Ichigo POV

[After the successful kissing with Plantation 26, Squad 13 was given a special vacation at a secluded beach where the children see the ocean for the first time]

Zorome/Futoshi: This is so exciting!

Miku: They're so childish.

Kokoro: It can't be helped. It's our first time being at an ocean we can swim in.

Ikuno: I didn't think such a place existed on the surface.

[We have been living under extreme stress since arriving at the plantation. I'm talking with Goro]

Ichigo: Nana will pick us up in the morning.

Goro: I wonder if it's some type of training.

[I just smile to myself thinking of me and Zero hanging out together. Goro notices this]

Goro: What are you so happy about?

Ichigo: Nothing. We should just enjoy ourselves.

[I lied]

Goro: You're probably thinking about him. Whatever.

[I get angry]

Ichigo: What do you have against him?

Goro: I'm tired of hearing you talking about him. He isn't a faithful guy. You deserve someone who is more faithful. You're chasing after a guy you can't have.

Ichigo: I know that I'm not the only after him but that doesn't mean I'll go down without a fight.

Goro: You won't win against Zero Two.

Ichigo: I'm not just talking about Zero Two. I'm also talking about the other girls.

Goro: He's attracted all of you! How are we supposed to pilot the FRANXX?

Ichigo: We'll find a way.

Goro: What if that doesn't work?

Ichigo: We'll find a way!

[Goro stares at me]

Ichigo: He more of a man than any of you boys combined. You should just accept that.

[I head out to leave]

Ichigo: I might not be the only one but I don't care. If it means that I have to share him, I'm more than willing.

[I leave. I never want to talk to Goro again. I'll find a way to pilot the FRANXX but I'm done with him talking Zero down]

3rd Person POV

[At the beach, the group arrives. Zero Two stands near Zero who is smiling to himself. The boys run away but the girls stay close to watch what Zero Two was planning]

Zero Two: I like that you've accepted your horns.

Zero: You helped me.

[Zero Two giggles. She then does a pose]

Zero Two: How do I look in this swimsuit?

Miku: Gross! Why are you asking him that?

Zero Two: Because I want his opinion of course.

Zero: You look great, Zero Two.

Zero Two: (Giggles) Thank you, Darling.

Miku: That's so gross.

[Ichigo steps forward]

Ichigo: What about me, Zero? How do I look?

[The girls are shocked at Ichigo's question. Zero Two smiles]

Zero Two: How bold.

Zero: You look very cute, Ichigo.

Miku: You two are unbelievable.

Kokoro: I would also like to know! What about me, Zero?

Miku: Kokoro!

Ikuno: I'm not surprised she asked.

Zero: You look beautiful, Kokoro. Like a princess.

[Kokoro turns very red while Zero Two just laughs]

Miku: Well I could care less what you thought!

Ikuno: I would actually like to know.

Miku: Ikuno, you too!

Ikuno: Everyone else is doing it. So, what do you think, Zero?

Zero: The swimsuit matches your frame nicely, Ikuno.

[Ikuno blushes and quickly turns away. Zero Two laughs some more]

Miku: Well, I am not asking you.

Zero: Fine. I won't tell you what I think.

[Zero and Zero Two start to walk away. Miku's will breaks]

Miku: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW!

Zero: Oh, you would like to know?

Miku: Yes.

Zeroi: That suit only adds on to your already great appeal, Miku. Even if you don't show it very often.

[Zero and Zero Two walk away]

Miku: What's that supposed to mean?

[Zero Two pulls Zero to the water and they laugh as she splashes him. Hiro joins to the two. The group discusses how Hiro happy is and his great ability as an official parasite. Although Ichigo feels uncomfortable about Zero Two, she could see that Zero Two was what he needed]

[At APE HQ]

Gorilla: Amazing. Zero Two's search for a partner has finally ended.

Marmoset: She still needs to be monitored closely.

