a wiry, lean-muscled female belgian malinois mostly fawn in color with a black face, legs and chest. though she does have a small white mark within the black of her chest. her eyes are round and colored a dark honey amber.

-kathika is a beautiful female belgian malinois, though there is nothing too special about her size-wise, except that she is on the smaller end of the spectrum, weighing around fifty pounds and standing at twenty-three inches tall. squarely-built and well-muscled, the dame is a bit of a force to be reckoned with, and while she isn't the biggest canine out there, her attitude more than makes up for it. the canine is well-balanced not out-of-proportion at all, with a proud head-carriage and very feminine appearance to match her thinner and more petite structure. her ears are triangular in shape and are set stiffly on a strong, clean-cut head. with withers slightly higher than the slope of her back,  she is built strong and sturdy without appearing so, her tail has a strong base and is usually carried rather high to display her dominance with the end slightly curling inwards. the canine has long, oblique shoulders with straight, long legs that are muscular without appearing bulky. per her breed, the canid has round cat-like feet that grant her silence and grace with each movement. the female has well-muscled thighs, without them appearing to be bulky and her hind paws are a little longer than her forepaws. the female has curved black claws, as well as dewclaws, for she didn't have hers removed. overall the beautiful female conveys strength, power and nobility without appearing to be bulky, out of proportion or like she was bred for a fighting arena.

-the female, while her pelt color is rather common, the fawn and the black, on the malinois it can only be described as exquisite. the standard fawn color takes it mark as the female's primary color for it can be found along her back, her tail, and most of the way down her legs. the fawn color comes in two shades, one being a rich red-fawn and the other being a very light off-white color that meld together, and in some parts, like her tail and the back of her legs, the darker color fades into the lighter. the second-most apparent color on the dame is a rich ebony black, similar to the color of obsidian, with the same luster. this rich color of pelgae can be found on the dog's face, head, ears, chest, tail-tip and paws. though she has a little bit of the black markings strewn across her tail. on top of that, kathika has a small jagged circle of white in the middle of her chest, outlined in the black. her coat itself is rather short and straight and hardy. it keeps her warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and it is soft to the touch. and while it is considered 'short,' when compared to short-furred breeds, it can be considered on the long side. though her pelt is much shorter on her head, lower legs and ears. her pelt conforms to her body and doesn't necessarily hang down, though it is longer on her neck, tail and the back of her upper hind legs. the female isn't densely coated in scars, just the odd nicks and mars that she has earned through her job. though the only visible ones can be found where her pelt in shorter, like on her lower legs. she does have a line on her muzzle where the fur parts due to her often wearing a muzzle, the same goes for the fur around her neck where her collar sits, and on her chest and back where her harnesses lay.

-kathika has beautiful eyes of a dark honey-amber, they are rounded in shape, with a slight taper towards the end, making them slightly the shape of an almond, though one could consider them to be round and ignore the ever-so-slight taper. her eyes are of medium sized and are able to casually blend into her face due to the black eye rims. the color of her eyes themselves, though can basically be summed up as a dark honey-amber, upon closer inspection can other colors be found. her eyes are the lightest at the edge of her irises, and steadily darken to a near-black around her pupil. however, when reflecting the sun's light, her eyes appear to be a whole few shades lighter, and one can actually see where her iris stops and her pupil begins. the malinois' gaze is always bright and fiery, alert and ready to go. nothing get past her watchful gaze, and many are entranced by her beautiful optics. either they are stopped by their brightness, their intensity, or just their coloration. the female's gaze is quick to betray her emotions, not like she cares much, since it usually doesn't waver from a hellfire or from a cold glare, except around her handler when her gaze is more open and friendly.

-kathika is not a very loud or flamboyant canine, she does keep to herself unless provoked. she isn't an instigator at all and while she doesn't unnecessarily avoid conflict, she doesn't go searching for trouble to start, or to join. this female is hardly confrontational, only being so around other dogs that challenge her authority or flat out ignore her rules. outside of that, the female is typically quiet, and does her own thing. one may wonder, if all of this, then why is she usually muzzled, and the answer to that is simple, when the female goes off, she doesn't just bark or tell another canine off, for she hardly uses her words, she just attacks. many don't see it coming as even just one look can set her off. the malinois has been known to bite people if they are in her way as well. the police dog usually behaves if she is kept by herself or has work to focus on since she is very driven, as she likes having something to do. because the canine doesn't speak to near anyone, outside of giving them orders, no dog really knows a lot about her, which the dame is fine with. she rather prefers to be a bit of a mystery, for to know much about an individual could cause said individual to become a threat.

