I should probably name this Chapter 9 pt. 1-

Y/n woke up early the next morning with an uncomfortable feeling deep in her chest. Damian still hadn't contacted her and it resulted in crappy sleep. Putting the thoughts of her boyfriend away, she sat up in bed and threw the blanket aside before she stretched. As she lifted her arms above her head her muscles burned with relieving pain that caused her to wake up. Y/n stood up to check her phone, dismissing the alarm set to remind her of the doctor's appointment. She chewed her bottom lip as she moved around the room, she put on clean clothes, brushed her teeth, fixed her hair, and grabbed her bag. Unzipping the bag, Y/n checked the contents and was happy with it: some snacks for the waiting room, an extra charger, headphones, keys, and her wallet. Plus her pocket knife Damian insisted she kept in her bag at all times. Y/n rolled her shoulders as she closed her bedroom door.

There didn't seem to be anyone else awake at this time so she had nobody to say bye to. Plugging in her headphones, Y/n went to the kitchen to grab an apple for a quick breakfast. She rinsed the roundest apple and took a bite out of the sweet fruit. Y/n turned around to leave but jumped back when Terra was standing there with her arms crossed.

"Where are you going?"

Y/n looked Terra up and down, she noticed the blonde was fully dressed in her hero uniform. Usually that was Raven's thing.

"I have a doctor's appointment," Y/n answered carefully. "Nothing exciting. Might walk around the city after. You?" She gestured to Terra's outfit.

"Training." Terra didn't elaborate. Y/n paused and glanced to the window where she saw Terra a few nights before.

"You haven't heard from Damian have you?"

Terra rested her hands on her hips. "No, why would I? I don't talk to that asshole."

Liar.

Y/n nodded and started to walk past Terra when she grabbed the other girl's wrist. Y/n leaned close, "If you hear from him, let me know?"

Terra sneered and yanked her arm back but Y/n left before she could hear what Terra had to say.

---

Y/n pulled her phone out once she was on the bus and half scoffed after she thought back to Terra. Why was she lying? When Y/n grabbed her wrist and felt her pulse it was obvious there was something she was hiding. Terra probably knew her pulse was being checked but not about the tracker Y/n slipped onto her shirt. The device still had her placed at the Tower. Y/n huffed and put her phone away to check which stop the bus was at.

The old lady next to Y/n was talking to another elderly woman in another language. Something about their grandchild's birthday. It made her wonder whether or not she had grandparents out there somewhere. Her adopted grandparents were a colorful bunch and were adored by Y/n but it made her long for the grandparent she never got the chance to know. Shaking the thoughts from her head, Y/n got off the bus and continued walking to the hospital.

The hospital in Jump City wasn't as big as the one in Star City or Gotham City but it was fine. Most of the outer part of the hospital was glass so you could see the decorations inside. Y/n was assigned to the pediatrician section of the hospital because she was not eighteen but she didn't mind. Though they let her go in on her own which Y/n was confused by at first then learned to not question it. Y/n had her own personal doctor there that was brought in whenever she checked in so her and her family's secret was not exposed plus a private floor (being rich had its perks). Dr. Grand was nice, she was trusted by the Queen family. Y/n walked through the sliding doors and went to the receptionist.

"I have an appointment with Dr. Grand. For Y/n Queen."

The man nodded and checked her in, telling her which way to go. Knowing the layout by heart, Y/n went up the elevator to her floor. The desk upstairs made sure to ID her, then let her go to her assigned room. Y/n smiled and waved bye then walked through the halls until she came to her room. The plate read "Patient: Queen; Doctor: Grand". Only she and her doctor were allowed in this room unless stated otherwise.

Y/n opened the door and expected Dr. Grand to be at her seat like usual but the room was empty. As Y/n stepped in she was hit with the powerful smell of artificial flowers. Y/n hung her bag on the metal hook next to the door. She scrunched her nose and looked around for the source. There was something plugged into the outlet that was dispensing the awful smell. Y/n unplugged it and set it next to the sink.

It feels like it's going to burn my nose hairs off.

Y/n made a face and sat down, waiting for Dr. Grand.

