Frowning at the sky, I crossed my arms over my chest. I was sitting in a tree, upon a relatively decent sized branch that overlooked A Dirt path.

I've been dwelling on the Book for the past half an hour or so, but my thoughts would often drift to other things as well.

I had overheard a few Jonin discussing the upcoming Chunin Exams.

And if what I heard was correct, the participants would be arriving over the course of today and tomorrow.

I've traveled past minor villages in most of the Elemental Nations, so I have a good feel of what they may be like. This should be rather interesting indeed.

The rapid patter of footsteps snapped me from my daze. Adjusting my Mask, I shifted into a crouch, my head automatically tilted towards the commotion.

A boy, a few years younger then myself, was being chased by Sakura. Tsk, Tsk. I'm guessing he insulted her in some way or form?

Good on you, brat.

The arrival of Sand Nin surprised me, but not by much. Immediately, I guessed they were here for the Exams.

A black-clad boy with a hood in the shape of Cat Ears snatched up the boy by his collar.

(Heh, funny thing. Forgot what their lines are here. Gonna make them up to what may be similar. ^-^")

"Watch where you're going, you damn brat!" Cat-Ears snarled, his free fist raising in a hitting motion. It seemed that Pinkette had spotted me. Her mouth was agape, and her eyes pleading.

My frown deepened. For this next part, do not think of me as a good person.

Hunching down on the branch, I'd focus a rather decent amount of Chakra into my legs, before shooting forward. The bark exploded where my feet were once planted, and the leaves danced in my wake.

One hand gripping the younger Boys shirt, the other was planted upon the ground. Using the hand that pressed into the dirt,  I'd gather my gained Momentum, before I spun, my left foot viciously striking out at the Sand Nin's knee cap.

He gave a sharp bark of pain, followed by a curse, as my right foot touched the ground, and would kick me forward.

Skidding across the ground, I had the boy in my arms, his fists bunched up in my cloak. Straightening slowly, I grew increasingly irritated at the fact my hood had fallen, releasing a mane of Crimson hair.

"Kankuro!" The blonde girl that stood beside him called, but 'Kankuro' was already standing, looking furious.

"Oi, Dickless, I'm the only one who can call this twirp a brat. Got it?" The young boy was shaking in my grasp, and my nose wrinkled at the clear fear he emitted. I'm not that fucking scary, am I?

"I'm going to fucking kill y-" He paused, freezing as a Stone-cold voice wrung out from the tree I was standing in previously.

"Kankuro." It started, venom lacing each word individually. "Don't be a disgrace to our village." He snapped. I had a good view of him now.

Narrowed Teal eyes surrounding by heavy black rings, and tussled red hair, a shade or two lighter then my own.

"B-but Garra!" How irritating. And disgusting. Kankuro reeked of Fear. I think he pissed himself.

No longer interested, I turned away, before setting the kid down. He darted away from me, before pointing at my now straightening form.

"D-Demon!" He cried, causing my brow to knit together in confusion. I just saved his fucking ass. Ungrateful brat.

"Nobody can move that fast! Naruto, she's scary! Her voice- It's scarier then the other one." By now, My irritation shifted to faint amusement.

The boy was hugging Naruto. The others watched as I slowly approached, a grin stretching across my face beneath my mask. Did he want to see a demon?

The boy was quaking, his eyes wide as I crouched down in front of him.

One of my gloved hands, (I picked up a pair of Black Gloves when I woke up.) Reached up to the bottom of my Glossy Sanguine Mask.

I shifted it to the side, enough that my Silver eyes seemed to Glow from the shadow of my hair. My mouth was spread into a wide grin, in which bore my Triangular, Shark-like teeth.

"Oh, Honey, I am a Demon." I breathed out, a snicker lacing my tone. His eyes were wide, and were glassed over with tears. Pathetic. "Roar." I whispered, before fixing my mask, and turning back to the others.

They were frozen, but not by fear, it seemed. They just watched. Offering a mocking bow, I crossed my arms, before turning so quickly, that my Cloak billowed behind me. As it settled, I began to walk away.

Sasuke was standing in a tree off to the side, watching like a shadow. He clutched a rock, like he was prepared to throw it.

"Wait." The same chilling voice called out. Tipping my head to the side, I frowned at that fact that he was indeed staring at me.

Before I could snap 'what' at him, he continued.

"You're interesting. What is your name?" My frown deepened.

"Akuma no Chi, Brat. At your fucking Service." Opening my arms wide, I tucked one to my chest, before I bowed Again. The red haired boy scowled as I straightened. "How about you?" I had crossed my arms again, already turning away.

"Gaara. Gaara of the Desert." It wrung a bell. I've probably heard of him as I've traveled.

Nodding once, I continued onward, before lurching onto one of the nearby Rooftops, and from there, hopped away. I wanted to see the other Competition in the Exams.

___

Okay, so I went to check out the new arrivals, when I 'accidentally' eavesdropped on the conversation between the Jonin and the Hokage.

Kakashi fucking nominated me.

