⚠️TRIGGER WARNING. THIS CHAPTER WILL INVOLVE SELF HARM. IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THIS, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS CHAPTER.

So, anyone who has read the Los Angeles BB Murder Case book will know all of this, but for anyone who has not, here is a short description of A.

A was one of the first children at Wammy's House, along with Beyond Birthday. Not much is said about A, but it is stated that he took his own life because he couldn't handle the pressure of possibly succeeding L. So, my interpretation of A will have severe anxiety and depression. Also, some believe that A resembles Mello.

You walk down the hallways of Wammy's House, the place that took you in when your parents abandoned you. You had become best friends with the two boys who lived here, and the three of you did nearly everything together.

You had become worried when A did not show up for class this morning. Beyond tried to calm you down by telling you that he was probably just not feeling well, but it didn't make you feel better. You decided that after class you would go and find him.

You stopped at his bedroom door and knocked lightly

"A," you call, "are you in there?" You turn the doorknob and push the door open.

The sight in front of you horrifies you to your very core. A was standing in front of his desk with a blade in his hand. You could see the green plastic from the pencil sharpener he broke to get the blade. Blood dripped down both of his wrists, and onto his carpet.

"A!" You call, rushing over to the blonde boy. Tears drip down his cheeks, and he drops the blade. You inspect his arms and see cuts across both arms, almost up to his elbows.

"We've got to get you to the nurse!" You gently grab his hand and try to pull him, but he refuses to move

"No, I'm not going to the nurse," he doesn't look into your eyes, he keeps his gaze focused on the ground. You sigh, you had caught him doing this more than once, and he was always ashamed of himself and would refuse to see anyone except yourself and Beyond.

"B!" You yell, grabbing a towel to wrap around A's forearms

"Yes Y/N?" Beyond steps into the room and sees the towel wrapped around A's arms, "I'm on it. Get him to the bathroom and clean the blood off," Beyond rushes out of the room

You take A to the closest bathroom and run his arms under warm water. You look at his arms, and how many times he'd cut himself, and begin to feel very upset. You hold your breath and don't allow yourself to cry.

"Alright, I've got everything," Beyond walks into the bathroom and sets more towels, saline solution, disinfectant gel, and rolls of bandages on the counter.

You turn the water off and take the saline solution. A grits his teeth as you pour it over his forearms. You then pat them down and rub the disinfectant gel over the cuts. And finally, you wrap each of his arms in bandages.

"I've got to work on an assignment, I'll come and check on him later," Beyond says, beginning to walk out of the bathroom

"Okay, thanks B," you say, while picking up another towel. You gently move A's bangs out of his eyes and wipe the tears off of his cheeks. The two of you then walk back to his room, and he sits on the bed while you clean the blood off of his desk and carpet.

You sit down beside him, and wrap your arms around him. You didn't know what to say, you never really did.

"Y/N... Thank you... For everything..." You hear A whisper this, and let him go just enough to look into his eyes

"A, you know that B and I care about you more than anything," you start to cry, "I don't know what I'd do if something were to happen to you," A wipes your tears with his thumbs

"Please don't cry Y/N... I hate seeing you cry," and he hated knowing that he was the reason that you were crying.

~~~
A few weeks passed, and A's arms had healed, aside from the scars.
During class, A asked you to meet him outside under the big tree in the backyard after class. Of course, you said yes.
Class ended, and you quickly made your way to the big tree. You could see A waiting under the tree, biting his lip, something he always did when he was anxious.
"Hey, A!" You call, smiling at the nervous boy. He smiles at you as you make your way over to him.
"What's up?" You ask, looking at A. He avoids your eyes, and looks at the grass. He looks at you, closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.
"Y/N... I like you... Like, a lot..." You smile at his confession, and take his hand. You press your lips gently to his, and he nervously kisses you back.
You pull away, "I like you too, A," he smiles and places his free hand on your cheek
"Can I kiss you again?" He asks, looking into your eyes
"Dude! You aren't supposed to ask!" You hear Beyond shout from somewhere not far from the two of you. You giggle as A's cheeks go red.
"Yes, you can," you answer, making him smile, and he carefully presses his lips to yours. When you pull away, Beyond slaps A on the back
"Congratulations A! I knew you could do it!" Beyond shouts, laughing at A's red cheeks. You laugh as well, covering your mouth with your hand to try and hide it.
"Now Y/N, if he gets too handsy, let me know, and I'll punch him for you," Beyond says, leaning his arm on your shoulder. A blushes darker.
"B, leave him alone!" You hit his arm jokingly, and he laughs again.
"Alright, alright, I'm done. Don't get into any trouble, lovebirds," Beyond walks back into the orphanage.
You look up at A, and hug him tightly. He wraps his arms around your back and gives you a gentle squeeze, kissing the top of your head.
I wanted this to exist, and now it does. I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who wanted this to exist, but I think poor little A needs more love.
