Miko's P.O.V.

I ducked.

I don't know why, but something in Sesshomaru's angry eyes told me to duck. So, I did. As Sesshomaru came at me, I ducked at last minute. Sesshomaru went flying over me! Seeming as I was on the ground with my eyes closed, I couldn't see what was going on. Though I did hear trees snapping and falling, along with a 'whoosh!' 'Probably Kagura' I thought as I stayed there, on the cold hard ground, still as I could be without shaking from the fear of almost getting killed by the great Lord himself. "What a nuisance! Daring to hurt Rin!" Said an annoying squeaky voice. 'No doubt its Jaken. That annoying-' my thoughts were interrupted when I head a voice I knew far too well. "Get up Miko." Sesshomaru said in his normal plain voice that was monotone. I sat up and opened my eyes. I turned my head to see around 5 trees cut clean and Sesshomaru standing tall and proud. He was also looking at me with his normal cold gold eyes. I stood up and dusted myself off. Afterwards, I froze. I realized that I was wearing different clothing from the rest of them. I looked down with a small blush of stupidity. " Um... Lord Sesshomaru?" I didn't dare look up, because 1: I don't want to be hit in the back of the head by Jaken, and 2: Well... I want to show Sesshomaru that I know my place. "Hn." Was all I got from Sesshomaru. Signaling that he was listening. "Um. Is it alright if I changed in those bushes over there? I'm wearing clothing that shouldn't even exist and I don't want to cause unwanted attention to wards you so..." I tilted my head upward ever so slightly so I could see what he thought about it. Sesshomaru gave a slight nod that, if you weren't paying attention, you would have missed it. I bowed quickly before grabbing my ruck sack and went behind the bushes.

*short time skip to after Miko is done changing*

Still Miko's P.O.V.

I decided to change into my short black kimono. The one with crimson red sakura designs on the shoulder and bottom edge of the short kimono. It also has gold riming. I came out of the bushes to see Sesshomaru, Jaken, Ah-Un, and Rin were waiting for me. Rin looked at me in amazement while Sesshomaru raised a brow. Jaken however, was livid. "Wench! How dare you wear such clothing in front of Lord Sesshomaru!! You ungreatful-"" I could tell he would have said more in it wasn't for the glare Jaken got from Sesshomaru. "Um. Just so you know, my name is Miko. Remember that." I said in a semi cold voice just so I got my point across. After that, we started walking. Ah and Un seemed to like me, for they wouldn't let me get off their back and would smack Jaken whenever he wanted to insult me, which was a lot. I noticed out of the corner of my eyes, Sesshomaru would glance at me over his shoulder with a hint of interest and wonder in his eyes before he looked forward again. This happened all day. I would talk to Rin, she'd laugh, Jaken would tell her to shut up and insult me for being here, Ah-Un would slap him with their tail or Sesshomaru would throw a pebble hard and it would hit Jaken in the head, Sesshomaru would keep walking with Ah-Un following him with Rin and I on their back leaving Jaken behind, I would giggle quieting at what happened to Jaken and I would catch Sesshomaru looking at me over his shoulder with interest and wonder in his eyes. When he would catch me catching him, he would turn his head forward like nothing happened. We stopped by a lake with a lot of fish in it. I heard Rin's stomach growl from hunger. I turn to Sesshomaru, who was sitting in the shade under a tree with his eyes closed. "Lord Sesshomaru." I sad in a polite voice. "Hn" I heard Sesshomaru say. " May Rin and I go into the lake and catch some fish for lunch? Rin is hungry and she needs to eat." I caught Sesshomaru give a sight nod. I walked into the lake with Rin following me. I caught at least three and Rin caught one. We walked out of the water and layed the fish lightly on the ground. "Rin. Can you please get some firewood so we can cook these?" Rin nodded happily and ran off into the woods while I killed and gutted the fish. Rin came back with two arm fills of firewood. I smiled at her. "Thank you Rin. Here. I'll take these and you can sewer the fish on these sticks okay?" I said as I took the firewood gently away from her. "Okay!" Rin said as she got to work on the fish. I smiled as I set the wood up. I found two stones and stroked them together. Jaken was about to say how stupid I was until he say the sparks from the rocks land on the firewood and create a fire. " Rin. You almost done?" I called to her. "Yup! Here!" Rin gave me the sticks with the fish skewer on. I placed them over the fire and sat down close to the fire, keep an eye on the food so it doesn't burn. I notice Rin looking at me like she wanted to say something to me but she was scared of something to say it. "Rin? Is something wrong?" Rin looked shocked. "Un. No. I was just wondering..." Rin said looking down and fiddling with her hands. "Yes? What is it?" I said in a calm gentle voice. "Co-could you sing a song? Please?" I will admit, I was shocked that Rin would ask this. I covered up my shock with a smile. "Of course Rin. Come here." I said calmly towards her. Rin came over and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her. "Now. What song would you like?" I asked Rin. Rin looked thoughtful. "I don't know. Surprise me!" Rin said with excitement. I chuckled. "Alright. Let me think for a moment." I said as I tried to think of a good song that Rin would like. I though of one. "Alright. Here we go." I took a deep breath and sung.

Still Miko's P.O.V.

After I was done singing, I opened my eyes that I haven't realized they were closed. I looked down at Rin to see her looking at me with wide eyes of amazement. I smiled at her. "You like?" Rin gave a smile that went from ear to ear. "I LOVED it!" Rin yells and giggled at the same time. I chuckled. "Here. Let me get up to see if food is done" I said. Rin nodded and got up, giving ma access to see if the fish were done. They were. "Rin! Jaken! Ah-Un! Foods done!" I called as I gave everyone (minus Sesshomaru and myself) their piece of fish. After they ate, Rin went and slept on Ah-Un's side and Jaken slept against a tree, hugging his staff of two heads like a teddy bear. I was about to lay down by the fire when Sesshomaru stood beside me. "Come." Was all he said as he started walking into the woods. I followed behind him. We stopped in another clearing not to far from our camp site. I looked around in amazement at the beauty in front of me. The moon bathed the while flowers in a beautiful glow. It was so breath taking, I failed to notice a figure coming up behind me. Before I knew it, I was smacked in the head and collapsed into someone's arms. I looked at Sesshomaru to see him running towards me. Everything started to go blurry. 'Dammit!' I thought as I lost conscious.