I'm going into this shit in a Single-cell. How the hell do I face over fifty other people? Alone?

I've barely had time to train, as it is.

Son of a Bitch.

In any case, I was perched atop the Konoha Gates, eyeing the dirt path for new comers.

I was sitting there for nearly.. Two hours now? Before movement caught my eye.

Four figures were approaching

Something akin to excitement ran through me, and a barely concealed grin nearly held reign over my features.

All the other teams that Approached had attempted to give off an intimidating Aura, in which only few succeeded with.

This team was not even trying to look scary. Nearing the Gates, The rather Short girl of their team tripped, and faceplanted. There were two guys on the team, plus their Sensei. The guy on the left, who had a mess of Black hair, Facepalmed, before his shoulders rose and fell with a heavy sigh. The other guy, who appeared to have darker Brown hair, offered his hand to the girl. She had shoulder-length dark blonde hair.

They all bore the Hidden Mist symbol.

After showing the Guards their Passes, the Gates opened, and the four Entered. The Sensei seemed to pause, before he tilted his head back, Onyx-Colored eyes locking with my eyeholes. Offering a wave, I nodded, to which he returned after a moment, before he continued.

Must have thought I was an ANBU or something. What kind of ANBU waves?

Leaping away from the Walls, I decided I had enough with the people-watching.

As I was walking through the Streets of Konoha, I was about to cut through a path that led towards the Training Grounds, when a set of voices hit my ears.

"Screw off, assholes! I told you fuckers, I'm here for the Chunin Exams, not to attack your Village, dammit!" The voice was female, and sounded around my age.

Being the curious thing I am, I investigated. It was the Short girl from before. Bright green eyes were ablaze, as they furiously narrowed upon the trio of Guys that had cornered her. They all had Kunai drawn.

For fuck Sake.

With a frown, I approached slowly, my strides drawn out. "Alright, Ladies, Leave the poor Mouse alone." I sighed, before crossing my arms in my ever familiar pose.

One of the guys turned to me with a sneer. He had a big nose, thin lips, Hazel eyes, and short-cut Brown hair. "She's an intruder!" He snarled, Gesturing with a flick of his Kunai to the still cornered girl.

I gave a sharp bark of laughter. "She's here for the Chunin Exams, Idgits. Now get the fuck out of here before I shove your Kunai's up your fat asses." The guy who spoke to me before paused, his sneer tilting into a frown.

"What will you do if we don't?" His friend addressed me, turning around to eye me with cold brown eyes.

With my right hand, I moved the mask away from my mouth.

Lips widening into a grin, I bore my Shark-like teeth at them, like a feral dog. "Or else? I'll make you." I breathed. That seemed to get them. Big-nose grabbed his friends arm, before giving it a sudden jerk.

"Give it up! Let's go." He whispered, but my elf-like ears caught it.

The trio sprinted past me, and I adjusted my Mask in place. The girl glanced at me cautiously, as if I would be the next to attack her. "If I was planning to do you harm, I wouldn't have scared those guys off." I Jutted my hand out with a sigh. "Name's Akuma." I nodded, and her expression shifted into a small smile.

"I'm Akarui. Akarui Ko." She took my hand and shook it once, before we let go. "Thanks, man. I didn't think Konoha Nin were so.. Hostile." She sighed.

"They aren't. Or.. we aren't. They were just assholes." We both laughed, although mine was more.. Quiet.

"Akarui!" A voice called. Akarui glanced over my shoulder and waved.

"Kuro!" She grinned.

"Akarui, move!" Akarui looked confused,  and my ears started twitching. Out of instinct, I ducked, and a Kunai that was aimed for my back sailed over my head, and bounced off the far wall with a metallic clang.

"Kuro! Wait! She helped me, don't hurt her!" When I didn't feel any further changes in the surrounding air currents that could alert me of danger, I straightened and turned with a scowl.

The boy with black hair frowned at me, pale blue eyes narrowed. He was silently asking for an explanation, so I let Akarui speak.

"I was cornered by some other Genin, They were threatening me. Akuma-chan helped me." She said quickly, as if all in one breath. Kuro glanced at me, silent when she finished.

"Then I should be thanking you. Sorry. Name's Kuro. You're Akuma, yes?" He asked, putting away the Kunai he held.

I nodded wordlessly, before stuffing my hands into my pockets. "It's not a problem. Second time today I.. 'saved' someone, actually. First one didn't have a very kind reaction, though." I shrugged, before rocking back and forth, from toes to heel. These Mist-Nin were interesting.

"Come join us for Dinner! Oh. Uh.. do you know anywhere good we can eat around here?" Akarui chuckled, and moved to stand beside Kuro, she tripped, and faceplanted. Kuro facepalmed, and I grinned. "I do. Come on." I walked off, and Kuro followed.

"Guuuuuuys! Wait for me!" Akarui wailed behind us, before scrambling to stand and jog to catch up.

I think I like this team.

___

Heeey.

I wanted to open up another Pairing option, so you guys have two possible  people she could end up with.

Okay? Okay.

Until next time, Friends!