Papa: Plantation 13 should be our top priority survelliance subject. Code 016 is tasked with bringer her to the Gran Crevasse. If he fails, then 000 will do so.

[Hachi talks to Nana]

Hachi: One of APE's special forces has become a plantation's exclusive parasite.

[Nana introduces Hiro to Dr. FRANXX, the creator of FRANXX. She also tries introducing Hiro to 9'α, but...]

Dr. FRANXX: There is no need. Hiro is the second person to survive Zero Two. I have no interest in the others.

Nana: Would you like to speak to him then?

Dr. FRANXX: There is no need. He is still angry with me. He has every right to be.

[Hachi talks to Dr, FRANXX]

Hachi: Strelizia and Code 002 are transferred into Plantation 13's purview.

[Hachi speaks to Zero Two, Zero, and Hiro]

Hachi: Zero Two and Hiro, you're now official partners!

[The three share a hug]

Hachi: I do not know what he is planning with this arrangement.

Nana: What I want to know is why he sent the children to the beach alone?

[At the beach, Kokoro serves a ball to Miku]

Futoshi: What a view!

Zorome: You can say that again! They just got 50% cuter!

Goro: Yeah.

Futoshi: I thought double digits were different then triple digits.

Goro: Shut up! I'm a guy just like you!

[Kokoro and Miku fall to the ground. After colliding...]

Kokro: Miku, your swimsuit strap is coming undone!

Zorome/Futoshi/Goro: WHAT!

[The boys then look at Zero and Zero Two as the two swim together. Zero follows Zero Two further into the water]

Zero Two: It feels nice to swim in the ocean.

Zero: You really do look great.

Zero Two: Thank you, darling. You do too. So fit.

Zero: I am to please. Now come over here.

[Zero Two licks Zero instead of kissing him]

Zero: Sly girl.

Zero Two: What were you expecting?

Zero: You're declaration of love.

Zero Two: I love you too, darling. No one else.

[Zero Two wraps her arms around Zero]

Zero Two: However, I'm not the only one who loves you.

[Zero Two looks into Zero's eyes]

Zero Two: You're hiding something from me.

Zero: Really? What exactly?

Zero Two: Have you kissed someone else besides me?

Zero: Just a second.

[Before Zero can answer, Goro, Zorome, and Futoshi try to pull Zero underwater but Zero sees it coming. Ichigo watches the other kids]

Ikuno: Are you distracted by the ocean?

[Silence]

Ikuno: Are you going to swim? You're good at it.

[Silence. Ikuno pulls out a book]

Ikuno: Go enjoy yourself.

Ichigo: Thanks, Ikuno.

[Ichigo runs off. As Ikuno begins to read, Mitsuru walks over]

Mitsuru: Did you just come to read?

Ikuno: I'm not interested in goofing around.

Mitsuru: So Zero is an interesting guy.

Ikuno: I don't know what you're talking about.

Mitsuru: Don't act like you don't know. You better make a move because you're tied for last place.

Ikuno: Whatever.

Mitsuru: Listen. I found something interesting.

[The boys surround Zero]

Zorome: What is a "kiss" and how does it work?

Zero: Why would you like to know?

Hiro: I know!

Futoshi: Then what is it?

Hiro: I can't explain exactly. It's when two people stick their mouths together. It made me feel good. I guess that's how Zero feels too.

Boys: Wow.

[Before Zorome could plant a kiss on Hiro to experiment...]

Ichigo: What are you doing?

Zorome: What about you, Ichigo? Have you ever kissed anyone?

[Before she could answer]

Kokoro: Guys. Come over here!

Miku: We found something!

[Mitsuru leads the squad into a secret passageway]

Zorome: This is exciting!

Kokoro: I'm scared of the dark.

Mitsuru: You didn't have to come if you didn't want to.

Futoshi: Mitsuru, apologize!

Zero: It's okay. I'll protect all of you.

Mitsuru: All that I was saying was that I couldn't guarantee your safety.

