*Flashback; 12 years ago*

"Dad! Dad! Oh please can we go to the fair? Oh pretty please?”

“*chuckle* Oh alright, since when can I refuse my beautiful daughter?”

“You spoil her too much Jason!” My mom says laughing. “Alright, when you come back, I’ll make you the most delicious chocolate chip cookies on earth!”

“Yay! Let's go daddy!” I jump up and down, grabbing my dad’s hand and I pull him to the door.”

“Haha, ok bye my dear.” “Bye darling” “Bleh-” Laughter fills our house and me and my dad head out into the beautiful lanes of Main street.

“Ooooh daddy, can we have some toys? Oh please, oh pleaseeeee?” “Why of course we can, anything for you” I jump in delight at the thought of getting yet another toy for my animal collection. I ran ahead to the stall.

“Ooh the panda is so pretty! I love pink pandas! Daddy, can we get this one? Daddy?” I turned to find him, but I couldn’t see his face anywhere. “Daddy? Are you hiding from me again?” I laughed and saw if I could spot him and then I saw his smiling face. “Daddy! There you are!”

A flash and I looked to see a trail of red on his body. Suddenly things felt wrong, a suffocating feeling. “Daddy….?” His smile didn’t falter as his knees gave way to the ground