Ten minutes passed and a new smell started to fill the room. It was worse than the flowers but she couldn't make out what it was. The two odors mixed together and created something disgusting. Y/n pulled out her phone to call her father when she heard it. It was barely audible but it made her look over to the sink. On the floor there was a red dot that made Y/n's stomach sink. Y/n took out her pocket knife and walked over to the droplet, she crouched down and swiped her finger across the drop. She looked at the small red dot on her finger: blood. A drip splashed onto her nose which made her flinch.

Y/n stood up and didn't bother wiping the blood away. She looked up at the ceiling. Blood was being absorbed into the panels. Y/n opened the closet to grab the broom and, with a shaky breath, moved the ceiling panel. Y/n gasped and jumped out of the way when a body fell out of the ceiling. Y/n whimpered and covered her mouth.

"Dr. Grand..."

Y/n quickly knelt down to check the doctor's pulse but it was no use. Dr. Grand was dead.

Someone here wants to kill me.

Paranoia filled Y/n as she gripped her knife. She stood up and tried to think of a plan.

Shit shit shit!

Y/n needed to clean herself up and call someone. She reached for the paper towel dispenser but paused when she saw something in the reflection of the metal box. Someone was outside of the room, Y/n could see their feet from underneath the door.

Forgetting the towel, Y/n hide next to the door, waiting to attack. The door opened so she was mostly hidden and someone who looked like another doctor crossed his arms. He spoke into his watch.

"Miss Markov, the girl got away."

Of course it was her. Someone, presumably Terra, cursed and hung up. Y/n needed to figure out who the hell this guy was. She reached up and wrapped her hands around the hook her bag was hanging on. She lifted her legs and kicked out, the door flung shut with a slam, knocking the guy down in the process.

He groaned and tried to get up but before he could Y/n punched in the face. His head connected with the tile floor rather hard. She grabbed him by the back of his collar and threw him into the wall, she pinned him and pressed the knife into his neck, drawing blood.

"Who are you?" She growled.

The man smiled with blood filling his mouth and glanced behind Y/n. Someone wrapped a wire around Y/n's neck and pulled her back. She dropped the knife and her hands shot up to pull at her neck. Y/n practically ran up the first man's body to flip over the second person and slam them onto the floor. The first man pulled a large needle out and started to charge towards her. Gasping once she was free, Y/n threw the knife at the first man and stabbed him in the chest.

Y/n spit on the floor and stepped over the second guy's body to grab the first guy by the hair and force him to look at her.

"Who are you?"

"Long live Brother Blood," he pulled the knife out and stabbed himself in the heart.

Y/n let go of his hair and stepped back. Someone was bound to have heard everything. She grabbed her back and swung it onto her back then checked out the men to grab any weapons. The first only had the needle but the second - who was dressed in the cult's uniform - had a grappling device. Y/n attached it to her hip and pulled out her phone. She got an alert from Terra's tracking device. The girl was somewhere far away from the Tower. Y/n memorized the location and figured that was where she needed to go.

"That bitch."

Then she got a call from Richard and Y/n thought about answering but didn't.

If someone was after me then the team is in danger. I can't tell if they're tracking me or if this will even be Richard.

Y/n turned her phone off and smashed it against the counter. She couldn't risk anyone tracking her. Y/n ran out of the room and through the hall. She shouldn't take the elevators or the front door. Deciding on the staircase, Y/n ran up the stairs until she reached the ground level. Readying her knife for anything, Y/n opened the door. Thankfully there was nobody there.

She needed to find Terra, beat the shit out of her and get some answers. Before she could do that she needed to get back to the Tower. She left through another exit and looked around for something to ride back to her home. Across the street there was someone getting off a motorcycle, they were placing their helmet on the seat. It might have been unethical to steal it but it was her quickest option.

Y/n ran towards the bike and put on the helmet to hide her face. The bike's owner shouted at her and started to jog back to their bike.

"Sorry official Teen Titans business!" Y/n turned on the bike and drove past them. "I'll pay you back!" She turned to face the road and weaved through the traffic until she reached the island.

Y/n skidded to a stop and took off the helmet to look up at the Tower.

"I'm getting sick of this fucking job."