Goro: Is there a relationship closer to being partners like Zero and Zero Two.

Zero: Why would you like to know?

Goro: I'm curious about what's the difference between Zero Two's and Ichigo's relationship with you!

Zero: Who said there was a difference?

Goro: You mean that you have a relationship with Ichigo like you have with Zero Two?

Zero: Maybe. We're working on it.

[Ikuno touches Ichigo's cheek, which surprises Ichigo]

Ikuno: You're blushing.

Ichigo: It's nothing.

[Squad 13 is lead to what appears to be an abandoned city]

Zorome: This is very different from the cities where the adults live now.

Kokoro: Do people live here?

Mitsuru: I've never heard of anyone living outside the plantations.

[Zorome, Miku, Futoshi, and Ikuno find a mansion]

Zorome: It's smaller than our place.

Ikuno: Correct. It was used as a model to build what we live in.

Zero: Smart girl.

[Ikuno blushes but quickly hides it]

Futoshi: Guys, Kokoro is missing!

[Meanwhile, Kokoro explores a medical office and picks up a book about childbirth]

Zero: What are you doing here?

[A bookshelf starts to fall]

Zero: Look out!

[Zero pulls her out of the way]

Zero: You okay?

Kokoro: I am now.

[Ichigo comes to a bookstore where she sees a poster featuring a kissing couple and thinks about her own kiss with Zero. Zero Two suddenly appears behind her]

Zero Two: I've done that with darling. We do it all the time.

Ichigo: (Startled) What do you mean?

Zero Two: "Kiss." You're probably not ready for it yet.

Ichigo: I've kissed someone.

Zero Two: Who? It can only be done with someone special to you.

[Before she can answer]

Zero: Darling, Strawberry, time to go!

[As the group walk back to the beach, they discuss about how and why past civilizations lived in and left the abandoned cities they had found]

Zero Two: They abandon it. Humans used to live on the surface.

Zero: There were many cities like this around the world.

[After having eaten]

Zero Two: Darling, I'm going to swim some more.

[As the squad sits around the campfire]

Hiro: Why do you think that humanity abandoned the surface? If humanity didn't start extracting magma energy, the klaxosaurs wouldn't have shown up.

Mitsuru: Papa moved people into plantations in order to protect mankind. Don't doubt him.

[Zero laughs]

Mitsuru: What's so funny?

Zero: Nothing. Don't worry about it.

Zorome: It's so awesome that we are the ones able to protect the adults from harm with our FRANXX.

Ichigo: Hiro, I officially welcome you and Zero Two to Squad 13.

Hiro: Thank you.

[As the group all sleep together, Ichigo, wide awake, notices Zero walk out to the beach and follows him]

Zero: Why are you following me?

Ichigo: I couldn't sleep.

Zero: Yeah. I felt like it would've been a waste.

Ichigo: Look at the stars. There is Orion! We used to talk about the stars all the time. You used to teach me. Do you remember the 'Ichigo' star?

Zero: Of course. It's the fifteenth star of Orion. The same as your code. We promised to see it together after leaving the garden.

[They continue to walk down the beach together]

Ichigo: We all have to do our best. I'll do my best as the leader. Just don't give all of your attention to Zero Two. That kiss I gave you, it was special. I want to be with...

[A shooting star appears]

Zero: Look at the shooting star!

[Silence]

Zero: I want to be with you too, Ichigo.

Ichigo: What?

Zero: Huh?

Ichigo: What did you say?

Zero: I didn't say anything.

Ichigo: Oh.

[The rest of the squad continue to sleep, but Zero Two watches from a rock]

Ichigo POV

[The stars trails shone brightly, just like them and gave us gentle rays of hope]

Zero: If you wish on a shooting star, it will come true.

[Silence]

Zero: What did you wish for?

Ichigo: I tried to tell you, stupid.

[Zero chases me down the beach. I wished for the light to never fade]
