I need to get something straight.
And it's been eating at me for days now.
I only ship historical Lams.
Like, I don't ship the whole "if they were a couple they would be so cute" thing. I only ship lams because it's in a way "historically accurate."
In another context, I would ship Hamgelica, because it's historically accurate.
I've been rethinking Hamilton, and then I had a wake up call and wondered "why are we shipping people from 200 years ago?"
There's a lot of people out there that ship different things that don't make sense (if you have seen the hamreynolds video on YouTube, you know what I'm talking about. Don't get me wrong tho, because that video is quite funny), like mullete, or mariliza.
For me, I like to keep ships and the fandom a different thing to "Historically correct Hamilton".
So why am I writing this fanfic?
I guess because I also think that all the characters that are Un-historically shipped aren't from Hamilton, that they're like, completely different people, just based off of the Hamilton characters.
It's also good writing practice.
What I'm trying to say is that I only ship characters that are historically accurate. I only add in other ships because it's just... typical for fanfictions to have them. I don't ship mullete. Or meggy.
If you do ship these I have absolutely no problem with that. Not at all. Good on you for being creative, tho
