConn player. After they were introduced they all got into a huddle and Kai did her best to get multiple shots of the girls. The girls break the huddle and go to the bench to talk with Geno and the other coaches.

Kai's knee bounces up and down anxiously waiting for the game to start, only to realize that Dayton has an unlisted player out on the court. Dayton gets a technical foul and Azzi shoots before the game even starts. UConn starts off with 2 points before the clock starts, making Kai smile.

It was halftime, it was like time sped up. It only felt like 10 minutes to Kai when it had been 40 minutes. Kai rushed to her office to upload her pictures of the first half and to post some pictures to the media. Kai was able to post a couple of pictures with 3 minutes left to spare from halftime. The game goes back to the same pace within seconds of it starting again.

The final score is 102-58. And the girls are tired and happy. Kai smiles as she heads back to her office to upload the pictures and put her cameras away. She sighs as she waits for the thousands of photos to upload to her computer. It took 16 minutes to upload all the pictures and another 10 to put everything back to their original place. She shuts the lights off and locks the office behind her before walking towards the locker room to get the girls for their hot tubbing tonight.

"Y'all ready to go?!" Kai yells while walking into the locker room. The girls cheer and finish getting their things sorted. The girls finish and follow Kai outside to see a big charter bus for them to ride in. "No way, Kai." Inês says to the girl. Kai smirks and ushers them to get on, they all rush on.

The bus arrives at the location of a big spa on a huge mountain, the girls look out the window and see the glorious space. "No way. Our media director is the fucking goat!" KK yells and cheers come in response. The driver parks and the girls hurry out of the bus.

"You really spoiled us." Paige says as they were the last two on the bus. Kai blushes and looks down at her feet, "you guys work hard, you deserve it." Kai explains and now it was Paige's turn to blush.

"Well let's go hot tubbing!" The blonde yells and grabs Kai, running out of the bus. Some of the girls had already changed into their swimsuits and relaxing in the hot water. "I'm gonna go change." Paige nods while Kai heads into the bathroom.

Paige just opted for a sports bra and shorts as did many of the other players as well. The others wore actual swimsuits on, mainly one pieces with cut outs.

Kai walks out of the bathroom in her red bikini drawing the eyes of the players, "damn!!!!" One of the players yelled and they start hyping her up. Kai emerges herself in the hot water. The girls play around in the hot tub, making tiktoks, taking pictures, and going live.

Some of the players left the hot tub to go find their rooms they were going to stay in. Pretty soon it was just Kai and Paige in the hot tub. "You had some nice shots out there." Kai compliments as if Paige hadn't heard that one before, but it meant more to Paige coming out of Kai's mouth.

Paige wanted nothing more than to impress the girl. Paige blushes at the compliment, thankful that the heat of the water had made her face red before. She laughs, "I wish I could say the same thing about you but I haven't seen the photos yet."

Kai gasps at the playful manor of Paige's response. "Just for that, you're gonna be the last to see the pictures." Kai threatens while crossing her arms trying to look tough and stick to her word. Paige gives a smirk to the brunette knowing that she's going to be the first person to see the pictures.

"Wanna get out? My hands are all pruny." Kai asks and Paige nods, her hands being pruny too. They grab towels and head back into the spa to grab a room, coincidentally they had rooms next to each other. "Come over when you're done, please? My hair needs to be taken down." Paige begs and Kai agrees to come over.

Kai hops in the shower to rinse her body off of the chlorine but keeps her hair out of it. She takes five minutes before drying off and putting on some comfy clothes, Paige's sweatpants and a cropped tank top.

Kai walks the short distance to Paige's room and knocks before Paige opens it up, wearing a different sports bra and some shorts. Kai walks in and takes a seat on the bed, patting next to her for Paige to sit. She makes work of taking out the high ponytail and ripping the elastics out of the two braids before unbraiding it.

Paige sighs in relief and leans her head back into Kai's touch. Kai laughs before pushing her head back forward to finish unbraiding. Kai finishes the unbraiding and massages the top of her head knowing how tender it must be from wearing the braids for a long period of time. "Thanks."

"No problem, Bueckers."
