No lams. I just like to put a warning because when i read las books, i only like the lams chapters and not other chapters that focus entirely on a different ship.
A short ass interlude for Peggy. Oof.
This is Peggy's point of view. When Peggy went out of the lounge room to go check on Maria, this is what happens in between.

Peggy
Noticing that Maria had a stunned and worrisome expression on her face, I abruptly stood up an strode into the garden. I didn't even think. I more so likely missed her company, as well as worried for her concern struck face.

Of course, things were unbelievably awkward between us, seeing how I had heard everything Alex and Maria said last night. But I was still curious to see who had rung her to make her so nervous, and if it was that asshole of a boyfriend, all his shitty Christmas presents he gets won't top my punch to the face i give to him as a Christmas present. Merry Christmas, you fuckstick.

I nearly (and not surprisingly) stumbled over the small cactus pot plant that I named Venus when i was around 7 years old. I named everything when i was younger. Cornelia's piano, the dining hall chandelier, and the pencil i kept in my hair for months for "just in case", although i never used it. Dad or mum never found out about it- it was never shown until i took it out.

Maria's voice was slightly shaky but easy to find where it was coming from- and in following it, I dodged around hedges and bushes, where she was fidgeting mindlessly while mumbling on the phone, picking off bush leaves and ripping them apart. She didn't appear to acknowledge I was there, standing a few meters away from her.

"I-I know, Susan is w-with my m-mother." Maria finally turned around to meet my eyes, but gazed down to the ground alarmingly. "I'm not lying, James. It's cold where i am." She paused, pressing her ear even tighter into the phone. "Yes, James. I'm sorry for snapping."

So it is James. My teeth clenched tightly at the thought of that nut case snarling incoherently at her. I didn't like to show my negative feelings about others towards people, and I tried to keep an open mind about everyone- but there was no excuse for that asshole.

Maria's voice cut through my thoughts. "You're- what?" She silently placed a hand slightly at her heart, looking up into the sky with a relived smile. "Why?...Oh. I see. I'm sorry." Maria seemed to be holding back her smile as she spoke. "Well, I wish well for you. J-James...Alright." Her phone finally left her ear into the palms of her hand as she turned wide eyed to me. "Wow."

"Um." I blinked in response, slightly monotoning my voice. "What happened?"

A small breeze blew by. It triggered a tiny, small memory- or was it a dream? A source from my mind from goodness knows where. And while I stood there in the gardens of my home, staring straight at this girl, i was reminded of this source.

Specifically only the unrealistic clouds moved, rapidly flying past at what was a regular pace but felt like a time lapse on a camera. And the main focus on this memory was a girl with a vibrant red coat one that was pulled straight out of Annie the Musical. Her hair was flowing endlessly from the slight breeze, too strong for only just a breeze to fly past. That was the thing about it. Nothing in that dream, or memory, or source was realistic. This girl wasn't realistic.

She was magical. Mystical. Too real for my living being to comprehend.

But the identity of this girl had remained unknown for my whole life. Mainly because it was one of those memory's that flash by for a second then disappear. But now, that nostalgic memory was strong and cannot be pushed down.

And now that i looked up at that woman in front of me, it matched up. The clouds, the breeze, the girl. The mystical girl. Maria. She was the magical girl that stood in front of me. No matter how many times i could undo it, she would always be the enchanted woman I pictured in the memory.

I shook my head internally, scolding myself. I had overthought things again. I needed to stop doing this.

Thank god Maria hadn't answered my question, otherwise I'd look like one of those teens who dazes off about their crush while one of their friends talk. Once again, I'm overthinking.

"James broke up with me." Maria spoke through the silence, cracking the deafening quiet like a whip.

My heart did not pang, nor did i feel light hearted once more, as I didn't feel in the moment. I felt drizzled off, although i heard Maria, it hadn't sunk in.

"This means I'm free." The young woman in the red coat smiled widely at me with a containment of excitement. And with that, it finally seemed to click.

My eyes widened as I grinned, jumping at her with a laugh. "Holy shit! That's awesome!"

We didn't exchange any conversation as I folded my fingers onto her palm and tugged her inside. We didn't need words. We both knew what we wanted- love. We didn't need to ask. We just already knew we were.

Maria, the enchanted, mysterious girl i pictured unknowingly for years, finally revealed herself to me, in a way. I wouldn't like to call myself her girlfriend, but...

This, I smiled down humbly at her hand grasping onto mine enthusiastically, this is a start.

The shortest thing I've ever made. I literally made this all in a span of a few hours sksksksk
I am EXTREMELY BEHIND ON MY NOTIFICATIONS. IF YOU HAVE COMMENTED, I MIGHT NOT ANSWER. IM GOING AS FAST AS I CAN TO READ THIS PILE THAT HAS BEEN BUILDING UP FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS.
About the love, Simon AU, I'm going to hold that off until i finish this. I'm pretty sure only a few more chapters to go.
Also, this was a bit hard to write? I'm not good with meggy shit. I just... didn't feel the character.

If you want an Easter egg, look at each of the titles of each chapter. You might find a similarity.

If you got it, who's next? ;)
