I didn't know what was worse, the fact that my head was killing me each passing second or the angel that survived beside me talking endlessly on his phone. He still had a pink cast wrapped around his shoulder, much to his dismay about it ruining his masculinity, and they let him out when he recovered in these three days.

That gnawing feeling inside of me when it came down to the investigation and the fact that I killed someone kept aching to intensify my fear and I felt agonized once again. It was like I couldn't ever be happy without my thoughts ruining it.

"Yeah," Levy sighed when he replied to his dad as his fingers swept his hair out of his eyes, the left scar showing, "I get it, dad, no more going without you," he rolled his eyes and fake gagged in front of me making me laugh in response.

We had finals to catch up on and the fact that I took an day extra for the date we were supposed to arrive back, which made me panic.

The moment Levy finished the call, he was dismayed at my exhausted face.

"What's wrong? you look like you saw a ghost," he commented with concerned eyes.

"Oh, maybe the fact that our finals are two days after," I bit back in sarcasm and he chuckled looking as relaxed as a panda in hibernation.

"I will help you, don't stress, it will give you wrinkles," he informed with a cheeky smile and I rolled my eyes with a huff escaping my chapped lips.

Mrs. Christina was busy listening to classical music to ease her nerves and we were almost back to the special place I called home. Well, it's their home but Mrs. Christina was titled as my guardian so it's my home too.

A small smile on my face met Levy's eyes and turned his cheeky smile into a full-blown smile, he reached my face and kissed my head.

"I missed you," he whispered before going into a kissing spree all over my face, I tried not to giggle so Mrs. Christina couldn't notice.

"Stop it," I whined and he stopped with his stupid grin making me feel like I was madly in love with him which was true enough.

I meant, hey, who could say that they killed someone for their boyfriends?

My eyes averted to the window as I sighed longingly at the life I left behind me earlier. There were so many deep feelings that remained shattered about everything that has been going on.

The sun said hello to us as the breeze of Dallas made us feel serene and welcomed. We had finally reached and my body was in a desperate need of a transformation, my stomach couldn't stop grumbling the whole way.

"We're here, let's go get cleaned up," Mrs. Christina announced and we stood out of the beaten up car, it wasn't that bad because it had a tough foundation of metal and expensive protection system but a few scraps and broken windows were there.

We went inside and breathed the fresh air, Levy's hand wrapped around mine and we walked inside with faraway eyes thinking about the latter of the consequence.

What if it was the other way around? what if one of us died? what if the police found out about Levy at the end?

It was too much to think about so I let the soothing water on my body relax me into a temporary pleasure before I had to study and focus on graduating since I was already late. I could hear the other shower running when Levy got in the tub while I was in the shower stall.

I stared at the wall as the water trickled down my body like a collection of rivers. My bruises faded slightly than before but my left wrist still hurt.

After the twenty minutes shower, I wrapped a towel around me and padded to the bedroom, letting it fall and hearing Levy's whistle, I rolled my eyes about the fact I forgot that he was a hormonal guy.

I changed into a comfortable maroon hoodie with red shorts from the new clothes Mrs. Christina bought me.

Levy took his sweet time changing and teasing me before we actually got into the materials for our first final and it just had to be history, I groaned as Levy gave me the full revision paper his mother got while we were away and we started flipping through pages.

After many pep talks to myself, I finally was able to somehow focus on Zeus and the other historical facts. We were majorly improving but one thought begged to get out of my mouth.

"Levy, what if the police finds out about your identity?" I asked and bit my lower lip in thought.

Levy sighed and pulled me on his lap, he stroked my hair and kissed the side of my forehead.

"They won't, I made sure to hide my trails, they still think I'm Cooper," he responded as our history papers scattered around us like an army.

"What if one of the men escaped?" I gasped and he shook his head in denial.

"Nope, we made sure to kill them all," he protested and I felt relieved that Levy's sort it out faster than I thought.

"Now, let's get back to studying," he reminded me and we kept revising in each other's arms like cheesy couples of 2018.

Mrs. Christina came to check up on us and told us that Dimitria and her mom were safe then went back to handle her work. It was a busy day in the household, I knew for a fact that I would ace the first test due to Levy's strong memory helping me.

With that in mind, I smiled up at Levy and he smiled back at me knowing that we already got this and we would start building our life together after the finals.

All I could do was pray for peace after the extremely tough journey we had.