-the female is not a doormat by any stretch of the imagination. in fact, she is a very forward or headstrong individual, she likes things her way and if they don't go that way then she will do it herself. because of this, the malinois is very good at her job because she doesn't allow for distractions or other canines to get in her way and change her tactic or try to divert her attention. even her handler struggles to stop the dog from doing a task she deems necessary. her message to others is 'stand with me or get out of my way' and those that still try to stand in her way will get run over or at least, forcibly moved out of her way. kathika is rather independent and has no need or use for any dog, or human, that is going to question her or try to divert her attention, like a mate. to challenge her would be to challenge a wildfire, she will just keep going, burning everything in her path and growing stronger with each little adversity. however, her forward personality can be combated by her thinking that everyone is against her and everyone wants to bring her down, hence why even the slightest wrong look can cause her to go off. she has no filter, and when looking at an opponent, especially a larger one, she doesn't see a size difference and is always ready to beat them up.

-kathika is very much an alpha-type, she has to be the boss, and she has to be dominant. she doesn't take shit from anyone, whether they are suggesting something to her or straight up disrespecting her, the malinois will not have it. and though most of the dogs are respectful and know that she is the boss, a few of the canines like to test her. though she puts them in their place when they do. and of course, like every leader, she has a few trusted dogs that give her advice and help keep the peace. and for her, while she doesn't necessarily trust them, she is more inclined to listen. being an alpha-type requires the dog to have a cool head, but that goes out the window, the female will only have a cool head in the situation calls for that, and that has to be the only thing that can work. but typically when she is out working, she is pretty calm and relaxed since she is usually the only dog. the only commands the dog listens to are the ones gives to her by her handler, because she trusts his judgement and perceives them merely as suggestions. however, if his tone changes to a more commanding one, then she will be stubborn and a lot less likely to listen to him.

-echt; a lean, lanky silver sable male belgian malinois with a black mask and black paws. he was a stud picked out for his good brains and drive, though he wasn't that friendly of a canine, but since he was meant to produce working dogs and not pets, that aspect of him was overlooked. he only met with kathika's mother once to breed, then he went back to work at another station. since kathika never got to meet her father, her mother made up a few stories about him to keep her pups entertained. and she told them that he was a war hero and had been all over the country to work at different crime scenes. the only correct part was that echt had been overseas where he worked as a gun-sniffing dog, but he was placed back in the states when their need for dogs wasn't so high; echt never got to meet his pups, and because he has fathered so many litters, he doesn't even remember them; alive; not in roleplay

-lainey; a smaller fawn female belgian malinois with a black mask and a small white mark on her chest. this female was very calm, friendly and intelligent beyond measure, and she was chosen to mother some pups because of her level-headedness and her intellect. though she wasn't a working dog and came from a show-line, retiring early due to her owner losing interest in the sport. she eventually moved on to live with the police chief to have pups and to entertain his kids; kathika and lainey got along well-ish, kathika inherited her father's mental ability and her mother's beauty, so mentally she clashed with her mother often since her mother had the 'i am the mom, you listen to me' way of thinking and kathika was 'i am my own boss' type thinker. so they did argue a bit, but they were family and that always won out in the end; alive; not in roleplay

-junction; a thin, long-legged fawn male belgian malinois with a black face and legs. this male was the runt of the litter and he behaved as such. quite winy and annoying, he was always glued to his mother's side and tried to copy everything that she did. though, not always with the same grace, he pissed off his sisters to no end, but his behavior was always overlooked because he was the only boy and he was the runt. but the females didn't care after a while. junction ended up being adopted out to a family that lived on a farm because he didn't have the mental capacity to be a police dog, so he went to be their pet. it seemed he had inherited nothing positive except his looks from his parents; junction and kathika didn't really get along, seeing as they usually butted heads and argued. she was rather glad when he left to find a new home and she doesn't think about him anymore; alive; not in roleplay

-lola; a beautiful, small, silver sable female belgian malinois with no black markings. this female inherited everything good from her sire and dam, she had the intelligence, the work drive, the looks and the kindness. she had her two sisters were always side-by-side and tackled everything in their lives together. lola was more a social dog and sought that connection with her mother and junction, which worked in her favor for it seemed no dog could escape her charm. she remained at the police station and was given to her handler because she was new and they felt she would benefit from training a kind and eager dog; lola and kathika always remained close, lola is now one of kathika's most trusted dogs and when they aren't working, they are with their other sister, just talking. lola has mothered a couple litters with her long-time mate, patroclus, a doberman, and one of her pups, kira, is the third canine of kathika's trust. their handlers are siblings, so they see each other quite often which only strengthens their bond.

-aphrodite; an average sized, lithe mahogany colored female belgian malinois with a black, face, head, legs and chest. a gorgeous canine, but a quiet one. she is a bit of a doormat, around her sisters and around handsome male dogs. not that she minds. she was the least social of her sisters, to the point where kathika and lola had to force her to join them during familial gatherings. she loves both her sisters dearly, and her handler is in a relationship with lola's handler, so their bond remains strong; kathika and aphrodite are very close, they often go on missions together, usually lola goes on those missions too, but she has been having pups so she stands by to take care of them. which means kira gets to tag along. the sisters are not likely to separate themselves any time soon; alive; not in roleplay
