"My father said some words I can't say about you," a young puppy pointed out, blinking her blue eyes up at Gidget innocently before her father pulled her away. Getting back into her cruiser, Gidget slammed her forehead on the steering wheel. She had been stuck with parking duty again. She was sick of it. Wondering why she couldn't catch a break, she suddenly heard someone jump over her cruiser. Looking up, the small dog saw a hairless feline running with a bag.

"Stop that thief!" a chihuahua cried, running out of a florist shop. Racing over to Gidget, he exclaimed, "He just robbed me!" The tiny canine didn't even finish saying that when Gidget jumped out of her cruiser and took off running after the cat. Now this was what she had been waiting for. The chance to prove that she could save the day from criminals such as the one in front of her.

Peering over his shoulder to see that he was being chased, the hairless cat gripped his bag a little tighter as he ran faster. Gritting her teeth into a snarl, Gidget also picked up the pace. She was dead determined to catch this criminal. She was closing in. Reaching her paw out, she managed to grab the feline's bag. Sensing this, the cat struggled to keep a hold on it.

There was a loud ripping noise.

The next thing Gidget knew, there were seed packets flying through the air. She had expected money instead. Turning to face the hairless cat, she saw that he was running away from her still. In his departure, he shoved a basset hound puppy accidentally. The young pup fell on the street just as a car came around the corner. Reacting instantly, Gidget scooped up the kid in the nick of time.

Laying on her back on the sidewalk with the puppy cradled in her arms, Gidget noticed that the cat had gotten away and a fellow police officer was coming over with a look of disappointment on his face.
